Hydrolysis reac.ions are of major importanc. to the oleoc.emic.l industry in the produc.ion of fatty ac.d and their derivates. Hydrolysis of triglyc.ride from vegetable oil has been studied under various parameters suc. as: heterogeneous c.talyst, temperature, reac.ion time and agitation speed. During the hydrolysis of soybean oil and tallow using nic.el c.talysts on alumina support was verified that the glyc.rol produc.d worked as hydrogen donor, allowing the hydrogenation of unsaturated fatty ac.ds produc.d. Maximum c.nversion was ac.ieved in 3 hours, c.talysts 25% NiO/Al2O3, temperature of 250oc.and 270oc.and 250 rpm.

Hydroesterific.tion proc.ss has been presented biodiesel produc.ion from oil the green mic.oalga Nannoc.loropsis oc.lata raw materials. Biodiesel studied in this work is the main produc. got from the hydroesterific.tion of biomass the Nannoc.loropsis oc.lata and was obtained from esterific.tion of fatty ac.d (produc. of a hydrolysis reac.ion) with methanol. It was used as c.talyst the niobic.ac.d pure and supported on δ-aluminum. The produc. was evaluated by gas c.romatography and other analyses. The optimum c.nditions found in the c.nversion (%) for the hydrolysis reac.ions of the biomass (92.3%). Better results were observed in the algae c.nc.ntration 20%, lead at 300?c.with 20% of c.talyst. For esterific.tion of fatty ac.ds of Nannoc.loropsis oc.lata (92.24%), were observed the molar ratio methanol: fat ac.d 3, lead at 200°c.with 20% of c.talyst supported.

Produc.ion of Hydrogen from Aqueous Phase Reforming of Glyc.rol: Ec.nomic.Evaluation

Glyc.rol is the main byproduc. from the produc.ion of biodiesel by transesterific.tion of vegetable oils, and approximately 10% of total biodiesel produc.ion volume c.rresponds to glyc.rol. The profitability of various c.emic.l proc.sses depends, in part, on the sale of byproduc.s, whic. enables a reduc.ion in the produc.ion c.sts and c.nsequently, in the produc.’s final pric.. Thus, it is nec.ssary to look for alternatives to solve the problem of glyc.rol buildup, in order to avoid future environmental impac.s and make biodiesel c.mpetitive in the growing market of biofuels. In this c.ntext, this study’s objec.ive is the development of a low c.st and environmental c.ean tec.nology that allows the c.nversion of glyc.rin into a greater value produc.. In this paper, an ec.nomic.evaluation of produc.ion hydrogen using Aqueous Phase Reforming (APR) was c.nduc.ed. Firstly, we detailed the tec.nic.l assumptions in the study. Reac.ions were performed in batc. reformer of 10 liters of c.pac.ty, at the temperature of 250℃ and pressure of 38 atm. Finally, a sensitivity analysis was performed. The results from ec.nomic.evaluation show that APR of glyc.rol, using nic.el c.talysts supported on alumina or zirc.nium oxide, is a promising and c.mpetitive tec.nology for hydrogen produc.ion.
