Th.s is a.socia.ed with.th. ch.ra.teristics of microstructure, biocompa.ibility, bioa.tivity a.d bone conductivity properties wh.ch.th.se ma.eria.s offer wh.n a.plied in vivo or in a.simula.ion environment. Th.s study a.med to a.sess th. beh.vior of bone neoforma.ion of th.ee types of ca.cium ph.sph.te bioma.eria.s in in vivo tests with.sh.ep with.n 60 a.d 90 da.s, with.th. h.lp of a.sca.ning electron microscope. Th. bioma.eria.s used were provided by th. Group of Bioma.eria.s a. th. Sa.ta.Ca.a.ina.Sta.e University. Th. in vivo tests were ca.ried out by genera.ing, on sh.ep, tibia. bone defects, th.ee of wh.ch.were filled with.bioma.eria. (one different bioma.eria. for ea.h.bone defect genera.ed), wh.lst th. fourth.received a.bone fra.ment obta.ned during th. genera.ion of th. defect in question, to serve a. a.control group. Th. sca.ning electron microscopy (SEM) tech.ique wa. used for ca.rying out th. prelimina.y ch.ra.teriza.ion studies so a. to observe new bone forma.ion a.d osseointegra.ion. Th. X-ra. diffra.tometry (XRD) served a. a.support for th. ch.ra.teriza.ion of crysta.line ph.ses.
