The Effects of Nutritional Media and Initial Cell Density on the Growth and Development of Spirulina platensis

The main objective of the study was to determine the effects of nutritional media and initial cell density on the growth and development of Spirulina *** study was carried out at the Center for Incubation and Technology Transfer,Hue University from May 2015 to August *** the first experiment,*** was cultured in four different nutritional media,including Zarrouk,Spi-RIA3,Nisole and Thuoc medium(Vietnamese).Resulted showed that *** grew significantly in the Zarrouk medium rather than in other nutritional medium at the same time,and gained the maximum density of 2,736.5 mg/L after 13 d inoculums,with specific growth rate of 4.987%per day and the time to doubling population of 0.139 *** the second experiment,*** was cultured in six different initial cell densities:100,400,700,1,000,1,300 and 1,600 mg/L,and the optimum nutritional medium was Zarrouk medium selected from experiment *** showed at the initial culture density of 400 mg/L,the highest biomass was gained with the maximum density of 3,071.2 mg/L after 21 d inoculums,with specific growth rate of 9.15%per day and time to double population of 0.076 *** biomass from culture in Zarrouk medium at initial cell density 400 mg/L obtained total protein of 51.98%,total lipid of 1.75%,total carbohydrate of 0.75%,carotene of 0.36%and total minerals of 5.2%,on a basis of dry matter.

通过汉越对比的方法,本文将汉语"得"字结构与其在越南语的一些相对应的表达形式如:"den muc""làm(cho)"进行对比分析,并指出两者之间存在的异同。对比结果发现:汉语"得"字情态补语在越南语的对应表达可分为无标记与有标记如"den muc""làm(cho)"等两种。此外,通过访谈和问卷调查的方法,对越南二年级大学生习得汉语"得"字情态补语的偏误分析进行考察,并对其调查的结果进行分类。问卷调查的结果发现越南学生习得汉语"得"字情态补语时常犯遗漏、误加、误代、回避等四种偏误类型。本文在偏误分析的基础上提出一些教学上的建议以提高越南学生的汉语水平。

Rainfall data with an appropriate spatial resolution is a key input to hydrological ***,networks of rain gauges are often sparsely and unevenly distributed in large catchments,especially in developing ***-resolution rainfall datasets,such as the Asian Precipitation Highly Resolved Observational Data Integration Towards Evaluation of Water Resources(APHRODITE),the Climate Forecast System Reanalysis(CFSR),the Climatic Research Unit Time Series(CRUTS),the Global Precipitation Climatology Centre(GPCC)and the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM),have become available to overcome such *** objective of this study was to evaluate the impacts of four land-based rainfall products(APHRODITE,CFSR,CRU-TS,and GPCC)and a satellite-based rainfall product(TRMM)on streamflow of the upper catchment of Tri An reservoir in Vietnam using the Hydrological Modeling System(HEC-HMS).In addition,the available rain gauges data were used for comparison *** indicates that the TRMM and GPCC data show their best match to rain gauges data in simulating the streamflow in the period 1999–***,the results indicate that the TRMM and GPCC data could be alternative solutions.

Acetabular Defects of Hip Tuberculosis: Recommended Classification and Reconstruction in Hip Arthroplasty

Background: this study aimed to propose a classification of acetabular defects in advanced-stage hip tuberculosis based on preoperative radiographs and intraoperative evaluation, thereby providing options for reconstructing each type of defect in hip arthroplasty. Materials and Methods: We conducted a prospective study with 45 patients with active hip tuberculosis at stage IV who were treated with a total hip replacement strategy. We collected the patients’ acetabular defect data from preoperative radiographs and intraoperative observations. The defects were classified into types based on defect severity and reconstructive complexity. The hip replacement outcomes were evaluated at least 12 months after the operation. Results: The classification system includes three types: type I: localized or extensive defects inside the acetabulum, not affecting the acetabular rim, medial wall, or columns. Type II: extensive defects inside the acetabulum, affecting the acetabular rim or (and) medial wall. Type III: extensive defects inside the acetabulum, causing the medial wall and the acetabular column to lose function. Each type has a corresponding reconstruction. The outcome includes that 41/45 patients had excellent results;3/45 patients had good results. The patients had good results due to nerve and muscle damage caused by tuberculosis not related to the acetabular defects. Conclusion: this is a simple, practical classification system of acetabular defects in hip tuberculosis. The outcome of hip reconstruction using this classification was excellent without any cases of dislocation or protrusion.

Velocity Profiles between Two Baffles in a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger

Heat exchangers are extensively utilized for waste heat recovery,oil refining,chemical processing,and steam *** this study,velocity profiles are measured using a 3D particle image velocimetry(PIV)system between two baffles in a shell and tube heat exchanger for parallel and counter *** PIV and computational fluid dynamics results show the occurrence of some strong vectors near the *** vectors are assumed due to the clearance between the inner tubes and the front ***,the major parts of the vectors are moved out through the bottom opening of the rear baffle,and other vectors produce a large circle between the two *** simulations are conducted to investigate the effects of the baffle on the heat exchanger using the Fluent *** k-εturbulence model is employed to calculate the flows along the heat exchanger.

Flotation performance of a de-slimed（-150＋53μm）Jordanian siliceous phosphate was evaluated in a batch laboratory flotation column 100 cm high and 5 cm inside *** collector used during anionic flotation was sodium oleate while an amine acetate（AEROMINE 3100C）was used for cationic *** comparison at different collector dosage,superficial gas velocity,and frother concentration showed that the maximum difference in performance between cationic and anionic flotation was obtained with these flotation parameters：30×10^（-6）（mg/L）frother concentration,250 g/t collector concentration,and 3.4 cm/s superficial gas *** these operating conditions amine （cationic）flotation gave 7%higher flotation recovery,a 6%cleaner concentrate grade,and was 6%more efficient at removing silica.

Hip Tuberculosis at Stage IV: Outcomes and Some Conditions for Total Hip Replacement

Background: Treatment of hip disorders during active hip tuberculosis has long been a controversial issue. Some authors have reported performing hip replacement with different strategies with very good outcomes. this study aimed to describe the surgical outcomes and necessary conditions for total hip replacement in active hip tuberculosis. Methods: We conducted a quasi-experimental study. The study enrolled 40 patients with 42 active tuberculosis hips at stage IV treated by total hip replacement from October 2016 to December 2019 at the National Lung Hospital. We followed up with the patients for at least 12 months, evaluated surgical outcomes, and investigated the factors associated with these outcomes by logistic regression analysis. Results: Surgical outcomes showed that 37 patients (88.1%) had excellent hip function, no abscesses, and no sinus tract formation. Four cases (9.5%) had sinus tract formations. One case (2.4%) had good hip function. Binary logistic regression models revealed that sinus tract formation was associated with preoperative tuberculosis infection syndrome. The average time to obtain antituberculosis drug treatment preoperatively was 4.6 weeks. Conclusion: Total hip replacement for active hip tuberculosis is a practical and promising treatment method. Surgeons should consider improving patients’ conditions before performing total hip replacement, administering antitubercular drugs, and arthrotomy to eliminate all abscesses, and decrease the risk of tuberculosis infection syndrome and the inflammatory response.

Velocity Profiles between Two Baffles in a Horizontal Circular Tube

The shell and tube heat exchanger is an essential part of a power plant for recovering heat transfer between the feed water of a boiler and the wasted *** baffles are also an important element inside the heat *** materials influence the flow pattern in the *** influence of baffles in the velocity profiles was observed using a three-dimensional particle image velocimetry around baffles in a horizontal circular *** velocity of the particles was measured before the baffle and between them in the test *** show that the flows near the front baffle flow were parallel to the vertical wall,and then concentrate on the upper opening of the front *** flows circulate in the front and rear *** flow profiles are related to the Reynolds number(Re) or the flow *** velocity profiles at lower Re number showed a complicated mixing,concentrating on the lower opening of the rear baffle as front *** flow was employed in this study,which was produced using tangential velocities at the *** the entrance of the front baffle,the velocity vector profiles with swirl were much different from that without ***,velocities between two baffles are not much different from those without swirl.
