This paper deals with the problem of optimal geometry design of parallel manipulators. In order to reduce the main drawbacks of parallel manipulators, relatively small workspace and more singularities,two constraints, workspace and condition number, are considered. The design problem is thus formulated as to And a parallel mechanism such that its Cartesian workspace contains a prescribed workspace with good condition numbers in it. By observing that those requirements can be locally cast into Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs), we formulate the design problem locally as a convex optimization problem subject to LMIs with either a linear function or a max-det function as its objective function. At each point of discretized space of design parameters, there is an LMI-based convex optimization problem. A two-level algorithm can be applied to solve for a set of optimal kinematic parameters;(1) Discretize the space of design parameters into a set of discrete nodes;(2) At each node the newton algorithm is applied to solve the LMI-based optimization problem. By comparing all the locally optimal costs,we can obtain a set of globally optimal design parameters correspondingly. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

＜正＞In this paper the physics models and mathematics models of molecular dynamics simulation in ultra high speed grinding are built up. The models are consisted of the boundary atom, newton’s atom and the constant temperature atom. The interaction between the grinding grain particles and workpiece particles is computed by the Tersoff empirical potential function. The equation of motion is built up. It is solved by numerical value and the speed and displacement of these particles are obtained. Finally the motion track of them in the different depth of cutting is simulated. According to the variety regulation of surface and the variety circumstance of the removal particles, the reasonable explanation about the mechanism for chip removal of ultra high speed grinding is given.

A multichannel calorimeter system is designed and constructed which is capable of delivering single-shot and broadband spectral measurement of terahertz(THz) radiation generated in intense laser–plasma interactions. The generation mechanism of backward THz radiation(BTr) is studied by using the multichannel calorimeter system in an intense picosecond laser–solid interaction experiment. The dependence of the BTr energy and spectrum on laser energy, target thickness and pre-plasma scale length is obtained. These results indicate that coherent transition radiation is responsible for the low-frequency component(r. It is also observed that a large-scale pre-plasma primarily enhances the high-frequency component(>3 THz) of BTr.
