Wounds, characterized by the disruption of the continuity of body tissues resulting from external trauma,manifest in diverse types and locations. Although numerous wound dressings are available for various woundscenarios, it remains challenging to find an integrative wound dressing capable of addressing diverse woundsituations. We focused on utilizing sulfated hyaluronan (sHA), known for its anti-inflammatory properties andcapacity to load cationic drugs. By conjugating catechol groups to sHA (sHA-CA), we achieved several advantagesin wound healing: 1) Fabrication of patches through crosslinking with catechol-modified high-molecularweighthyaluronan (HA(HMW)-CA), 2) Adhesiveness that enabled stable localization, 3) Radical scavenging thatcould synergize with the immunomodulation of sHA. The sHA-CA patches demonstrated therapeutic efficacy inthree distinct murine wound models: diabetic wound, hepatic hemorrhage, and post-surgical adhesion. Collectively,these findings underscore the potential of the sHA-CA patch as a promising candidate for the nextgenerationwound dressing.

Combined U-Pb sHRIMP and Hf isotope study of the Late Paleozoic Yaminue Complex,Rio Negro Province,Argentina:Implications for the origin and evolution of the Patagonia composite terrane

We have carried out zircon U-Pb sHRIMP dating and Hf isotope determinations on a biotite paraschist and on a tonalitic orthogneiss of the Yaminué Complex, and re-evaluate this complex in the broader context of the tectonic evolution of the Patagonia composite terrane. In the metasedimentary unit （msuYC）, the youngest detrital zircon dated at 318 ± 5 Ma （Mississippian/Pennsylvanian boundary） indicates a Pennsylvanian （or younger） depositional age. The three main age populations peak at 474, 454 and 374 Ma. Preliminary Hf isotope data for two detrital zircons （447 and 655 Ma） yielded ε（Hf） values of -0.32 and 0.48, indicating that their primary sources contained small amounts of recycled crustal components （of Calymmian age; TDM 1.56 Ga）. Zircons from the orthogneiss （miuYC; intrusive into msuYC） show a crystallization age of 261.3 - 2.7 Ma （Capitanian; late middle Permian） which is broadly coeval with deformation, and Neoarchean-Paleoproterozoic inheritance. Meaningful core-rim relationship between Neoarchean zircon cores and late Permian rims is well defined, indicating the occurrence of Archean crust in this sector of Patagonia. Hf TDM of Permian zircons is mainly Meso-Paleoarchean （2.97-3.35 Ga）, with highly negative e（Hf） values （ca, -33）. Hf TDM of inherited Neoarchean zircon cores is also Meso-Paleoarchean （3.14-3.45 Ga） but more juvenile （ε（Hf） = -0.3）. Hf isotopes reinforce the presence of unexposed ancient crust in this area. Combining geological and isotope data, as well as geophysical models, we identify the Yaminué Complex within the La Esperanza-Yaminué crustal block flanked by two other, distinct crustal blocks： the Eastern block which forms part of the Patagonia terrane sensu stricto, located in the eastern Patagonian region, and the Western block forming part of the southern Patagonia terrane. Their origins and timing of amalgamation to form the Patagonia composite terrane are also discussed.

本文运用多种地质统计学方法分析了岩石节理的空间变化性,并建立了节理方位、密度和长度参数的完整模型、通过对这些典型参数空间变化性的量测以及对交差图的分析,按无偏最小估计方差(即克立格方差)估计的克立格方法建立模型.运用普通克立格法建立局部块段节理的确定性模型以服务于某露天矿的论证,而且采用这种确定性模型能够进行边坡稳定性、块度和水力渗流系统等各种岩土工程分析.用克立格估计值和实际量测值之间的对比来检验岩体节理模型,其结果是肯定的.同时还发现节理参数的局部统计特征与其整体统计特征明显不同.由于岩体节理在任何岩土工程分析中都起重要作用,故任何岩土工程分析都必须进行局部模型分析.

Well-tailored nanomaterials with a single-crystal character provide ideal building blocks for on-chip plasmonic *** colloidal methods have demonstrated mastery over the synthesis of such structures,it has proven quite difficult to deploy these same nanomaterials on substrate surfaces in a highly deterministic manner where precise control over position and orientation is ***,we demonstrate a room-temperature two-reagent liquid-phase seed-mediated synthesis of gold nanoplates directly on substrate surfaces in arrays over a square-centimeter *** synthesis is reliant on benchtop lithographic and directed-assembly processes that give rise to single-crystal seeds of gold that express both an epitaxial relationship with the underlying substrate and the internal defect structure required to promote a two-dimensional growth *** resulting structures are highly faceted and,because seed-substrate epitaxy is imposed upon the growing nanoplates,are identically aligned on the substrate *** yields are increased to values as high as 95%using a post-processing sonication procedure that selectively removes a small population of irregularly shaped nanostructures from the substrate surface,and in doing so,gives rise to an uncompromised plasmonic *** work,therefore,advances the techniques needed to integrate single-crystal nanomaterials with wafer-based technologies and provides leading-edge capabilities in terms of defining large-area arrays of plasmonic structures with the nanoplate geometry.

Effect of partial elastic foundation on free vibration of fluid-filled functionally graded cylindrical shells

The free vibration characteristics of fluid-filled functionally graded cylindrical shells buried partially in elas- tic foundations are investigated by an analytical method. The elastic foundation of partial axial and angular dimen- sions is represented by the Pasternak model. The motion of the shells is represented by the first-order shear defor- mation theory to account for rotary inertia and transverse shear strains. The functionally graded cylindrical shells are composed of stainless steel and silicon nitride. Material prop- erties vary continuously through the thickness according to a power law distribution in terms of the volume fraction of the constituents. The governing equation is obtained using the Rayleigh-Ritz method and a variation approach. The fluid is described by the classical potential flow theory. Numerical examples are presented and compared with existing available results to validate the present method.

Facial Expression Recognition of Various Internal states via Manifold Learning

Emotions are becoming increasingly important in human-centered interaction architectures. Recognition of facial expressions, which are central to human-computer interactions, seems natural and desirable. However, facial expressions include mixed emotions, continuous rather than discrete, which vary from moment to moment. This paper represents a novel method of recognizing facial expressions of various internal states via manifold learning, to achieve the aim of humancentered interaction studies. A critical review of widely used emotion models is described, then, facial expression features of various internal states via the locally linear embedding （LLE） are extracted. The recognition of facial expressions is created with the pleasure-displeasure and arousal-sleep dimensions in a two-dimensional model of emotion. The recognition result of various internal state expressions that mapped to the embedding space via the LLE algorithm can effectively represent the structural nature of the two-dimensional model of emotion. Therefore our research has established that the relationship between facial expressions of various internal states can be elaborated in the two-dimensional model of emotion, via the locally linear embedding algorithm.

Characteristics analysis and library development for piezoelectric transformer to drive a ballast for a 35 W class fluorescent lamp using PsPICE modeling

PsPICE model driven by an electric equivalent circuit of a piezoelectric circuit is presented. In order to confirm this model to be effective, an independent model of cold cathode fluorescent lamp(CCFL) driving circuit is used to conduct simulations, leading to a precise modeling. A library is configured through modeling and its accuracy is verified through simulations for widely used and representative lamps such as CCFL, fluorescent lamps, HID lamps, and electrodeless fluorescent lamps. On the basis of experiments, a lamp simulation is also performed using PsPICE, which allows us to take advantage of the lamp library easily. Also, PsPICE model driven by an electric equivalent circuit of a piezoelectric transformer is presented. In order to confirm this model to be effective, an independent model of CCFL driving circuit is used to conduct simulations, leading to a precise modeling. In addition, a new type of electronic ballast is proposed, which allows 35 W-class(T5-class) fluorescent lamp to work. This system is built by a rectifier which has improved power factor and half-bridge series resonant inverter. Also, with size of 27.5 mm high, 27.5 mm wide and 2.5 mm thick, the produced piezoelectric transformer has a high step-up ratio, through which it is possible for the electric ballast circuit to be lighter, smaller and more efficient. After the produced ballast is used to drive the fluorescent lamp for 25 min, it yields 0.95 in power factor correction, 86% in efficiency, 35.07 W in output voltage and 20.5 °C in temperature increase while meeting the characteristics of the 35 W-class fluorescent lamp.
