Despite a significant increase in utilization over the past decade,the number of donation after c.r.ulatory death(DcD)organs that are proc.r.d and transplanted in the United States(US)remains well below its *** is still room for expansion,as utilizing DcD organs to the fullest extent is c.r.ently the most viable solution to the persistent mismatch between supply and demand in *** convened a multidisciplinary transplantation summit to examine various aspects of DcD,with faculty members from around the world with clinical and academic interest in DcD donation and transplantation,including abdominal and c.r.iothoracic surgeons,organ proc.r.ment organization directors,hepatologists,and *** conference focused on identifying barriers to DcD organ utilization and strategies to overcome these *** divide the barriers to DcD utilization into three mains categories:(Ⅰ)policy and process variation;(II)logistical and transportation challenges;and(Ⅲ)higher risk perceptions related to DcD *** each barrier,we proposed a variety of solutions,providing an overview of the status of DcD donation in the US and suggestions on how to increase the use of *** is a specific focus on ex situ machine perfusion,normothermic.r.gional perfusion,and other opportunities to expand DcD utilization without negatively impacting recipient outcomes.

Southern India and Sri-Lanka are the places where “incipient charnockites”,*** local transformation of amphibolite-facies gneisses into orthopyroxene-bearing,igneous looking charnockites,have been discovered in the early *** fact that some incipient charnockites occ.r.along a network of brittle fractures,together with cO2 remnants preserved in mineral inclusions,had called for the role of fluids during charnockite *** present work presents new observations on fluid inclusions and microtextures of incipient charnockites from type localities in southern *** addition to cO2-rich fluid inclusions in quartz and feldspar,all of the occ.r.ences have disrupted remnants of concentrated aqueous alkali chloride ***2 inclusions are more abundant in paragneiss (Kerala) than in orthogneiss (Karnataka/Tamil Nadu).The finding of disrupted brine inclusions in the Kabbal charnockite is a key link between closely associated massive charnockites and closepet Granite,both of which also share the brine *** of the occ.r.ences studied here have feldspar or feldspar-quartz microvein networks along grain boundaries of recrystallized quartz,feldspar and *** metasomatic veins again indicate the action of alkali-exchanging fluids (i.e.,saline solutions).Feldspar microveins,which have been found in most “massive” charnockites,along with the cO2-rich fluid inclusions,suggest a commonality of incipient charnockite and massive charnockite,both types differing in intensity of interaction with metasomatizing pore fluids.

In Asia, the rice crop sustains millions of people. However, growing demand for this crop needs to be met while simultaneously reducing its water consumption to cope with the effects of climate change. Lowland cropping systems are the most common and productive but have particularly high water requirements. High-yielding rice genotypes adapted to drier environments(such as rainfed or aerobic.r.ce ecosystems) are needed to increase the water use efficiency of cropping. Identifying these genotypes requires fast and more acc.r.te selection methods. It is hypothesized that applying a new quantitative selection method(the sc.r. index selection method), can usefully compare rice yield responses over different years and stress intensities to select genotypes more rapidly and efficiently. Applying the sc.r. index to previously published rice yield data for 39 genotypes grown in no-stress and two stress environments, identified three genotypes(ArB 8, Ir55419-04 and ArB 7) with higher and stable yield under moderate to severe stress conditions. These genotypes are postulated to be better adapted to stress environment such as upland and aerobic environments. Importantly, the sc.r. index selection method offers improved precision than the conventional breeding selection method in identifying genotypes that are well-suited to a range of stress levels within the target environment.

The coorong estuary lies at the terminus of Australia's largest river system, the Murray-Darling; both are strongly influenced by human activities; including farming and extensive flow modification. Metagenomic approaches were used to determine the planktonic bacterial community composition and potential metabolic function at two extremes in the coorong, the river mouth which exhibits marine-like salinity, and the hypersaline upper-reaches of the estuary. Significant shifts in taxa and metabolic function were seen between the two sites. The river mouth exhibited an increase in abundance of r hodobacteriaceae and Alteromonadaceae; families readily able to adapt to change in nutrient conditions; and the potentially pathogenic families B rucellaceae, Enterobacteriaceae and Vibrionaceae. Metabolisms over-represented include motility and chemotaxis, rNA metabolism and membrane transport, all of which are involved in actively searching for and obtaining nutrients. Also over-represented were metabolisms involved in population succession and stress response. An over-representation of taxa and metabolisms indicative of environmental change is reflective of anthropogenically af fected riverine input. In the hypersaline upper reaches of the estuary, the halophilic family Ectothiorhodospiraceae was over-represented, as were the families Flavobacteriaceae, cytophagaceae and Noc.r.ioidaceae, members of which are able to survive over a wide salinity range. Metabolisms over-represented here were reflective of increased bacterial growth, characteristic of hypersaline environments, and included DNA metabolism, nucleotide and nucleoside synthesis and cell cycle. coorong metagenomes clustered taxonomically and metabolically with other planktonic metagenomes, but remained an outlier of this group with only 71% and 84% similarity, respectively. 【目的】水是人类赖以生存和发展的关键要素。以水为核心的蓝色空间一直以来不断塑造着城市,提供了多样化的生态系统服务。越来越多的证据表明接触感知蓝色空间能够为城市居民带来显著的健康效益。因此,在响应健康城市建设及可持续发展目标的背景下,有必要探讨将接触感知蓝色空间产生的健康效益纳入空间设计实践的可能性。【方法】基于对核心文献的检索和筛选,系统梳理接触感知蓝色空间以促进人类健康的主要路径,提出将健康证据转译为设计实践的方法论框架。【结果】基于3种蓝色空间接触感知类型,归纳出4条联系蓝色空间接触感知和公共健康的主要路径:1)促进体力活动;2)降低有害暴露;3)提供心理效益;4)鼓励社会交往。提出了一个将健康证据转译为设计知识的四步方法论框架并结合已有证据和案例进行说明:1)收集主要健康证据;2)提炼关键设计概念;3)划分核心设计要素;4)转译设计原则、空间模式、评估方法。【结论】根据“分析—综合—评估”设计范式,探讨了从健康证据转化出的设计知识在设计迭代中的应用潜力,反思了方法论框架的双向互动优势,指出实践能够作为启发设计知识和提供健康证据的工具。

We present a new class of solutions to the Einstein field equations for an anisotropic matter distribution in which the interior space-time obeys the Karmarkar condition. The necessary and sufficient condition required for a spherically symmetric space-time to be of class One reduces the gravitational behavior of the model to a single metric function. By assuming a physically viable form for the grr metric potential we obtain an exact solution of the Einstein field equations which is free from any singularities and satisfies all the physical criteria. We use this solution to predict the masses and radii of well-known compact objects such as cen X-3, PSr J0348＋0432, PSr B0943＋10and XTE J1739-285.

We studied the process of offspring production in queenless colonies of Acromyrmex subterraneus brunneus, and particularly evaluated the ovary development of workers as a function of their age. For this, subcolonies were set up and evaluated at different periods of isolation from the queen （2, 4 and 6 months）, besides individually labeled age groups. The subcolonies were assessed acc.r.ing to offspring production and ovaries containing oocytes or not. The evaluations showed worker oviposition and development of males originating from worker-laid eggs. At 2 months＇ absence of the queen, eggs and larvae were found, with eggs in a higher proportion than larvae. After 4 months, the proportion of eggs had reduced while larvae had increased, and a pupa was found in one subcolony. At 6 months, besides a higher share of larvae, one pupa and one adult male were found. Dissection of workers revealed ovaries containing oocytes during the periods of evaluation. Only a group of medium-sized and large workers, 23.3%, 20.9% and 37.5% of the population from each period assessed in queenless subcolonies respectively, presented developed oocytes in the ovary. The same was observed in colonies with a queen, with 17.6%, 19.6% and 7.8% of the group of dissected workers from each time period, respectively. With respect to worker age, we observed by dissection of the ovary, that the greatest percentage of individuals with ovarioles containing oocytes occ.r.ed at 45 days （6 weeks） up to 90 days （12 weeks）. These results probably are associated with the workers reproduction and the laying of trophic and reproductive eggs in colonies with and without a queen; these eggs have distinct functions in each situation.

Solving field equations exactly in f(r,T)−gravity is a challenging *** do so,many authors have adopted different methods such as assuming both the metric functions and an equation of state(EoS)and a metric ***,such methods may not always lead to well-behaved solutions,and the solutions may even be rejected after complete ***,very recent studies on embedding class-one methods suggest that the chances of arriving at a well-behaved solution are very high,which is *** the class-one approach,one of the metric potentials is estimated and the other can be obtained using the Karmarkar *** this study,a new class-one solution is proposed that is well-behaved from all physical points of *** nature of the solution is analyzed by tuning the f(r,T)−coupling parameterχ,and it is found that the solution leads to a stiffer EoS forχ=−1 than that forχ=*** is because for small values ofχ,the velocity of sound is higher,leading to higher values of Mmax in the M−r c.r.e and the EoS parameterω.The solution satisfies the causality condition and energy conditions and remains stable and static under radial perturbations(static stability criterion)and in equilibrium(modified TOV equation).The resulting M−r diagram is well-fitted with observed values from a few compact stars such as PSr J1614-2230,Vela X-1,cen X-3,and SAX ***,for different values ofχ,the c.r.esponding radii and their respective moments of inertia have been predicted from the M−I c.r.e.
