Finite time blow up of the solutions to Boussinesq equation with linear restoring force and combined power nonlinearities is studied. Sufficient conditions on the initial data for nonexistence of global solutions are derived. The results are valid for initial data with arbitrary high positive energy. The proofs are based on the concave method and new sign preserving functionals.

Nanostructured silicon and silicon-aluminum compounds are synthesized by a novel synthesis strategy based on spark plasma sintering(SPS)of silicon nanopowder,mesoporous silicon(pSi),and aluminum *** interplay of metal-assisted crystallization and inherent porosity is exploited to largely suppress thermal *** and temperaturedependent thermal conductivity studies allow us to elucidate the impact of porosity and nanostructure on the macroscopic heat *** electron microscopy along with quantitative image analysis is applied to characterize the sample morphology in terms of domain size and interpore distance *** demonstrate that nanostructured domains and high porosity can be maintained in densified mesoporous silicon *** contrast,strong grain growth is observed for sintered nanopowders under similar sintering *** observe that aluminum agglomerations induce local grain growth,while aluminum diffusion is observed in porous silicon and dispersed nanoparticles.A detailed analysis of the measured thermal conductivity between 300 and 773 K allows us to distinguish the effect of reduced thermal conductivity caused by porosity from the reduction induced by phonon scattering at nanosized *** a modified Landauer/Lundstrom approach the relative thermal conductivity and the scattering length are *** relative thermal conductivity confirms the applicability of Kirkpatrick’s effective medium *** extracted scattering lengths are in excellent agreement with the harmonic mean of log-normal distributed domain sizes and the interpore distances combined by Matthiessen’s rule.

Melt Pockets in Garnet Megacrysts from Cenozoic Alkali Basalts of the Shavaryn Tsaram Vicinity,Mongolia

Garnet megacryst with a multiphase inclusion from intraplate alkali basalts of the Shavaryn Tsaram(Tariat,Mongolia)was the object of the *** unusual aggregate consists of porous glass,Ti-rich biotite,orthopyroxene,spinel,clinopyroxene,olivine,and *** TWQ 2.32 thermodynamic simulation of this system revealed a few intervals of *** and temperature adjustment reflected in the paragenetic minerals of the melt *** capture of already crystallised garnet megacryst was at P=0.8-1 GPa and T=1120-1160℃.Mineral crystallisation inside the melt pocket,accompanied by external inputs,occurred at P=0.75-0.95 GPa;T=790-1120℃.Symplectite assemblage formed in the garnet megacryst due to decomposition at(P=0.55-0.7 GPa;T=850-930℃).The study of the oxygen isotope content in primary garnet and biotite of the melt pocket showed that the δ^(18)O_(VSMOW) values are the same and correspond to that of typical mantle ***,the chemical and microcomponent composition of the melt pocket minerals reveals a material that differs from basalts and ***,it has been revealed that the multiphase inclusion in the garnet megacryst formed not only on account of the garnet’s substance,but also due to the entrapped material of the Earth’s interior.

European companies rely on advanced manu- facturing technologies （AMTs） in order to succeed in an environment of high labour costs, increasing competition and rising customer expectations. AMT implementation is often a high-risk investment. Many companies experience a misalignment between the installed functionality and pro- duction needs. There is a need for decision support in order to take into account all possible advantages and disad- vantages of the technology implementation, and ensure that the technology meets the requirements of the production processes. In this article, a differentiated technology justi- fication approach is introduced. The approach suggests a combination of strategic, financial and risk justification methods. The recommended number and type of methods depend on the integration level of the technical system under consideration, ranging from stand-alone machines to large and integrated production systems. The approach was developed based on a literature review and a case study. The application of the approach was presented in a case where several types of pipe bending technology were evaluated.

We introduce a concept of episode referring to a time interval in the development of a dynamic phenomenon that is characterized by multiple time-variant attributes.A data structure representing a single episode is a multivariate time *** analyse collections of episodes,we propose an approach that is based on recognition of particular patterns in the temporal variation of the variables within *** episode is thus represented by a combination of *** this representation,we apply visual analytics techniques to fulfil a set of analysis tasks,such as investigation of the temporal distribution of the patterns,frequencies of transitions between the patterns in episode sequences,and co-occurrences of patterns of different variables within same *** demonstrate our approach on two examples using real-world data,namely,dynamics of human mobility indicators during the COVID-19 pandemic and characteristics of football team movements during episodes of ball turnover.
