Communication Scheduling with Diversity for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Using Local 5G

The use of unmanned aircraft systems(UAS)for critical public service missions by public organizations,local governments,and social users is *** radio transmission by unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)is indispensable in these *** of the standards suitable for UAV wireless communications is local ***,to introduce local 5G into a UAS,several problems specific to UASes must be *** include the deterioration of the signal-to-noise ratio due to topography and obstacles,the uncertainty of the communication environment due to the movement of multiple UAVs,and the limitation of the frequency *** address these problems and to introduce local 5G into the UAS,we propose a novel communication scheduling *** method incorporates transmission modes with *** evaluations shows that total data volumes increase by 1.9~3 times with the proposed scheduling method compared with transmission without diversity or efficient scheduling.

Communications is one of the most critical factors in disaster recovery process. However, after a major disaster, existing communications infrastructures may be heavily damaged or even completely unusable. It is necessary that communicationsare to be promptly restored to the disaster area, which is the goal of our national project. The project aims to build three tiers wireless mesh network from remaining wireless access points in order to provide communications services to the disaster area. This work introduces a unique multiple tiers wireless mesh network project. In addition, this work also illustrates merits in optimizing the number of mesh routersin order to achieve the optimum performance by presenting both theoretical and simulation results of a specific scenario of multiple tiers wireless mesh network.

Currently,Mobile Ad Hoc Network （MANET） has drawn great attention for being part of the ubiquitous *** the conventional network,MANETs have many unique features such as node resource *** is why several efficient routing protocols have been proposed specifically for *** these protocols,Optimized Link State Routing （OLSR） is one of the four important routing protocol identified by *** current OLSR protocol assumes that all nodes are ***,in hostile environment,the OLSR is known to be vulnerable to various kinds of malicious *** this paper,we propose a new Security Aware Optimized Link State Routing （SA-OLSR） which is a secured version of current *** approach is based on exchanging acknowledgement between 2-hop neighbors when the control traffic is successfully *** main advantage of our approach is that it can protect against many sophisticated attacks such as link spoofing,colluding misrelay attack,and wormhole attack without requiring any location information as well as the knowledge of complete network *** simulation results show that the proposed solution can achieve higher packet delivery ratio compared to the network using the standard OLSR in the presence of malicious nodes.
