Predictive potential distribution modeling is of increasing importance in modern herpetological studies and determination of environmental and conservation priorities. In this article we provided results of analysis and forecasts of the potential distribution of smallscaled rock agama Paralaudakia microlepis （Blanford, 1874） using the distribution models through Maxent （***/- schapire / maxent）. We made an attempt for comparison of input of bioclimatic factors and characteristics of biotope distribution for three species of genus Paralaudalda. Constructed model identified dissemination of Paralaudakia microlepis enough performance （AUC = 0.972 with dispersion 0.003）. According to the map constructed, the most suitable habitats of smallscaled rock agama Paralaudakia microlepis are located in southern and eastern Iran, the west of central Pakistan and southeastern Afghanistan.

The application of metal nanoparticles as an efficient drug delivery system is one of the directions of cancer therapy ***,this strategy requires precise information about how the drug interacts with the applied *** this study,atomic force microscopy combined with infrared spectroscopy(AFM-IR)was used for the first time to investigate the erlotinib adsorption structure on two different types of 15 nm metal nanoparticle mono-layers,namely,silver nanoparticle(AgNP)and gold nanoparticle(AuNP)*** the metal nanoparticles are loosely bound samples,only the tapping AFM-IR mode is suitable for the collection of IR maps and spectra for such a *** obtained results indicated the relevance of the AFM-IR technique for characterizing drug interactions with a metal mono-layer *** investigated drug interacts with the AgNPs mainly through phenyl rings and methoxy moieties,while quinazoline,amino,and ethoxy moieties appear to be farther from the *** the AuNPs,the interaction occurs through both the phenyl ring and the quinazoline ***,the aliphatic groups of erlotinib directly participate in this *** novelty of the present work is also related to the use of the tapping AFM-IR mode to study metal NP mono-layers with a drug adsorbed on *** collected IR maps for the most enhanced erlotinib bands show specific areas with very high signal *** connection between these areas and the"hot spots"typical for the surface plasmon resonance phenomenon of metals is considered.

BACKGROUND： In recent years, an adaptive endoplasmic reticulum （ER） stress response has been actively investigated. The ER membrane, isolated from the intact and regenerating liver, may be an appropriate model for investigating the association between structural and functional characteristics of ER in vivo and their corresponding behavioral characteristics in vitro. The rate of lipid synthesis and that of intracellular lipid exchange between the ER and cytosol were investigated in the intact and regenerating liver （13 h after partial hepatectomy）. Particularly, membrane characteristics, surface potential, and glucose 6- phosphatase （G6Pase） activity were investigated, along with the degradation rate of G6Pase in vitro, which was estimated by the loss of G6Pase activity, formation of lipid peroxides, and size of excreted membrane vesicles. METHODS： The rate of lipid synthesis was determined by measuring the intensity of radioactive precursor （C^14-sodium acetate） in different fractions of lipids （phospholipids, non-esterified fatty acids, and triacylglycerides） after 30 min exposure. The rate of lipid metabolism was assessed by measuring the quantity oflipids with radioactive labels emerging in the cytosol of hepatocytes （CPM）. Viscosity and surface potential were determined by fluorescent probes. RESULTS： It was observed that after 13 h of partial hepatectomy, the rate of lipid synthesis in the ER of hepatocytes in the regenerating liver was 3 times lower than that in ER ofhepatocytes in the intact liver, wherein the rate of incorporation of newly synthesized lipids in cytosol was several times higher in the regenerating liver. Increase in the rate of exchange of neutral lipids in cells of the regenerating liver was accompanied by lipid reconstruction in the ER, changing the structural and functional characteristics of the membrane. Metal nanoparticle （NP） co-catalysts on metal oxide semiconductor supports are attracting attention as photocatalysts for a variety of chemical reactions. Related efforts seek to make and use Pt-free catalysts. In this regard, we report here enhanced CH4 formation rates of 25 and 60 μmol·g^-1·h^-1 by photocatalytic CO2 reduction using hitherto unused ZnPd NPs as well as Au and Ru NPs. The NPs are formed by colloidal synthesis and grafted onto short n-type anatase TiO2 nanotube arrays （TNAs）, grown anodically on transparent glass substrates. The interfacial electric fields in the NP-grafted TiO2 nanotubes were probed by ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy （UPS）. Au NP-grafted TiO2 nanotubes （Au-TNAs） showed no band bending, but a depletion region was detected in Ru NP-grafted TNAs （Ru-TNAs） and an accumulation layer was observed in ZnPd NP-grafted TNAs （ZnPd-TNAs）. Temperature programmed desorption （TPD） experiments showed significantly greater CO2 adsorption on NP-grafted TNAs. TNAs with grafted NPs exhibit broader and more intense UV-visible absorption bands than bare TNAs. We found that CO2 photoreduction by nanoparticle-grafted TNAs was driven not only by ultraviolet photons with energies greater than the TiO2 band gap, but also by blue photons close to and below the anatase band edge. The enhanced rate of CO2 reduction is attributed to superior use of blue photons in the solar spectrum, excellent reactant adsorption, efficient charge transfer to adsorbates, and low recombination losses.

Compensatory/adaptive mechanisms in the brain are hy- pothesized to be involved in its protection from the Alz- heimer＇s disease （AD） progression. These mechanisms are activated by malfunctioning of various brain systems： anti- oxidant, neurotrophic, neurotransmitter, immune, and oth- ers. Detailed analysis of compensatory^adaptive capabilities of these systems might be a start point for further discovery and development of perspective approaches for early diag- nostics and treatment of AD and associated neurodegenera- tive disorders.

Cells producing cytokines often express the receptor for the same cytokine, which makes them prone to autocrine signaling. How cytokine release and signaling are regulated in the same cell is not understood? In this study, we demonstrate that signaling by exogenous and self-synthesized inflammatory cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6) within endosomal compartments acts as a cellular brake that limits the synthesis of IL-6. Our data show that IL-6 is internalized by dendritic cells and signals from endosomal compartments containing the IL-6 receptor. Newly synthesized IL-6 also traffics via these endosomal compartments and signals in transit to the plasma membrane. This allows activation of STAT3 which in turn limits toll-like receptor 4 stimulant lipopolysaccharide (LPS) triggered transcription of IL-6. Long-term exposure to LPS removes this brake via inhibition of STAT3 by increased expression of suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 and results in fully fledged IL-6 production. This transient regulation could prevent excessive IL-6 production during early infections.

Coastal marine management is vital for socio-ecological sustainability of developing,tropical ecosystems,which calls for diverse tools to monitor and assess water *** carbonatedominated habitats off Zanzibar were chosen for study due to potential water quality degradation in a rapidly developing tourist destination heavily reliant on its coral *** reefs are largely unmonitored and subject to local and global stressors.A widely used method for assessing reef health,as an early detection method of ecological changes,is the application of large benthic foraminiferal bioindicators,i.e.,the Fo RAM *** expected to find poor water quality conditions in the unmanaged reefs supported by stress-toelerant(opportunistic)foraminiferal *** dissolved inorganic nitrogen and phosphate values derived from untreated sewage effluent from Stone Town were highly variable(ranging 0.05–3.77 and 0.05–1.45μM,respectively),moderate,and occasionally approached or exceeded critical threshold values for oligotrophic *** analysis of total assemblages indicated an abundance of symbiont-bearing large benthic foraminifera,dominated by prolific Amphistegina species,comparatively low-moderate diversity,high FI values(7.6 on average),and high coral cover.A water quality gradient was reflected by subtle assemblage differences,suggesting that LBF can provide early warning signals of benthic changes,indicating the importance of long-term monitoring programs in vulnerable,rapidly developing coastal ecosystems exposed to increasing pressures.
