In the work, we offer a brief report by research results demonstrating correlations between energy status of peripheral blood lymphocytes and functional state of vital tissues mitochondria. Basing on our preliminary data, showing correlations between succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) activity in peripheral blood lymphocytes and speed or duration of pyridine nucleotides reduction in mitochondria of rat brain and liver tissues, we propose an idea of using cytobiochemical method of SDH estimation in peripheral blood lymphocytes for evaluation of tissue mitochondria status. The method could be successfully used in clinical practice for early revealing of energy metabolism disturbances that allows preventing disease development and optimizing the diseases therapy.

The new theoretical models describe both the solubility S of the shot chain n-alkanes in water at 298.15 K, and their reaction rate constants k with nitronium cation NO2+ at 293.15 K on the basis of their molecular orbital characteristics. It is shown that both the quantities S and k are determined by the energies Eorb of the specific virtual (for S) and occupied (for k) molecular orbitals of these n-alkanes. The obtained regression equations confirm the theoretically found dependences of S and k on the absolute value of Eorb. This fact demonstrates that the electronic structure particularities of the studied n-alkanes play a crucial role in both their above-mentioned physicochemical properties.

Cargo ship sailing within the ice channel that an assisting icebreaker tracks in the compact ice cover is the usual navigation practice for difficult ice conditions in freezing seas and Arcticwater *** the icebreaker or an ahead vessel stops before the insuperable ice obstacle or because of engine trouble,the danger of an emergency appears,namely of collision with the icebreaker or the ahead ship,if the interval between them is not sufficient for effective braking and *** paper presents the equation that describes the ship braking process within an ice channel and includes the thrust of the propeller that works under the reverse *** specific of this regime is the following:the ship continues the motion‘forwards’and the propeller rotates‘backwards’.An analytical method for description of the ship propeller work on the reverse regime is absent because of the detached flow on its *** paper describes the developed empirical method of this regime parameterization on the basis of serial models of propeller *** outcomes of this investigation are applied to a ship braking process simulation and the evaluation of the safe interval between the ship and the icebreaker.

In the present work, for the first time, the main details of the electronic mechanism of the synergistic antioxidant interaction between different pairs: phenolic food acid and glutathione and the stable radical cation ABTS+· were revealed on the basis of a rigorous analysis of the DFT calculated data. It was shown that among all the studied food acids, only caffeic acid exhibits a clear-cut significant synergistic effect with glutathione. It established the electronic and structural factors underlying the mechanism of the synergistic interaction of the mixture caffeic acid and glutathione in its reaction with ABTS+·. The main causes of this considered synergistic effect are, firstly, the presence of the 3-OH and 4-OH hydroxyl groups in the structure of caffeic acid, secondly, the greater stability of its anion which contains the deprotonated 4-OH hydroxyl group. All other phenolic food acids under study do not possess the given structural particularity and therefore do not show such synergistic effects with glutathione.

Females of the ectoparasitoid Habrobracon hebetor attack and envenomate numerous host individuals during oviposition. The vectoring of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana during the adhesion stage by ectoparasitoid females among the wax moth larvae Galleria mellonella was explored under laboratory conditions. Vectoring occurred both from infected parasitoids to wax moth larvae and from infected to healthy wax moth larvae by parasitoids. The efficacy of vectoring in both cases was dose dependent. Parasitoid females were unable to recognize infected larvae in a labyrinth test. In addition, the presence of H. hebetor females significantly （1.5-13 fold） increased the mycoses level in clusters of G. mellonella, with 40% of the larvae infected with ftmgal conidia. Envenomation by H. hebetor increased conidia germination on the cuticles of the wax moth larvae by 4.4 fold. An enhanced germination rate （2 fold） was registered in the n- hexane epicuticular extract of envenomated larvae compared to that of healthy larvae. Both envenomation and mycoses enhanced the phenoloxidase （PO） activity in the integument of G. mellonella and, in contrast, decreased the encapsulation rate in hemolymphs. We hypothesize that changes in the integument property and inhibition of cellular immunity provide the highest infection efficacy of entomopathogenic fungi with H. hebetor.

INTRODUCTION Anthropogenic activities and associated factors such as climate change and habitat destruction are causing the ongoing sixth mass extinction on Earth,which is a major characteristic of the ***,these factors pose the most serious environmental threat to the existence of civilization because it is *** than 500 species of mammals were found to be on the brink of extinction and likely to be lost within 20 years(Ceballos et al.2020).One example is the common hamster Cricetus cricetus(Linnaeus,1758).In 2020,this species was classified as Critically Endangered across its global range by the IUCN Red List(Banaszek et al.2020).The protection status of the common hamster was elevated by 4 levels at once—from Least Concern to Critically *** the causes behind the dramatic decline of the species are not fully understood,one may suppose it stems from the negative impact of habitat degradation and even climate change(Banaszek et al.2020).

Results of simulations of streamers propagating along the atmospheric-pressure helium plasma jets ejected from a thin tube into ambient air are presented. The computational model includes the equations governing the helium-air mixture composition along and across the jet, as well as the equations, describing streamer propagation in the mixture, for the electric field and the charged species densities. Streamer velocity and spatial-temporal profiles of plasma parameters are obtained for various values of the helium flow rate. It is shown, in agreement with available experimental data, that the electric field values in the heads of streamers increase nearly linearly with the distance from the tube exit and that the slope of this dependence decreases with the growth of the helium flow rate.

We present a detailed magnetostratigraphic and cyclostratigraphic profile through the Riphean(Tonian)Katav Formation in the southern *** study confirms the primary nature of the magnetization in these *** cyclostratigraphic study identified several orbital periods including the 405 ka long *** allows us to quantify the reversal frequency in the Katav and our estimates range of 7–12 reversals per million *** on our study,we identify an interval of magnetic field reversal hyperactivity in the Neoproterozoic *** estimates for the Katav are contentious and range somewhere between 800 Ma and 900 Ma based on carbonate Pb-Pb ages and stable isotope *** paleomagnetic poles obtained in this study of the Katav(and overlying Inzer)Formation do not fit anywhere on the Baltica apparent polar wander path between 1100 Ma and 900 ***,they lie 90away from the 900 Ma segment of the *** tentatively estimate their age to be closer to 800 Ma and perhaps confirm a previously hypothesized pulse of rapid true polar wander between 825 Ma and 790 Ma.
