Objective:To compare the surgical outcomes,improvement in renal function and complications between early stent removal(2 weeks)and late stent removal(4 weeks)after pediatric open ***:A total of 72 open pyeloplasty were included in the ***-three underwent late stent removal(Group 1)and 29 underwent early stent removal(Group 2).Pre-operative and post-operative follow-up data were compared to see the effect of early stent removal on the postoperative drainage pattern at 6 months after surgery and improvement in split function of affected *** complications between the two groups were also ***:Both the groups were matched with respect to age,sex,side and antero-posterior diameter of ***-operative mean split function in Group 1 was 42%(26%e54%)while it was 39%(19%e42%)in Group 2(pZ0.37).Postoperative improvement in drainage pattern was seen in 69 out of 72(96%)patients,41 out of 43(95%)in Group 1 and 28 out of 29(97%)in Group *** in split function occurred in 35 of 38(97%)in Group 1 and 23 of 26(88%)patients in Group 2(pZ0.51).Complications were seen in nine out of 72(12.5%)*** of complication in Group 1 was 16%(7/43)and Group 2 was 7%(2/29),and relative risk was ***:A shorter duration of double J stenting is as effective as a longer stenting period in terms of surgical success outcomes and improvement in split renal function along with a decreased risk of stent related complications.

The probability of medical staff to get affected from COVID19 is much higher due to their working environment which is more exposed to infectious ***,as a preventive measure the body temperature monitoring of medical staff at regular intervals is highly *** temperature sensing guns have proved its effectiveness and therefore such devices are used to monitor the body *** devices are either used on hands or *** a result,there are many issues in monitoring the temperature of frontline healthcare ***,these healthcare professionals keep wearing PPE(Personal Protective Equipment)kits during working hours and as a result it would be very difficult to monitor their body ***,these healthcare professionals also wear face shields and in such cases monitoring temperature by exposing forehead needs removal of face *** so after regular intervals is surely uncomfortable for healthcare *** avoid such issues,this paper is disclosing a technologically advanced face shield equipped with sensors capable of monitoring body temperature instantly without the hassle of removing the face *** face shield is integrated with a built-in infrared temperature sensor.A total of 10 such face shields were printed and assembled within the university lab and then handed over to a group of ten members including faculty and students of nursing and health science *** sequence was repeated four times and as a result 40 healthcare workers participated in the ***,feedback analysis was conducted on questionnaire data and found a significant overall mean score of 4.59 out of 5 which indicates that the product is effective and worthy in every *** analysis is also performed in the simulated environment and found that the device can easily withstand the typically applied *** limitations of this product are difficulty in cleaning the product and comparatively hig

Gallbladder(GB) wall thickening is a frequent finding caused by a spectrum of conditions. It is observed in many extracholecystic as well as intrinsic GB conditions. GB wall thickening can either be diffuse or focal. Diffuse wall thickening is a secondary occurrence in both extrinsic and intrinsic pathologies of GB, whereas, focal wall thickening is mostly associated with intrinsic GB pathologies. In the absence of specific clinical features, accurate etiological diagnosis can be challenging. The survival rate in GB carcinoma(GBC) can be improved if it is diagnosed at an early stage, especially when the tumor is confined to the wall. The pattern of wall thickening in GBC is often confused with benign diseases, especially chronic cholecystitis, xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis, and adenomyomatosis. Early recognition and differentiation of these conditions can improve the prognosis. In this minireview, the authors describe the patterns of abnormalities on various imaging modalities(conventional as well as advanced) for the diagnosis of GB wall thickening. This paper also illustrates an algorithmic approach for the etiological diagnosis of GB wall thickening and suggests a formatted reporting for GB wall abnormalities.

Video Based Vehicle Detection and its Application in Intelligent Transportation Systems

Video based vehicle detection technology is an integral part of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), due to its non-intrusiveness and comprehensive vehicle behavior data collection capabilities. This paper proposes an efficient video based vehicle detection system based on Harris-Stephen corner detector algorithm. The algorithm was used to develop a stand alone vehicle detection and tracking system that determines vehicle counts and speeds at arterial roadways and freeways. The proposed video based vehicle detection system was developed to eliminate the need of complex calibration, robustness to contrasts variations, and better performance with low resolutions videos. The algorithm performance for accuracy in vehicle counts and speed was evaluated. The performance of the proposed system is equivalent or better compared to a commercial vehicle detection system. Using the developed vehicle detection and tracking system an advance warning intelligent transportation system was designed and implemented to alert commuters in advance of speed reductions and congestions at work zones and special events. The effectiveness of the advance warning system was evaluated and the impact discussed.

A selective, sensitive and rugged liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS) assay has been developed for the simultaneous determination of doxepin(Dox) and its pharmacologically active metabolite, nordoxepin(NDox) in human plasma. The analytes and their internal standards(IS)were extracted from 500 m L of human plasma by liquid-liquid extraction using methyl tert-butyl *** separation was achieved on Hypurity C8 column(100 mm ? 4.6 mm, 5 mm) using a mixture of acetonitrile-methanol(95:5, v/v) and 2.0 mM ammonium formate in 93:7(v/v) ratio. Detection was accomplished by tandem mass spectrometry in the positive ionization and multiple reaction monitoring acquisition mode. The protonated precursor to product ion transitions studied for Dox, NDox,and their corresponding ISs, propranolol and desipramine, were m/z 280.1-107.0, 266.0-107.0,260.1-116.1 and 267.1-72.1, respectively. A linear dynamic range of 15.0–3900 pg/mL for Dox and 5.00–1300 pg/mL for NDox was established with mean correlation coefficient(r2) of 0.9991 and 0.9993, respectively. The extraction recovery ranged from 86.6%–90.4% and 88.0%–99.1% for Dox and NDox, respectively. The intra-batch and inter-batch precision(% CV) across quality control levels was r 8.3% for both the analytes. Stability evaluated under different storage conditions showed no evidence of degradation and the % change in stability samples compared to nominal concentration ranged from 4.7% to12.3%. The method was successfully applied to a bioequivalence study of 6 mg doxepin hydrochloride orally disintegrating tablet in 41 healthy Indian subjects under fasting and fed conditions.

Optical and structural properties of highly porous shell structured Fe doped TiO_2 thin films

TiO2thin films with 0.2 wt%, 0.4 wt%, 0.6wt%, and 0.8 wt% Fe were prepared on glass and silicon substrates using sol–gel spin coating technique. The optical cut-off points are increasingly red-shifted and the absorption edge is shifted over the higher wavelength region with Fe content increasing. As Fe content increases, the optical band gap decreases from 3.03 to 2.48 eV whereas the tail width increases from 0.26 to 1.43 eV. The X-ray diffraction（XRD） patterns for doped films at 0.2 wt% and0.8 wt% Fe reveal no characteristic peaks, indicating that the film is amorphous whereas undoped TiO2exhibits（101） orientation with anatase phase. Thin films of higher Fe content exhibit a homogeneous, uniform, and nanostructured highly porous shell morphology.

Many researchers have developed various methods for in-planta or floral dip transformation of Arabidopsis thaliana, one of the simple protocol and widely used to produce transgenic Arabidopsis. As the efficiency and ease of getting a transformant is very much time consuming effort and less number of the transformants people get, we have developed a little modified transformation protocol to avoid the disparities. Four types of inoculums (inoculum1, inoculum2, inoculum3 and inoculum4) were used to check the transformation efficiency out of which Inoculum3 showed the highest rate of transformation among the four types. 0.07% Twin-20 also acts in same manner as silwet L-77 to increase the rate of transformation efficiency and glucose instead of sucrose can be used in inoculum to transform Arabidopsis. After vacuum infiltration keeping the Agrobacterium infected plants for 7-8 hrs horizontally in low light at 280C temperature condition, considered best to get an increased number of transformed seeds. Modified protocol produced ~12-14% increase in transformants. Selection pots (kanamycin supplemented soil filled pots) in place of selection plates (Kanamycin supplemented Murashige and Skoog agar plates) proved beneficial as no MS medium and no aseptic condition is required for selection of transformed plants. This increase in transformation efficiency consequently increased the percentage of homozygous and single copied stable transgenic lines.

Microscopic Observation of Nuclear Track Pores in Polymeric Membranes

Nuclear track pores were develop and observed in polycarbonate and LR-115 membranes. The polymer membranes were irradiated by swift heavy ions (SHI) and etched chemically. The stopping range of heavy ion is larger than the thickness of the membrane. The fluence of ions was changes from 103 to 107 ions-cm-2. The etching time was increased till pore size reaches up to micron range. The etching conditions were set to develop the porous tracks. The tracks are revealed under optical microscope as the size reaches up to micron or sub-micron size. The size was measured using standard electron diffraction grid. Results show that the porous tracks having average size of 2.4 micron can be developed in polycarbonate, while 5 - 10 micron porous tracks can be developed in LR-115.

Conducting polyaniline/ZnFe_(2)O_(4) nanocomposites are synthesized by using a simple and inexpensive one-step in-situ polymerization method in the presence of ZnFe2O4 *** structural,morphological and electrical properties of the samples are characterized by x-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectra and scanning electron *** results reveal the formation of polyaniline/ZnFe2O4 *** morphology of these samples is studied by scanning electron ***,the ac conductivity(σac)of these composites is investigated in the frequency range of 1 kHz–10 *** presence of polarons and bipolarons are responsible for the frequency dependence of ac conductivity in these *** ac conductivity is found to be constant up to 1MHz and thereafter it increases *** ac conductivity of 0.695 S・cm^(−1) at room temperature is observed as the maxima for the polyaniline with 40wt%of the ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite.
