Arachnoiditis Ossificans Mimicking Spinal Intradural Extramedullary Tumor: A Case Report and Review of the literature

Arachnoiditis ossificans is an intradural extramedullary lesion resulting from an unusual chronic meningeal inflammatory process and it is thought to be the sequela of end-stage adhesive arachnoiditis secondary to surgery, trauma, arachnoid hemorrhage, meningeal irritation, myelography (particularly oil-based contrast agents), and spinal anesthesia. The spinal arachnoiditis ossificans may be silent or cause a variety of symptoms depending on its location and uncommonly happen to cause spinal cord compression. Very little attention has been paid to the management and outcome of this rare condition in the neurosurgical reem. We report the case of a 45 years old man admitted with l1 - l2 arachnoiditis ossificans revealed by polyradiculopathy on incomplete cauda equina syndrome mimicking spinal canal tumors. The patient underwent surgery and we performed the laminectomy of l1 - l2, total resection of the lesion, followed by a complete remission of the hemiparesis after three months of kinesitherapy nursing.

High catalytic activity and substrate specificity make enzymes a rich source of inspiration for catalyst ***-opting the advantages of natural materials while tuning them to a modified form and purpose,however,is not a straightforward synthetic *** of l-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine(l-DOPA)results in amorphous polymer nanoparticles that are similar in many ways to natural ***,the authors introduce mesoporosity and iron ion chelation to synthesize a variant of the l-DOPA polymer with high peroxidase-like *** results indicate catalytic reaction with peroxide under mildly acidic conditions(pH 5.4 and 6)with a greater maximum reaction velocity(Vmax)than horseradish peroxidase(HRP)at optimal pH 3.5–*** between Fe(Ⅲ)and Fe(Ⅱ)loading indicates that either can be used as a starting point to trigger reactivity,though Fe(Ⅱ)loading leads to materials with twice the Vmax of the Fe(Ⅲ)-loaded *** lack of catalyst degradation despite the redox changes and presence of radical species is consistent with the robust nature and redox versatility of polydopamine-based materials and demonstrates strong potential as a versatile redox-catalysis platform.

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus has spread worldwide,and millions of people are being *** or detection classification is one of the first application areas of deep learning,which has a significant contribution to medical image *** classification detection,one or more images(detection)are usually used as input,and diagnostic variables(such as whether there is a disease)are used as *** novel coronavirus has spread across the world,infecting millions of ***-stage detection of critical cases of COVID-19 is essential.X-ray scans are used in clinical studies to diagnose COVID-19 and Pneumonia *** extracting the discriminative features through these modalities,deep convolutional neural networks(CNNs)are used.A siamese convolutional neural network model(COVID-3D-SCNN)is proposed in this study for the automated detection of COVID-19 by utilizing X-ray *** extract the useful features,we used three consecutive models working in parallel in the proposed *** acquired 575 COVID-19,1200 non-COVID,and 1400 pneumonia images,which are publicly *** our framework,augmentation is used to enlarge the *** findings suggest that the proposed method outperforms the results of comparative studies in terms of accuracy 96.70%,specificity 95.55%,and sensitivity 96.62%over(COVID-19 ***-COVID19 ***).

在智利三岔点附近大洋钻探计划的859号钻孔中,首次对气体水合物层底部的似海底反射层(BSR)的源进行了测井,以揭示产生波阻抗反差的性质。从P波速度估算,在紧接BSP的上部孔隙中水合物不足18％,因此其密集程度不足以引起反射层。BSR是在8m厚的区间内由V_p的急剧下降和可能的密度下降引起。对860号钻孔BSR波型的地震模拟和BSR振幅与偏移距的对比表明,BSR产生于具有低的V_p和剪切波速度的12m区段内,低的波速与该区间内含少量游离气(占孔隙约1％)的情况相一致。
