The genetic landscape of cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)remains largely *** is one of the deadliest cancers(1),with the gold standard treatment for all anatomical forms(intrahepatic-iCCA,perihilar-pCCA and distal-dCCA)being surgical resection(with adjuvant capecitabine also recommended in the newest guidelines)(2,3).The importance of genetic markers in terms of postoperative and oncological outcomes is being increasingly recognized,but few actionable mutations have been identified so far(2,4).This is particularly pertinent for patients with advanced/irresectable disease,who rely on systemic *** outcomes are poor in these patients[5-year survival up to 10%-(5)]and they would profit the most from novel,targeted therapies.

Background For endovascular rescue therapy(ERT)of cerebral vasospasm(CVS)due to spontaneous subarachnoid haemorrhage(sSAH),non-compliant(NCB)and compliant(CB)balloons are used with both balloon types bearing the risk of vessel injury due to specific mechanical *** severe delayed arterial narrowing after transluminal balloon angioplasty(TBA)for CVS has sporadically been described,valid data concerning incidence and relevance are *** aim was to analyse the radiological follow-up(RFU)of differently TBA-treated arteries(CB or NCB).methods Twelve patients with utilisation of either NCB or CB for CVS were retrospectively analysed for clinical characteristics,ERT,functional outcome after 3 months and *** with the initial angiogram,we classified delayed arterial narrowing as mild,moderate and severe(60% calibre reduction).Results Twenty-three arteries were treated with CB,seven with *** median first RFU was 11 months after TBA with CB and 10 after *** was performed with catheter angiography in 18 arteries(78%)treated with CB and in five(71%)after NCB;magnetic resonance angiography was acquired in five vessels(22%)treated with CB and in two(29%)after *** arterial narrowing was detected in three arteries(13%)after CB and in one(14%)after *** or severe findings were neither detected after use of CB nor *** We found no relevant delayed arterial narrowing after TBA for CVS after *** previous assumptions that CB provides for more dilatation in segments adjacent to CVS,we observed no disadvantages concerning long-term adverse *** data support TBA as a low-risk treatment option.

There is overwhelming evidence that hypertension is an important risk factor for both macrovascular and microvascular complications in patients with diabetes,but the problem remains to identify appropriate goals for preventive therapies.A number of guidelines (the European Society of Cardiology (ESC)/European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) 2007,the Joint National Committee (JNC)-Ⅶ 2003,the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2011) have for example advocated a blood pressure goal of less than 130/80 mmHg,but this suggestion has been challenged by findings in recent trials and meta-analyses (2011).The European Society of Hypertension (ESH) therefore recommends a systolic blood pressure goal of "well below" 140 *** on evidence from both randomized controlled trials (hypertension optimal treatment (HOT),action in diabetes and vascular disease:preterax and diamicron mR controlled evaluation (ADVANCE),action to control cardiovascular risk in diabetes (ACCORD)) and observational studies (ongoing telmisartan alone and in combination with ramipril global endpoint trial (ONTARGET),international verapamil-trandolapril study (INVEST),treat to new targets (TNT),and the National Diabetes Register (NDR)),it has been shown that the benefit for stroke reduction remains even at lower achieved blood pressure levels,but the risk of coronary events may be uninfluenced or even increased at lower systolic blood pressure *** a recent meta-analysis,it was therefore concluded that the new recommended goal should be 130-135 mmHg systolic blood pressure for most patients with type 2 *** risk factors should also be controlled with a more ambitious strategy applied in the younger patients with shorter diabetes duration,but a more cautious approach in the elderly and frail patients with a number of vascular or non-vascular *** patients from East Asia,such as China,the stroke risk is relatively higher than the risk of coronary *** must al

Quantum corrections for Boltzmann equation

We present the lowest order quantum correction to the semiclassical Boltzmann distribution function,and the equation satisfied by this correction is given. Our equation for the quantum correction is obtained from the conventional quantum Boltzmann equation by explicitly expressing the Planck constant in the gradient approximation,and the quantum Wigner distribution function is expanded in pow-ers of Planck constant,too. The negative quantum correlation in the Wigner dis-tribution function which is just the quantum correction terms is naturally singled out,thus obviating the need for the Husimi’s coarse grain averaging that is usually done to remove the negative quantum part of the Wigner distribution function. We also discuss the classical limit of quantum thermodynamic entropy in the above framework.
