Improved methodological concepts for processing liquid Mg at high temperature

In this paper,new improvements of methodological concepts upon examining wettability of high vapor pressure liquid metal systems(***-based alloys)in contact with refractory materials,are presented and *** this regard,high-temperature experiments on molten magnesium(Mg)in contact with graphite as a refractory substrate,were performed by utilizing a newly developed testing device and by applying a suitable experimental *** wetting experiments were carried out by the sessile drop method and under identical testing conditions(700℃/10 min under a protective gas atmosphere).Two different procedures were applied:the classical contact heating(CH)or a newly introduced capillary purification(Cp)*** contact angle behaviors observed under the same conditions were strongly influenced by the applied ***,in the case of using the CH procedure,a presence of native surface oxide layer on the metal surface hinders the observations of melting process,making not possible to experimentally determine the wetting kinetics curveθ=f(t).Contrarily,during the wetting test performed on the Mg/graphite coup.e by applying the Cp procedure,the native surface oxide layer was mechanically removed during the squeezing of the molten Mg through the hole of a ***,an oxide-free squeezed Mg-drop with regular and spherical shape was successfully obtained and dispensed on the graphite ***,the reliable contact angle value aroundθ=150°for the Mg/graphite system,was measured within the wetting test.

p2X7 purinoceptor promotes survival or cytotoxicity depending on extraceUular adenosine triphosphate （ATp） stimulus Intensity controlling its ion channel or p2X7-dependent large pore （Lp） functions. Mechanisms governing this operational divergence and functional idiosyncrasy are ill-understood. We have discovered a feedback loop where sustained activation of p2X7 triggers release of active matrix metalloproteinase 2 （MMp-2）, which halts ion channel and Lp responses via the MMp-2-dependent receptor cleavage. This mechanism operates in cells as diverse as macrophages, dystrophic myoblasts, p2X7-transfected HEK293, and human tumour cells. Given that serum-born MMp-2 activity also blocked receptor functions, p2X7 responses in vivo may decrease in organs with permeable capillaries. Therefore, this mechanism represents an Important fine-tuning of p2X7 functions, reliant on both cell-autonomous and extraneous factors. Indeed, it allowed evasion from the ATp-induced cvtotoxicity in macrophages and human cancer ceils with high p2X7 expression levels. Finally, we demonstrate that p2X7 ablation eliminated getatinase activity in inflamed dystrophic muscles in vivo. Thus, p2X7 antagonists could be used as an alternative to highly toxic MMp inhibitors in treatments of inflammatory diseases and cancers.

Arctostaphylos uva-ursi *** extract and its modified cysteine preparation for the management of insulin resistance:chemical analysis and bioactivity

Bearberry(Arctostaphylos uva-ursi L.)is a perennial plant of the heather family(Ericaceae).The leaves are dominated by arbutin,phenol carbonic acids flavonoids,saponins,*** was previously shown that the bearberry leaves extract reduced blood glucose level in healthy animals under glucose overload,so it need to be studied more *** aim of the study was to investigate the chemical composition and the effect of dry alcohol extract from bearberry leaves,which enriched with cysteine,on the rats pancreas under experimental dexamethasone-induced insulin resistance(Ir).Arctostaphylos uva-ursi *** extract and its modified cysteine preparation were obtained according to the developed method with 50%ethanol *** phytochemical profile,hypoglycaemic and pancreatic protective effect were ***(arbutin),phenolic carboxylic acid(gallic acid),5 flavonoids and 4 hydroxy-cinnamic acids were identified and quantified in the extracts by *** data revealed that bearberry leaves alcoholic dry extract enriched with cysteine has a hypoglycaemic and pancreatic protective effect in treated animals under dexamethasone-induced Ir *** improved hyperglycaemia,insulin resistance and beta cell reduc-tion induced by dexamethasone injections.

Complex preparations for the protection potato on theBasis of Tebuconazole

Among the various methods to protect potatoes from common diseases, the most economical and environmentally friendly is tuber dressing. Based on the tebuconazole, thiram and benzimidazole fungicides, protectants (in the form of solid dispersions and suspensions) have been developed for use on potatoes against various diseases. The solid-phase mechanochemical modification of selected fungicides with the help of water-soluble polymers made it possible to obtain supramolecular complexes that possessed high biological activity with a reduced dosage of active substances 10 and more times due to their influence on the properties of cell membranes. An alternative approach the development of stable suspension forms for these fungicides without the use of traditional formative substances (stabilizers, emulsifiers, film formers, etc.) allowed for the practical use of innovative products in the form of suspension concentrates. The analysis of the quality indicators of the obtained multicomponent environmentally friendly protectants made it possible to select the most promising of them, the biological tests of which indicated a decrease in the number of tubers of patients with dry rot 1.6-2.0 times in comparison with the control variant, and they were also more effective than the standard preparation (Colfugo Super, SC 60) 1.2-1.3 times. The proposed preparations significantly reduced the development of rhizoctoniosis in the period of sprouting 5.8-7.3 times or the plants were completely healthy, and in the budding-flowering stage 2.7-5.5 times. The preparations provided a reliable yield increase, and also reduced the weight percentage of unsuitable tubers and significantly increased the yield of healthy tubers.

Wavelet Analyses of Geomagnetic Data regarding Major Geomagnetic Disturbances

The purpose of this study was to analyze the associated spectrum of geomagnetic field,frequencies intensity and the time of *** calculated the variation of the correlation coefficients,with mobile windows of various sizes,for the recorded magnetic components at different latitudes and *** observatories we included in our study are USA(Surlari),HON(Honolulu),SBA(Scott Base),KAK(Kakioka),THY(Tihany),UpS(Uppsala),WNG(Wingst)and Yellowknife(YKC).We used the data of these observatories from International real-time Magnetic Observatory Network(INTErMAGNET)for the geomagnetic storm from October 28-31,*** have used for this purpose a series of filtering algorithms,spectral analysis and wavelet with different mother functions at different *** the paper,we show the Fourier and wavelet analysis of geomagnetic data recorded at different observatories regarding geomagnetic *** analysis hightlights predominant frequencies of magnetic field *** analysis provides information about the frequency ranges of magnetic fields,which contain long time intervals for medium frequency information and short time intervals for highlight frequencies,details of the analyzed ***,the wavelet analysis allows us to decompose geomagnetic signals in different *** analyses presented are significant for the studies of the geomagnetic *** data for the next days after the storm showed a mitigation of the perturbations and a transition to quiet days of the geomagnetic field.
