Three-Dimensional Meshfree Analysis of Interlocking Concrete Blocks for Step Seawall Structure

This study adapts the flexible characteristic of meshfree method in analyzing three-dimensional(3D)complex geometry structures,which are the interlocking concrete blocks of step *** elastostatic behavior of the block is analysed by solving the Galerkin weak form formulation over local support *** 3D moving least square(MLS)approximation is applied to build the interpolation functions of *** pre-defined number of nodes in an integration domain ranging from 10 to 60 nodes is also investigated for their effect on the studied *** accuracy and efficiency of the studied method on 3D elastostatic responses are validated through the comparison with the solutions of standard finite element method(FEM)using linear shape functions on tetrahedral elements and the well-known commercial software,*** results show that elastostatic responses of studied concrete block obtained by meshfree method converge faster and are more accurate than those of standard *** studied meshfree method is effective in the analysis of static responses of complex geometry *** amount of discretised nodes within the integration domain used in building MLS shape functions should be in the range from 30 to 60 nodes and should not be less than 20 nodes.

Wastewater containing an azo dye Orange G(OG)causes massive environmental pollution,thus it is critical to develop a highly effective,environmental-friendly,and reusable catalyst in peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for OG *** this work,we successfully applied a magnetic MnFe_(2)O_(4)/α-MnO_(2) hybrid fabricated by a simple hydrothermal method for OG removal in *** characteristics of the hybrid were investigated by Xray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,Brunauer–Emmett–Teller method,vibrating sample magnetometry,electron paramagnetic resonance,thermogravimetric analysis,and X-ray photoelectron *** effects of operational parameters(i.e.,catalytic system,catalytic dose,solution pH,and temperature)were *** results exhibited that 96.8% of OG degradation was obtained with MnFe_(2)O_(4)/α-MnO2(1:9)/PMS system in 30 min regardless of solution pH ***,the possible reaction mechanism of the coupling system was proposed,and the degradation intermediates of OG were identified by mass *** radical quenching experiments and EPR tests demonstrated that SO_(4)•̶,O_(2)•̶,and 1O2 were the primary reactive oxygen species responsible for the OG *** hybrid also displayed unusual stability with less than 30%loss in the OG removal after four sequential ***,magnetic MnFe2O4/α-MnO2 hybrid could be used as a high potential activator of PMS to remove orange G and maybe other dyes from wastewater.

This paper presents the calibration of a neutron dose rate meter and the evaluation of its calibration factors(CFs)in several neutron standard fields(i.e.,two standard fields with bare sources of252Cf and241Am-Be,and five simulated workplace fields with241Am-Be moderated sources).The calibration in standard fields with bare sources was conducted by following the recommendations of the ISO 8529 *** measured total neutron ambient dose equivalent rates,denoted as H*(10)tot,were analyzed to obtain direct components,denoted as H*(10)dir,using a reduced fitting *** CF was then calculated as the ratio between the conventional true value of the neutron ambient dose equivalent rate in a free field,denoted as H*(10)FF,and the value of H*(10)*** contrast,in the simulated workplace neutron fields,the calibration of the neutron dose rate meter was conducted by following the ISO 12789 *** CF was calculated as the ratio between the values of H*(10)totmeasured by a standard instrument(i.e.,Bonner sphere spectrometer)and the neutron dose rate *** CF values were obtained in the range of 0.88–*** standard uncertainties(k=1)of the CFs were determined to be in the range of approximately 6.6–13.1%.

Surface PEGylation of hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles via aminated intermediate

A hybrid of organic/inorganic system, hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles functionalized with poly(ethylene glycol), was synthesized in the presence of coupling agent and aminated ends. Doxorubicin(DOX) was used as a model drug to evaluate the effect of PEGylation on the loading capacity and release pattern of the *** with transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), nitrogen adsorption-desorption, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier transformed infrared(FTIR) confirmed the PEG conjugation, as well as the amorphous mesoporous nature of the synthesized particles. Due to the capping effect of PEG molecules over the pores in the silica structure, the synthesized system was able to retain higher amount of cargo and establish a controlled manner when releasing.

New Collective Signatures Based on the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem

There have been many digital signature schemes were developed based on the discrete logarithm problem on a finite *** this study,we use the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem to build new collective signature *** cryptosystem on elliptic curve allows to generate digital signatures with the same level of security as other cryptosystems but with smaller *** extend practical applicability and enhance the security level of the group signature protocols,we propose two new types of collective digital signature schemes based on the discrete logarithm problem on the elliptic curve:i)the collective digital signature scheme shared by several signing groups and ii)the collective digital signature scheme shared by several signing groups and several individual *** two new types of collective signatures have combined the advantages of group digital signatures and collective digital *** signatures have a fixed size and do not depend on the number of members participating in the creation of the final collective *** of the advantages of the proposed collective signature protocols is that they can be deployed on top of the available public key infrastructures.

Constructing Collective Signature Schemes Using Problem of Finding Roots Modulo

Digital signature schemes are often built based on the difficulty of the discrete logarithm problems,of the problem of factor analysis,of the problem of finding the roots modulo of large primes or a combination of the difficult problems mentioned *** this paper,we use the new difficult problem,which is to find the wth root in the finite ground field GF(p)to build representative collective signature schemes,but the chosen modulo p has a special structure distinct p=Nt_(0)t_(1)t_(2)+1,where N is an even number and t_(0),t_(1),t_(2) are prime numbers of equal magnitude,about 80 *** characteristics of the proposed scheme are:i)The private key of each signer consists of 2 components(K_(1),K_(2)),randomly selected,but the public key has only one component(Y)calculated by the formula Y=K_(w)^(1)_(1) K^(w)_(2)^(2);w_(1)=t_(0)t_(1) and w_(2)=t_(0)t_(2);and ii)The generated signature consists of a set of 3 components(e,S_(1),S_(2)).We use the technique of hiding the signer’s public key Y,which is the coefficientλgenerated by the group nanager,in the process of forming the group signature and representative collective signature to enhance the privacy of all members of the signing collective.

Ardisia gigantifolia ethanolic extract inhibits cell proliferation and targets cancer stem cells in gastric cancer

Objective:To evaluate the effects of ethanol extract from Ardisia gigantifolia leaves on cell proliferation and cancer stem cell(CSC)number in gastric ***:The inhibitory effect of Ardisia gigantifolia extract on the proliferation of MKN45 and MKN74 gastric cancer cells was assessed using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide ***-adherent culture(3D)model was used to evaluate the effect of the extract on tumorsphere size and ***,the expression of CD44,ALDH,and p21 was determined by immunofluorescence *** cytometric analysis was performed to evaluate cell cycle arrest and the expression of gastric CSC markers CD44 and ***-time PCR analysis was also carried out to assess the effect of the extract on the expression of cell cycle-regulated ***:Ardisia gigantifolia extract effectively inhibited cell proliferation with an IC_(50)of 55.7μg/m L in MKN45 cells and 123.6μg/m L in MKN74 *** extract also arrested cell cycle in the G_(0)/G_(1)phase as well as significantly reduced the size and number of *** markedly increased expression of p21 was observed at both m RNA and protein levels in the extract-treated adherent cells and *** addition,Ardisia gigantifolia extract significantly reduced the number of CD44-and/or ALDH-expressing gastric ***:The development of gastric CSC can be inhibited by the ethanol extract of Ardisia gigantifolia.

During the last decade,the food and beverage industry has been one of the most significant and prioritized industries that contributed to the economic growth in ***,how to enhance the performance of food and beverage firms has become a critical factor for Vietnam’s economic *** research aims to use the data envelopment analysis(DEA)and the Malmquist productivity index(MPI)to assess changes in operational performance and productivity of listed lead food and beverage firms in Vietnam during the period between 2015 and *** obtained results reveal that Vietnamese food and beverage firms were generally inefficient between 2015 and 2020 because the number of relatively inefficient companies was higher than the relatively efficient ones in each year between 2015 and *** MPI findings indicate the growth in productivity during the study period as a result of technological *** integrating the findings of the relative efficiency and productivity change,this study creates five decision-making matrixes for five periods,respectively,from 2015 to 2020 to position the food and beverage firms in each *** analytical results provide instructions to senior managers on developing strategy for increasing efficiency of food and beverage listed companies in Vietnam.

Constructing Representative Collective Signature Protocols Using The GOST R34.10-1994 Standard

The representative collective digital signature,which was suggested by us,is built based on combining the advantages of group digital signature and collective digital *** collective digital signature schema helps to create a unique digital signature that deputizes a collective of people representing different groups of signers and may also include personal *** advantage of the proposed collective signature is that it can be built based on most of the well-known difficult problems such as the factor analysis,the discrete logarithm and finding modulo roots of large prime numbers and the current digital signature standards of the United States and Russian *** this paper,we use the discrete logarithmic problem on prime finite fields,which has been implemented in the GOST R34.10-1994 digital signature standard,to build the proposed collective signature *** protocols help to create collective signatures:Guaranteed internal integrity and fixed size,independent of the number of members involved in forming the *** signature built in this study,consisting of 3 components(U,R,S),stores the information of all relevant signers in the U components,thus tracking the signer and against the“disclaim of liability”of the signer later is *** idea of hiding the signer’s public key is also applied in the proposed *** makes it easy for the signing group representative to specify which members are authorized to participate in the signature creation process.
