Fermented calcium butyrate supplementation in post-peak laying hens improved ovarian function and tibia quality through the“gut-bone” axis

The compromised egg quality and leg abnormality during the end of the laying cycle(after 40 weeks)have been leading to poor animal welfare and substantial economic losses. Therefore, the effects of fermented calcium(Ca) butyrate, produced by fermentation by Clostridium butyricum, on production,eggshell quality, and tibial property of hens were explored. A total of 192 Hy-line brown laying hens at50-week-old were assigned to a basal diet or the basal diet with 300 mg/kg of the fermented Ca butyrate from 50 to 58 weeks of age. Each treatment had 6 replicates with 16 hens each. The diet supplemented with 300 mg/kg fermented Ca butyrate notably increased egg weight, ovarian follicle number, and eggshell strength(P = 0.072) as compared to the basal diet, which were associated with cytokine secretion, toll-like receptor signaling pathways, and intestinal immunity based on the RNA-seq data from the granulosa. Dietary Ca butyrate inclusion decreased the expression of ileal tumor necrosis factor-alpha and serum pro-inflammatory cytokine concentration, as well as increased the content of serum immunoglobulin A when compared to the basal diet(both P 0.05). In addition, the diet with fermented Ca butyrate reduced the number of osteoclasts in the proximal tibia and the level of C-terminal cross-linked telopeptide of type I collagen, a bone resorption marker(P < 0.05), whereas it tended to increase the concentration of the procollagen type I N-terminal propeptide that reflects bone formation marker in serum. Moreover, the layers fed fermented Ca butyrate diets possessed higher(P < 0.05) bone area and trabecular number of the proximal tibia, yield load, and ultimate load than those that consumed basal diets. Objective:To investigate the prevalence and risk factors associated with long COVID symptoms among children and adolescents who have recovered from COVID-19.Methods:This study applied a cross-sectional approach within community settings in a southern province of Vietnam.A structured questionnaire featuring socio-demographic information and common long COVID symptoms was employed.Phi correlation coefficients assessed associations among pairs of long COVID symptoms.Additionally,multivariable logistic regression models were performed to investigate the risk factors of long COVID in recovered COVID-19 children and adolescents.Results:Among 422 participants,39.3%reported long COVID symptoms,with a prevalence of 45.2%(SD=0.5)in children and 22.2%(SD=0.4)in adolescents.Common symptoms reported were cough 34.6%(SD=0.5),fatigue 20.6%(SD=0.4),shortness of breath 10.9%(SD=0.3),and lack of appetite 6.6%(SD=0.3).Concerning risk factors of long COVID,a higher risk was observed among demographic groups,including girls(OR 1.25,95%CI 1.15-1.37;Ptudy provide crucial guidance for predicting the factors associated with the occurrence of long COVID in pediatric patients,contributing to strategic interventions aimed at mitigating the long COVID risks among children and adolescents in Vietnam.

In this study, a novel layer-by-layer polyaniline/graphene （PANi/Gr） structure for electrochemical detec- tion of atrazine was developed. Gr film was synthesized by thermal chemical vapor deposition （CVD） method and transferred onto the PANi-predeposited microelectrode. The properties of PANi/Gr film were thoroughly investigated by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and Raman techniques. The most attractive feature of this system is a suitable microenvironment, which could provide an amplifi- cation of the conductive signal, thus may contribute to enhancing electron transfer and subsequently improve the sensitivity in electrochemical measurements. With low detection limit （- 43 × 10 -12 g/L）, ac-ceptable stability and good reproducibility, the proposed electrochemical immunosensor could be advantageously extended for multiplexed detection of other agents of environmental pollution.

A Simple Approach to the Fabrication of Graphene-Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Films on Copper Substrate by Chemical Vapor Deposition

In this study,graphene-carbon nanotube（CNT） hybrid films were directly synthesized on polycrystalline copper（Cu） substrates by thermal chemical vapor deposition（CVD） method.Graphene films were synthesized on Cu substrate at 1000 ℃ in mixture of gases:argon（Ar）,hydrogen（H2）,and methane（CH4）.Then,carbon nanotubes（CNTs） were grown uniformly on the surface of graphene/Cu films at 750 ℃ in mixture of Ar,H2.and acetylene（C2H2） gases.Ferric salt FeCl3solution deposited onto the surface of graphene/Cu substrate by spin coating method was used as precursor for the growth of the CNTs.The density and quality of the CNTs on the surface of graphene/Cu films can be controlled by varying the concentration of FeCl3salt catalyst.

越南铁路是越南的重要基础设施,是越南经济发展的引擎。铁路对于加强军队建设,促进经济发展,满足人民物质生活、精神生活的需要发挥着极为重要的作用。越南铁路目前主要为单线米轨,运行时速低,安全性差,所产生的经济效益低,故而以此为背景对越南铁路提速后所带来的客货流量以及经济效益进行研究。本文是在充分了解越南国情与正确认识越南铁路行业发展现状的基础之上对列车提速后给社会、经济带来的整体效益进行分析与评价,通过预测客运量,调查分析,总结对比,通过数据分析发展铁路的必要性。首先,对经济和社会效益的研究现状进行了分步式总结。通过了解越南的情况,从实际例子中得出铁路提速后的影响。目前铁路提速的相关研究对经济效益和社会效益的特点和重点缺乏深入的阐述。现在模型构建的评价方法有很多,但对于假设和实证中涉及的问题却没有明确的结论或理论支持,这正是我们迫切需要解决的问题。其次,通过对各种评价方法的比较,并结合多国提速典范,预测越南铁路提速后给到的影响,本文数据来源是河内汽车站、火车站和机场乘客的出行调研表,通过选用转移预测客运量、诱发预测客运量模型来评价越南铁路现状。利用上述评价方法的基本思路和方法,本文完成了越南铁路提速的经济效益和社会效益的评价。越南铁路规模、运输能力制约了越南社会进步,这无疑成为了越南经济发展的瓶颈。当运输能力不能满足运输需求时,通过借鉴其他国家铁路提速的经验。同时结合自身的条件,在现有线路上通过科学改造技术进行规划、调整、提速,加强运输组织能力,优化运力资源的配置,进而提高铁路的运输效率。最后,以中国、日本、德国等较发达的铁路提速收获和发展经验,本文通过研究包括既有线路提速对于铁路运输的影响在内的许多问题,分析了列车提速给越南产生的社会效益和经济效益,得出结论,证明越南铁路提速是非常必要的,以及提速后所带经济社会效益。

One-step hydrothermal synthesis of Sn-doped α-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles for enhanced photocatalytic degradation of Congo red

We report on the synthesis of Sn-doped hematite nanoparticles(Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs)by the hydrothermal method.The prepared Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs had a highly pure and well crystalline rhombohedral phase with an average particle size of 41.4 nm.The optical properties of as-synthesizedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs show a higher bandgap energy(2.40-2.57 eV)than that of pure bulkα-Fe_(2)O_(3)(2.1 eV).By doping Sn intoα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs,the Sn-doped hematite was observed a redshift toward a long wavelength with in-creasing Sn concentration from 0%to 4.0%.The photocatalytic activity of Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs was evaluated by Congo red(CR)dye degradation.The degradation efficiency of CR dye using Sn-α-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs catalyst is higher than that of pureα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs.The highest degradation efficiency of CR dye was 97.8%using 2.5%Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) NPs catalyst under visible-light irradi-ation.These results suggest that the synthesized Sn-dopedα-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles might be a suitable approach to develop a photocatalytic degradation of toxic inorganic dye in wastewater.

Tin electronucleation and growth from Sn(II) in nonaqueous solutions based on ethylene glycol: Electrochemical behavior and temperature effect

Thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of tin electronucleation and growth processes onto a glassy carbon electrode from SnCl2·2H2O dissolved in ethylene glycol solutions were studied. Typical reduction and oxidation peaks observed in voltammograms have demonstrated the capability of ethylene glycol solutions to electrodeposit Sn. The temperature-dependence of diffusion coefficient values derived from potentiodynamic and potentiostatic studies helped to determine and validate estimations of the activation energy for Sn(II) bulk diffusion. Chronoamperometric results have identified that， the suitable model to describe the early stage of Sn electrodeposition could be composed of Sn three-dimensional nucleation and diffusion-controlled growth and water reduction contributions， which was duly validated by theoretical and experimental approaches. From the model， typical kinetic parameters such as nucleation frequency， A， number density of tin nuclei， N0， and D， were determined. The presence of tin nuclei with excellent quality and their structure were verified using SEM， EDX， and XRD techniques.

Deep Reinforcement Learning Based Decision‑Making Strategy of Autonomous Vehicle in Highway Uncertain Driving Environments

Uncertain environment on multi-lane highway,e.g.,the stochastic lane-change maneuver of surrounding vehicles,is a big challenge for achieving safe automated highway driving.To improve the driving safety,a heuristic reinforcement learning decision-making framework with integrated risk assessment is proposed.First,the framework includes a long short-term memory model to predict the trajectory of surrounding vehicles and a future integrated risk assessment model to estimate the possible driving risk.Second,a heuristic decaying state entropy deep reinforcement learning algorithm is introduced to address the exploration and exploitation dilemma of reinforcement learning.Finally,the framework also includes a rule-based vehicle decision model for interaction decision problems with surrounding vehicles.The proposed framework is validated in both low-density and high-density traffic scenarios.The results show that the traffic efficiency and vehicle safety are both improved compared to the common dueling double deep Q-Network method and rule-based method.

Combining Entropy Optimization and Sobel Operator for Medical Image Fusion

Fusing medical images is a topic of interest in processing medical images.This is achieved to through fusing information from multimodality images for the purpose of increasing the clinical diagnosis accuracy.This fusion aims to improve the image quality and preserve the specific features.The methods of medical image fusion generally use knowledge in many differentfields such as clinical medicine,computer vision,digital imaging,machine learning,pattern recognition to fuse different medical images.There are two main approaches in fusing image,including spatial domain approach and transform domain approachs.This paper proposes a new algorithm to fusion multimodal images.This algorithm is based on Entropy optimization and the Sobel operator.Wavelet transform is used to split the input images into components over the low and high frequency domains.Then,two fusion rules are used for obtaining the fusing images.Thefirst rule,based on the Sobel operator,is used for high frequency components.The second rule,based on Entropy optimization by using Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm,is used for low frequency components.Proposed algorithm is implemented on the images related to central nervous system diseases.The experimental results of the paper show that the proposed algorithm is better than some recent methods in term of brightness level,the contrast,the entropy,the gradient and visual informationfidelity for fusion(VIFF),Feature Mutual Information(FMI)indices.
