The new theoreti.al models descri.e both the solubi.i.y S of the shot chai. n-alkanes i. water at 298.15 K, and thei. reacti.n rate constants k wi.h ni.roni.m cati.n NO2+ at 293.15 K on the basi. of thei. molecular orbi.al characteri.ti.s. i. i. shown that both the quanti.i.s S and k are determi.ed by the energi.s Eorb of the speci.i. vi.tual (for S) and occupi.d (for k) molecular orbi.als of these n-alkanes. The obtai.ed regressi.n equati.ns confi.m the theoreti.ally found dependences of S and k on the absolute value of Eorb. Thi. fact demonstrates that the electroni. structure parti.ulari.i.s of the studi.d n-alkanes play a cruci.l role i. both thei. above-menti.ned physi.ochemi.al properti.s.

Thi. arti.le descri.es a two-pass algori.hm for accelerati.g the method on the graphi. processi.g uni.(GPU). On the fi.st pass, the i.tersecti.ns wi.h the i.osurface are found only for a small number of rays, whi.h i. done by renderi.g i.to a lower-resoluti.n texture. On the second pass, the obtai.ed i.formati.n i. used to effi.i.ntly calculate the i.tersecti.n poi.ts of all the other. The number of rays to use duri.g the fi.st pass i. determi.ed by usi.g an adapti.e algori.hm, whi.h runs on the central processi.g uni.(CPU) i. parallel wi.h the second pass of the renderi.g. The proposed approach allows to si.ni.i.antly speed up i.osurface vi.uali.ati.n wi.hout quali.y loss. Experi.ents show accelerati.n up to 10 ti.es i. compari.on wi.h a common ray casti.g method i.plemented on GPU. To the authors’ knowledge, thi. i. the fastest approach for ray casti.g whi.h does not requi.e any preprocessi.g and could be run on common GPUs.

As such, the use of di.gnosti. methods i. i.portant to reveal thi. heterogenei.y at the si.gle-cell level. Droplet mi.roflui.i. devi.es are effecti.e tools that provi.e excepti.nal sensi.i.i.y for analyzi.g si.gle cells and molecules. i. thi. revi.w, we hi.hli.ht two novel methods that employ droplet mi.roflui.i.s for ultrasensi.i.e detecti.n of nuclei. aci.s and protei. markers i. cancer cells. We also di.cuss the future practi.al appli.ati.ns of these methods.

We analyzed the changes i. preci.i.ati.n regi.e i. the Altai.Mountai.s for 1959-2014 and esti.ate the i.fluence of atmospheri. ci.culati.ns on these changes. Our study showed that duri.g last 56 years the changes i. the preci.i.ati.n regi.e had a posi.i.e trend for the warm seasons(Apri.-October),but weakly posi.i.e or negati.e trends for the cold seasons(November-March). i. was found that these changes correspond to the decreasi.g contri.uti.n of "Northern meri.i.nal and Stati.nary anti.yclone(Nm-Sa)" and "Northern meri.i.nal and East zonal(Nm-Ez)" ci.culati.n groups and to the i.creasi.g contri.uti.n of "West zonal and Southern meri.i.nal(Wz-Sm)" ci.culati.n groups,accordi.gly to the Dzerdzeevski. classi.i.ati.n. i. addi.i.n,i. was found that the vari.ti.n of preci.i.ati.n has a step change poi.t i. 1980. For the warm seasons,the preci.i.ati.n change at thi. poi.t i. associ.ted wi.h the reduced i.fluence of "West zonal(Wz)","Northern meri.i.nal and Stati.nary anti.yclone(Nm-Sa)" and "Northern meri.i.nal and Southern meri.i.nal(Nm-Sm)" ci.culati.n groups. For the cold seasons,a substanti.li.crease of "Wz-Sm" and a decrease of "Nm-Sa","Nm-Ez" ci.culati.n groups are responsi.le for the preci.i.ati.n change i. the two ti.e peri.ds(1959-1980 and 1981-2014).
