Piglet Diarrhea and Technology Transfers to Prevent E. coli Infection at Small-Holder Pig Farms in Binh Dinh, Vietnam

The study aims at finding alternative interventions for the prevention ofE. coli infection in piglets so as to boost farmers＇ benefits and improve environment in the area. Data were collected from one experimental group consisting of 210 small pig holder farms and one control group of 70 farms. All of 280 litters and sows were analyzed and the techniques of early vaccination at 60-80 d of pregnant （time 1） were applied and repeated after 10 d with E. coli vaccine to produce antibodies through milk. The percentage of piglets with diarrhea caused by E. coli significantly decreased from 75.7% to 18.9%. Injection of E. coli vaccine for the pregnant sows created antibodies for young piglets through colostrums. The treatment of E. coli cost 45,420 Vietnam Dong （VND） per litter in the experimental group and that was 156,000 VND/litter in the control group. Use of betel-bokashi （bio-product as plant antibiotics and Lactobacillus） to treat piglet diarrhea was proved safe and effective. Litter size and average weight at birth and weaning were improved significantly （P 〈 0.05）. The average weaned weight of piglets and sows were 11.2 kg and 118.6 kg in the experimental group, compared to 9.4 kg and 89.9 kg in the control group, respectively. Piglets in the experimental group had good health, no diarrhea and a shorter weaning time （2 d） and mating interval 2.22 days earlier than those in the control group. The average profit of 210 households was significantly higher in the experiment group： feed-cost was much lower than that in the control group. Small-holder farms implementing the experiments of applying the techniques received more financial profit, which was 1,502,000 VND per year per sow, while those who did not apply the techniques gained only 223,000 VND per year per sow.

Optical and NH<sub>3</sub>Gas Sensing Properties of Hole-Transport Layers Based on PEDOT: PSS Incorporated with Nano-TiO<sub>2</sub>

Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) incorporated with nanocrystalline TiO2 powder (PEDOT:PSS+nc-TiO2) films were prepared by spin-coating technique. SEM surface morphology, UV-Vis spectra and NH3 gas sensing of were studied. Results showed that the PEDOT:PSS+nc-TiO2 film with a content of 9.0 wt% of TiO2 is most suitable for both the hole transport layer and the NH3 sensing. The responding time of the sensor made from this composite film reached a value as fast as 20 s. The rapid responsiveness to NH3 gas was attributed to the efficient movement of holes as the major charge carriers in PEDOT:PSS+nc-TiO2 composite films. Useful applications in organic electronic devices like light emitting diodes and gas thin film sensors can be envisaged.

The Performance Evaluation of the Integration of Inertial Navigation System and Global Navigation Satellite System with Analytic Constraints

The integration of GNSS （Global Navigation Satellite System） and INS （Inertial Navigation System） using IMU （Inertial Measurement Unit） is now widely used for MMS （Mobile Mapping System） and navigation applications to seamlessly determine position, velocity and attitude of the mobile platform. With low cost, small size, ligh weight and low power consumtion, the MEMS （Micro-Electro-Mechanical System） IMU and low cost GPS （Global Positioning System） receivers are now the trend in research and using for many applications. However, researchs in the literature indicated that the the performance of the low cost INS/GPS systems is still poor, particularly, in case of GNSS-noise environment. To overcome this problem, this research applies analytic contrains including non-holonomic constraint and zero velocity update in the data fusion engine such as Extended Kalman Filter to improve the performance of the system. The benefit of the proposed method will be demonstrated through experiments and data analysis.

Effect of Combinations of Sucrose and Cryoprotectants on the Survival of Catfish Embryos （Pangasidae hypophthamus）

Although cryopreservation of embryos has been used in most terrestrial animals, the application of this technique has not been succeeded for aquatic animals. In this study, the authors investigate the effect of different combinations of sucrose （SUC, C12H22OH） and cryoprotectants （CPAs） on the survival of the catfish embryos （Pangasidae hypophthalmus） at low temperatures （4, 0 and -20 ℃） for short-term storage. For this aim, embryos with somites and optic cups were exposed to different combinations of sucrose with methanol （SUC ＋ MeOH）, 1.2-propylene glycol （SUC ＋ PROH） and ethylene glycol （SUC ＋ EG） at four concentrations ratios：（1） 0.5 M SUC ＋ 0.5 M CPA; （2） 1 M SUC ＋ 0.5 M CPA; （3） 0.5 M SUC ＋ 1 M CPA; （4） 1 M SUC ＋ 1 M CPA for 40 min at 4, 0 and -20 ℃. Embryos kept in water at room temperature （RT）, 4, 0 and -20℃ were used as controls. The survival rate was expressed as a percentage of hatched embryos per total embryos treated. The results showed that the hatching rate declined significantly when embryos were stored in water at 0 ℃ and -20℃. For embryos at 0 ℃ storage, the highest survival rate （87.78%） was obtained with 1 M SUC ＋ 1 M MeOH combination while at -20 ℃, only embryos in the combined treatments of 0.5 M SUC ＋ 1 MEG and 0.5 M SUC ＋ 1 M PROH reached the hatching stage （40% and 83.33%, respectively）. In conclusion, the results showed that the catfish embryos are sensitive to sub-zero temperatures and the combined treatment of 0.5 M sucrose and 1 M propylene glycol can be used to protect catfish embryos from damages caused by low temperature （0 ℃ and -20 ℃）.

越南西北部Phan Si Pan地区新生代埃达克质侵入岩时代、成因及构造意义——U-Pb锆石年龄、元素地球化学和Hf同位素证据

越南西北部PhanSiPan地区新生代花岗岩,高SiO2(69.95%～70.52%)、A12O3(15.77%～17.11%)、K2O(4.97%～5.63%)、Na2O(4.29%～4.98%),K2O/Na2O=1.02～1.31、Sr(744×10-6～1316×10-6),贫Y(6.93×10-6～8.06×10-6),低MgO和CaO,富集LILE元素及LREE,亏损HREE具有典型的埃达克岩特征。采用LA-ICPMS方法对该岩体进行了U-Pb同位素定年和Hf同位素分析,结果表明该岩体为始新世(38Ma)岩浆活动的产物。锆石Hf同位素研究结果显示,εHf(t)变化范围为-5.5至+7.3,二阶段Hf模式年龄(tDM2)为652Ma至1466Ma、集中在1.1～1.3Ga,说明花岗岩岩体主要由中-(新)元古代地壳物质部分熔融形成。部分锆石具有正的εHf(t)值,可能指示花岗岩岩浆形成的过程中存在壳-幔混合相互作用。越南西北部Phan Si Pan地区新生代花岗岩和扬子地块-(哀牢山-金沙江-红河带)高钾富碱的岩石形成的时代和机制具有密切的关系,可能与印度-亚洲大陆的碰撞导致红河带区域性走滑断裂系统的形成有关。

Landslide susceptibility maps (LSMs) are very crucial for planningpolicies in hazardous areas. However, the accuracy and reliability ofLSMs depend on available data and the selection of suitable *** study is conducted to produce LSMs by combinations of machinelearning methods and weighting techniques for Ha Giang province,Vietnam, where has limited data. In study area, we gather 11 landslideconditioning factors and establish a landslide inventory *** the weights of classes (or factors) is very important toprepare data for machine learning methods to generate LSMs. Wefrst use frequency ratio (FR) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP)techniques to generate the weights. Then, random forest (RF), supportvector machine (SVM), logistic regression (LR), and AHP methods arecombined with FR and AHP weights to yield accurate and reliableLSMs. Finally, the performance of these methods is evaluated by fivestatistical metrics, ROC and R-index. The empirical results have shownthat RF is the best method in terms of R-index and the five metrics, *** rate (0.9661), FP rate (0.0), ACC (0.9835), MAE (0.0046), and RMSE(0.0350) for this study area. This study opens the perspective of weightbasedmachine learning methods for landslide susceptibility mapping.

This study proposes polyvinyl alcohol–potassium iodide(PVA–KI)as a novel gel chemical *** probe uses the reactions among PVA,KI,water,borax,and oxidative species to visualize the distribution of reactive *** method provides information regarding the distribution of reactive species by coloration on the gel *** effects of the surrounding gas phase on the distribution and diffusion of the reactive species are also investigated using the PVA–KI gel ***,the relationship between the irradiation distance and reactive species diffusion is determined on the surface of the PVA–KI probe with and without plastic *** the irradiation distance appropriately leads to an increase in the modified area as detected by the PVA–KI gel probe *** relative concentration distributions of the reactive species are also obtained from visualized color distributions measured using a ***,reactive species generation by long-scale line plasma is confirmed by the color reaction on the PVA–KI gel surface,with a greater area being covered by an atmospheric-pressure pulsed microwave line plasma source.

Research on Dyeing Process for Polyamide with Aqueous Extracted from the Fruits of Diospyros Mollis

In this study, polyamide fabrics were dyed with aqueous extracts from Diospyros Mollis fruits. The aqueous extracts from Diospyros Mollis fruits were extracted with water solution at room temperature and a ratio of 1：5 for Diospyros Mollis to water. The influences of temperature in range of 50-100 ℃, time in range of 30-80 minutes and a ratio of aqueous extracts to water in range of 3/1-1/11 were investigated. The results showed that the aqueous extracts from Diospyros Mollis fruits could dye polyamide fabrics to have black color with color strength and fastness properties to be very good level of 4-5.

目的：对单独补充维生素D与结合补充维生素D和钙与安慰剂和钙剂对比预防中老年骨质疏松性骨折的疗效进行系统评价。方法：计算机检索Cochrane协作网数据库(1992-2014年12月份),MEDLINE(1992-2014年12月份),EMBASE(1992-2014年12月份)、中国生物医学文献数据库(CBM,1992-2014年12月份)、中文期刊全文数据库(CNKI,1992-2014年12月份)。手工检索国内期刊已发表的论文和会议资料,收集所有相关随机对照试验,并评价纳入研究的方法学质量。统计软件使用Cochrane协作网提供的RevMan5.3结果：计算机检索到相关文献81篇,最终纳入24个随机对照试验(RCT),包括141047例患者。Meta分析结果：1、关于死亡率治疗组与对照组对比的死亡率无统计学意义,其中维生素D结合钙组与对照组分析结果：RR=1.24(95%CI=0.91-1.70,P=0.18);维生素D组与对照组分析结果：RR=1.05(95%CI=0.97-1.13,P=0.27);2、关于骨折发生率单纯维生素D组与对照组的发生率无明显优势：RR=0.97(95%CI=0.89-1.04,P=0.38);维生素D结合钙组与对照组的发生率有统计学差异：RR=0.90(95%CI=0.82-0.98,P=0.02);3、关于血清25羟基维生素D浓度治疗组的血清25羟基维生素D浓度明显比对照组提高。结论：单独补充维生素D和结合维生素D和钙与对照组对比的死亡率没有区别;血清25羟基维生素D浓度通过治疗虽然改善但还没达到骨健康状态;单独补充维生素D预防骨质疏松性骨折无明显优势;维生素D结合钙可降低骨质疏松性骨折的发生率。
