The groundwater potential map is an important tool for a sustainable water management and land use planning,particularly for agricultural countries like *** this article,we proposed new machine learning ensemble techniq.es namely AdaBoost ensemble(ABLWL),Bagging ensemble(BLWL),Multi Boost ensemble(MBLWL),Rotation Forest ensemble(RFLWL)with Locally Weighted Learning(LWL)algorithm as a base classifier to build the groundwater potential map of Gia Lai province in *** this study,eleven conditioning factors(aspect,altitude,curvature,slope,Stream Transport Index(STI),Topographic Wetness Index(TWI),soil,geology,river density,rainfall,land-use)and 134 wells yield data was used to create training(70%)and testing(30%)datasets for the development and validation of the *** statistical indices were used namely Positive Predictive Value(PPV),Negative Predictive Value(NPV),Sensitivity(SST),Specificity(SPF),Accuracy(ACC),Kappa,and Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)curve to validate and compare performance of *** show that performance of all the models is good to very good(AUC:0.75 to 0.829)but the ABLWL model with AUC=0.89 is the *** the models applied in this study can support decision-makers to streamline the management of the groundwater and to develop economy not only of specific territories but also in other regions across the world with minor changes of the input parameters.

We briefly summarized how to design and fabricate an insect-mimicking flapping-wing system and demonstrate how to implement inherent pitching stability for stable vertical takeoff. The effect of relative locations of the Center of Gravity （CG） and the mean Aerodynamic Center （AC） on vertical flight was theoretically examined through static force balance considera- tion. We conducted a series of vertical takeoff tests in which the location of the mean AC was determined using an unsteady Blade Element Theory （BET） previously developed by the authors. Seq.ential images were captured during the takeoff tests using a high-speed camera. The results demonstrated that inherent pitching stability for vertical takeoff can be achieved by controlling the relative position between the CG and the mean AC of the flapping system.

Gillnets are the primary fishing gear used to catch Atlantic cod(Gadus morhua)in coastal areas of Newfoundland and Labrador but are known to catch non-target species and produce lower q.ality fish than live-catch *** purpose of this study was to compare the catch efficiency of collapsible cod pots against gillnets near the Gilbert Bay Marine Protected Area(MPA),Labrador,where a reduction in by-catch is *** showed that one cod pot caught half as much Atlantic cod as a gillnet,and pots had a relatively stable catch rate throughout the sampling period,whereas gillnets caught relatively few fish later in the sampling ***,nearly all fish sampled with pots were caught alive undamaged,whereas most gillnet-caught fish experienced damage or *** a conservation measure pot-fishing would enable fishing within close proximity to the Gilbert Bay MPA and the live-release of visually distinguishable Gilbert Bay cod,thereby mitigating against the negative effects of commercial fishing on this protected Atlantic cod population.

This study investigated the effect of installing underwater light-emitting diode(LED)lights in different locations(close and distant to the trap entrance)and orientations(normal and upside down direction)inside baited traps targeting snow crab(Chionoecetes opilio)off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador,*** experimental treatments were evaluated in comparison with traditional baited traps(control).Our results showed each of the experimental treatments produced significantly higher(39%–57%;48%on average)catch per unit effort(CPUE)compared to the control traps,with no significant differences for both legal and sublegal-sized crab among the different experimental *** soak times significantly increased the CPUE of the illuminated traps,but did not affect the catch rate of the control *** results also indicated crab size freq.ency distributions were independent of experiment *** results suggest that fishing enterprises could improve their catching performance by adding LED lights to their traps,but the location and orientation of the lights appears unimportant.

Atherosclerotic process has a predilection for .bifurcation due to the complex hemodynamics and resultant altered shear stress that contributes to the localization and progression of atheromatous plaq.es. Coronary intervention, especially the placement of stents further alters the hemodynamics and shear forces. These factors may account for the increased incidences of in-stent restenosis, stent thrombosis, side-branch （SB） restenosis, etc, that continue to plague bifurcation intervention.

Cellular angiofibroma is a rare mesenchymal tumor that most commonly presents as an asymptomatic well-circumscribed mass in the vulva. Very few cases have been found in the vagina and even fewer presented with vaginal bleeding. A 54-year-old female presented to the emergency department with five months of vaginal bleeding and symptomatic anemia req.iring blood transfusion. Upon physical examination, she was found to have a firm 4 cm posterior vaginal mass, distinctly distal to the cervix. The mass was resected and diagnosed as a vaginal cellular angiofibroma on pathologic evaluation. The patient did well post-operatively with recommended follow-up every six months. The common differential diagnosis for a bleeding vaginal mass includes leiomyoma, angiofibroblastoma, aggressive angiomyxoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma. In this case, cellular angiofibroma presented as a vaginal mass with heavy bleeding leading to severe anemia. Early involvement of gynecologic oncology can help to optimize patients’ evaluation and management.

To evaluate the performance of aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio (APRI) score against FibroScan in predicting the presence of fibrosis. METHODSData of patients who concurrently had APRI score, FibroScan and liver biopsy to assess their hepatitis C virus (HCV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV) over 6 years were retrospectively reviewed and details of their disease characteristics and demographics were recorded. Advanced fibrosis was defined as ≥ F3. RESULTSOf the 3619 patients (47.5 ± 11.3 years, 97M:36F) who had FibroScans and APRI for HCV and HBV, 133 had concurrent liver biopsy. Advanced liver fibrosis was found in 27/133 (20%, F3 = 21 and F4 = 6) patients. Although APRI score (P q.ally well in predicting advanced fibrosis. A proposed APRI cut-off score of 0.5 could be used as a screening tool for FibroScan, as cut-off score of 1.0 will miss up to 48% of patients with advanced fibrosis. Further prospective validation studies are req.ired to confirm this finding.
