In the present work,a multi-element nanoglass(m-NG)of FeCoCrMoCBY is obtained first time by the laser ablation combined with inert gas condensation(laser-IGC)*** with the conventional rapid-quenched metallic glass(MG)with identical composition,the Fe-based m-NG demonstrates a superior performance as a self-supported electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in acidic *** enhanced HER activity of m-NG is proposed to be closely related to its high en-ergy states,which is originated from the unique inhomogeneous nanostructures with a high density of low-coordinated ***,the Fe-based m-NG exhibits an outstanding comprehensive catalytic performance even beyond the commercial Pt/C catalyst in long-term test due to its self-optimization *** work not only opens the way to the preparation of m-NGs by the novel laser-IGC technique,but also makes a great contribution to developing low-cost,high-efficient,and super-durable HER electrocat-alysts in acidic environment.

REBa_(2)Cu_(3)O_(7−x)(REBCO)coated conductors,owing to its high tensile strength and current‐carrying ability in a background field,are widely regarded a promising candidate in high‐field *** the great potentials,recent studies have highlighted the challenges posed by screening currents,which are featured by a highly nonuniform current distribution in the superconducting *** this paper,we report a comprehensive study on the behaviors of screening currents in a compact REBCO coil,specifically the screeningcurrent‐induced magnetic fields and *** were carried out in the self‐generated magnetic field and a background field,*** the self‐field condition,the full hysteresis of the magnetic field was obtained by applying current sweeps with repeatedly reversed polarity,as the nominal center field reached 9.17 t with a maximum peak current of 350 *** a background field of 23.15 t,the insert coil generated a center field of 4.17 t with an applied current of 170 ***,a total center field of 32.58 t was achieved before *** the sequential model and the coupled model considering the perpendicular field modification due to conductor deformation are *** comparative study shows that,for this coil,the electromagnetic–mechanical coupling plays a trivial role in self‐field conditions up to 9 *** contrast,with a high axial field dominated by the background field,the coupling effect has a stronger influence on the predicted current and strain *** discussions regarding the role of background field on the strains in the insert suggest potential design strategies to maximize the total center field.

AIM:to report a one-year clinical outcomes of low-dose laser cycloplasty(LCP)among malignant glaucoma ***:In this prospective,multicenter,noncomparative clinical study,participants with malignant glaucoma were recruited and underwent LCP at eight ophthalmic centers in *** were followed up at 1wk,1,3,6,and *** pressure(IOP),number of glaucoma medications,anterior chamber depth(ACD),and complications were *** success was defined as the reformation of the anterior chamber based on slit-lamp *** was defined by the presence of a shallow orﬂat anterior chamber after initial recovery from ***:A total of 34 eyes received *** IOP and medications decreased from 36.1±11.5 mm Hg with 3.3±1.5 glaucoma medications pre-treatment to 20.9±9.8 mm Hg(Pth 2.9±1.6 medications(P=0.046)at 1d,and 17.4±6.7 mm Hg(Pth 1.3±1.7 medications(Pt *** ACD increased from 1.1±0.8 mm at baseline to 1.7±1.0 mm and to 2.0±0.5 mm at 1d and 12mo,respectively.A total of 32(94.1%)eyes achieved initial anatomical *** follow-up,2(5.9%)eyes failed and 8(23.5%)eyes relapsed,yielding a 12-month anatomical success rate of 64.3%.Complications including anterior synechia(8.82%),choroidal/ciliary detachment(5.88%)and hypopyon(2.94%)were observed within ***:LCP is simple,safe,and effective in reforming the anterior chamber in malignant glaucoma.

the United Nations(UN)’s call for a decade of“ecosystem restoration”was prompted by the need to address the extensive impact of anthropogenic activities on natural *** ecosystem restoration is increasingly necessary due to increasing habitat degredation in deep waters(>200 m depth).At these depths,which are far beyond those accessible by divers,only established and emerging robotic platforms such as remotely operated vehicles(ROVs),autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs),landers,and crawlers can operate through manipulators and multiparametric sensor arrays(e.g.,optoacoustic imaging,omics,and environmental probes).the use of advanced technologies for deep-sea ecosystem restoration can provide:①high-resolution three-dimensional(3D)imaging and acoustic mapping of substrates and key taxa,②physical manipulation of substrates and key taxa,③real-time supervision of remote operations and long-term ecological monitoring,and④the potential to work ***,we describe how robotic platforms with in situ manipulation capabilities and payloads of innovative sensors could autonomously conduct active restoration and monitoring across large spatial *** expect that these devices will be particularly useful in deep-sea habitats,such as①reef-building cold-water corals,②soft-bottom bamboo corals,and③soft-bottom fishery resources that have already been damaged by offshore industries(i.e.,fishing and oil/gas).

Skeletal muscle anabolism is driven by numerous stimuli such as growth factors,nutrients(i.e.,amino acids,glucose),and mechanical *** stimuli are integrated by the mechanistic target of rapamycin(mtOR)complex 1(mtORC1)signal transduction *** recent years,work from our laboratory and elsewhere has sought to unravel the molecular mechanisms underpinning the mtOR-related activation of muscle protein synthesis(MPS),as well as the spatial regulation of these mechanisms within the skeletal muscle *** studies have suggested that the skeletal muscle fiber periphery is a region of central importance in anabolism(i.e.,growth/MPS).Indeed,the fiber periphery is replete with the substrates,molecular machinery,and translational apparatus necessary to facilitate *** review provides a summary of the mechanisms underpinning the mtOR-associated activation of MPS from cell,rodent,and human *** also presents an overview of the spatial regulation of mtORC1 in response to anabolic stimuli and outlines the factors that distinguish the periphery of the cell as a highly notable region of skeletal muscle for the induction of *** research should seek to further explore the nutrient-induced activation of mtORC1 at the periphery of skeletal muscle fibers.

tuning the surface-embellishing ligands of metal nanoparticles(NPs) is a powerful strategy to modulate their morphology and surface electronic and functional features, impacting their catalytic activity and selectivity. In this work, we report the design and synthesis of a polytriazolium organic cage PIC-t, capable of stabilizing Pd NPs within its discrete cavity. the obtained material(denoted Pd@PCC-t) is highly durable and monodispersed with narrow particle-size distribution of 2.06 ± 0.02 nm, exhibiting excellent catalytic performance and recyclability in the Sonogashira coupling and tandem reaction to synthesize benzofuran derivatives. Further investigation indicates that the modulation of N-heterocyclic carbene sites embedded in the organic cage has an impact on NPs’ catalytic efficiency, thus providing a novel methodology to design superior NP catalysts.

Serrated polyps of the colorectum form a group of related lesions which include aberrant crypt foci (ACF), conventional hyperplastic polyps, mixed (admixed) polyps, serrated adenomas and sessile serrated adenomas. In recent years the molecular differences between these morphologically similar lesions have been highlighted, and their differing biological potential has been realised. In particular, the sessile serrated adenoma has become recognised as the precursor lesion to a group of sporadic colorectal carcinomas characterised by morphological and molecular features distinct from conventional adenomas. these recent findings have challenged the long held paradigm that all colorectal carcinomas arise via the traditional adenoma-carcinoma sequence. In addition, they present a major challenge for the early detection and management of colorectal cancer, which is no longer regarded as a homogeneous entity.
