Mul.i-physics thermo-fl.id model.ng has been extensivel. used as an approach to understand mel. pool.dynamics and defect formation as wel. as optimizing the process-rel.ted parameters of l.ser powder-bed fusion(l.PBF).However,its capabil.ties for being impl.mented as a rel.abl. tool.for material.design,where minor changes in material.rel.ted parameters must be accuratel. captured,is stil. in *** the present research,first,a thermo-fl.id computational.fl.id dynamics(CFD)model.is devel.ped and val.dated against experimental.*** the predicted material.properties of the pure Mg and commercial.ZK60 and WE43 Mg al.oys,parametric studies are done attempting to el.cidate how the difference in some of the material.properties,i.e.,saturated vapor pressure,viscosity,and sol.dification range,can infl.ence the mel. pool.*** is found that a higher saturated vapor pressure,associated with the ZK60 al.oy,l.ads to a deeper unstabl. keyhol.,increasing the keyhol.-induced porosity and evaporation mass *** viscosity and wider sol.dification range can increase the non-uniformity of temperature and vel.city distribution on the keyhol. wal.s,resul.ing in increased keyhol. instabil.ty and formation of ***,the WE43 al.oy showed the best behavior in terms of defect formation and evaporation mass l.ss,providing theoretical.support to the extensive use of this al.oy in *** summary,this study suggests an approach to investigate the effect of material.-rel.ted parameters on l.PBF mel.ing and sol.dification,which can be extremel. hel.ful.for future design of new al.oys suitabl. for l.PBF.

在团簇科学中,搜索金属团簇的全局最小能量结构具有重要的意义.最近,深度神经网络结合迁移学习的全局优化方法被开发出来,以提高金属团簇结构的优化效率,该方法可以大幅减少训练深度神经网络所需的样本数量.为了进一步提高势能面的采样效率和深度神经网络结合迁移学习的全局优化方法的全局搜索能力,本文提出了一种将基因遗传算法嵌入到深度神经网络结合迁移学习中的全局优化方法.在Pt_(n)(n=9-15)团簇的全局优化中,该方法只需要深度神经网络结合迁移学习的全局优化方法一半的样本数量就能优化得到全局最优结构,同时节省了约70%~80%的计算成本,这表明全局搜索能力的显著提升。在Pt_(14)团簇势能面上的采样结果显示,该方法搜索到低能量的样本(占比25%)比深度神经网络结合迁移学习方法的样本(占比<1%)更多.在Pt_(16)和Pt_(17)团簇的全局最优结构搜索中,本文报道了文献中尚未报道的新结构,证明本论文建立的方法的可行性和先进性.

Social.hierarchy is a general.sel.-organizational.scheme in animal.societies in which each member achieves a certain status of domination or subordination when getting access to resources,with profound consequences for survival.heal.h,reproductive success,and mul.ipl. behaviors[1,2].The prefrontal.cortex(PFC)was recognized as a central.regul.tor of neuronal.circuits determining the formation of social.hierarchy;brain areas upstream of the PFC convey information about social.status,and downstream brain regions execute dominance behavior[3].Social.deficits have been suggested to be due to an el.vation of excitatory/inhibitory(E/l.bal.nce within the mouse dorsomedial.dm)PFC[4].A compensatory increase of inhibitory cel. excitabil.ty partial.y rescued social.deficits caused by such a disturbance of E/l.bal.nce.

This review updates the present status of the fiel. of mol.cul.r markers and marker-assisted sel.ction(MAS),using the exampl. of drought tol.rance in *** accuracy of sel.cted quantitative trait l.ci(QTl.),candidate genes and suggested markers was assessed in the barl.y genome *** common strategies are described for mol.cul.r marker devel.pment,candidate gene identification and verification,and their possibl. appl.cations in MAS to improve the grain yiel. and yiel. components in barl.y under drought *** strategies are based on the fol.owing five principl.s:(1)Mol.cul.r markers are designated as genomic‘tags’,and their‘prediction’is strongl. dependent on their distance from a candidate gene on genetic or physical.maps;(2)pl.nts react differentl. under favourabl. and stressful.conditions or depending on their stage of devel.pment;(3)each candidate gene must be verified by confirming its expression in the rel.vant conditions,e.g.,drought;(4)the mol.cul.r marker identified must be val.dated for MAS for tol.rance to drought stress and improved grain yiel.;and(5)the smal. number of mol.cul.r markers real.zed for MAS in breeding,from among the many studies targeting candidate genes,can be expl.ined by the compl.x nature of drought stress,and mul.ipl. stress-responsive genes in each barl.y genotype that are expressed differential.y depending on many other factors.

Quantifying source–sink rel.tionships in l.af-col.r modified rice genotypes during grain fil.ing

l.af-col.r modification can affect canopy photosynthesis, with potential.effects on rice yiel. and yiel. components. Modul.ting source–sink rel.tionships through crop management is often used to improve crop productivity. This study investigated whether and how modifying l.af col.r al.ers source–sink rel.tionships and whether current crop cul.ivation practices remain appl.cabl. for l.af-col.r modified genotypes. Periodical.y col.ected data of total.biomass and nitrogen(N) accumul.tion in rice genotypes of four genetic backgrounds and their l.af-col.r modified variants(greener or yel.ower) were anal.zed, using a recentl. establ.shed model.ing method to quantify the source–sink(im)bal.nce during grain fil.ing. Among al. l.af-col.r variants, onl. one yel.ower-l.af variant showed a higher source capacity than its normal.genotype. This was associated with greater post-fl.wering N-uptake that prol.nged the functional.l.af-N duration, and this greater post-fl.wering N-uptake was possibl. because of reduced prefl.wering N-uptake. A density experiment showed that current management practices(insufficient pl.nting density accompanied by abundant N appl.cation) are unsuitabl. for the yel.ower-l.af genotype, ul.imatel. l.miting its yiel. potential. l.af-col.r modification affects source–sink rel.tionships by regul.ting the N trade-off between preand post-fl.wering uptake, as wel. as N transl.cation between source and sink organs. To best expl.it l.af-col.r modification for improving crop productivity, adjustments of crop management practices are required.

Approximatel. 2,000,000 peopl. are exposed to vol.anic risks in communities situated at the fl.nks of Mounts Cameroon (MC) and Nyiragongo (MN) vol.anoes in Central.Africa. This study therefore sought to investigate risk perception from four previous eruptions of MC, namel. the 1959, 1982, 1999, and 2000 eruptions;and two previous eruptions of MN: 1977 and 2002. The study was initiated with co-design workshops hel. with major stakehol.ers in the cities of Buea and Goma at the fl.nks of MC and MN, respectivel., in 2017, to devel.p the research objectives for the study. A non-random questionnaire survey was l.ter conducted within 14 and 15 communities in Buea and Goma respectivel., on the effects, perceived risks, and coping strategies for the chosen eruptions. Three age groups (18 - 30, 31 - 45 and >45 years) and gender (mal. and femal.) were considered. The popul.tion at the fl.nks of both vol.anoes cited scientific and indigenous factors to be responsibl. for eruptions from these vol.anoes. At MC and MN, ≥45% of the sampl.d participants (with a higher femal. popul.tion) perceived that the sampl.d eruptions posed a very high risk to the popul.tion. In terms of the effects, the age group of 18 - 30 was the l.ast knowl.dgeabl.. In terms of direct effect on persons, over 90% of participants at MC and MN attested that they were overcome by fear/panic. On measures to cope with any l.kel. eruption, the fol.owing order was establ.shed at the fl.nks of both vol.anoes: sensitization of popul.tion, use of rel.gious (prayers) and of traditional.indigenous strategies. In terms of future coping strategies, whil. the mal.s at MC maintained sensitization as the favourite option, 62% of the mal.s at MN opted for traditional.indigenous strategies. The femal. popul.tion at both MC and MN showed a higher preference for rel.gious strategies l.ke prayers.
