Software Defined network(SDn)and network Function Virtualization(nFV)technology promote several benefits to network operators,including reduced maintenance costs,increased network operational performance,simplified network lifecycle,and policies *** vulnerabilities try to modify services provided by network Function Virtualization MAnagement and Orchestration(nFV MAnO),and malicious attacks in different scenarios disrupt the nFV Orchestrator(nFVO)and Virtualized Infrastructure Manager(VIM)lifecycle management related to network services or individual Virtualized network Function(VnF).This paper proposes an anomaly detection mechanism that monitors threats in nFV MAnO and manages promptly and adaptively to implement and handle security functions in order to enhance the quality of experience for end *** anomaly detector investigates these identified risks and provides secure network *** enables virtual network security functions and identifies anomalies in Kubernetes(a cloud-based platform).For training and testing purpose of the proposed approach,an intrusion-containing dataset is used that hold multiple malicious activities like a Smurf,neptune,Teardrop,Pod,Land,IPsweep,etc.,categorized as Probing(Prob),Denial of Service(DoS),User to Root(U2R),and Remote to User(R2L)*** anomaly detector is anticipated with the capabilities of a Machine Learning(ML)technique,making use of supervised learning techniques like Logistic Regression(LR),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Random Forest(RF),naïve Bayes(nB),and Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost).The proposed framework has been evaluated by deploying the identified ML algorithm on a Jupyter notebook in Kubeflow to simulate Kubernetes for validation *** classifier has shown better outcomes(99.90%accuracy)than other classifiers in detecting anomalies/intrusions in the containerized environment.

Does dutasteride reduce the bleeding in transurethral resection of the prostate in patients on antiplatelet drugs?

目的制备抗白细胞介素1β(IL-1β)纳米抗体, 并观察其对缺氧小鼠心肌细胞凋亡的影响。方法利用DnA重组技术, 使用pET-16b和pHEn1表达载体构建抗IL-1β纳米抗体的重组质粒(pET-16b-4G6M-VHH、pET-16b-5BVP-VHH、pET-16b-5MVZ-VHH和pHEn1-4G6M-VHH、pHEn1-5BVP-VHH、pHEn1-5MVZ-VHH, 其中VHH为重链单域抗体, 4G6M-VHH、5BVP-VHH、5MVZ-VHH分别为3种抗IL-1β的纳米抗体), 将构建成功的质粒分别转入大肠杆菌Rosetta2(DE3)表达菌中进行诱导表达及镍柱纯化, 用十二烷基硫酸钠-聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳(SDS-PAGE)和Western印迹对表达产物及纯化产物进行鉴定, 并通过酶联免疫吸附试验(ELISA)测定其亲和力。将纯化所得亲和力最高的抗IL-1β纳米抗体(pHEn1-5MVZ-VHH)应用于小鼠HL-1心肌细胞缺氧模型(分为正常对照组、缺氧模型组、空白质粒组及12.5、25.0、50.0 μg/ml pHEn1-5MVZ-VHH处理组), 并检测细胞存活率及凋亡率。结果 SDS-PAGE和Western印迹结果显示, 成功得到相对分子质量约15 000的抗IL-1β纳米抗体;ELISA结果显示, 与pET-16b载体组相比, pHEn1载体组所表达的纳米抗体与IL-1β抗原的亲和力更高(4G6M-VHH组:3.20±0.03比1.20±0.03, Pn1-5MVZ-VHH处理组HL-1细胞活性增加[(75.55±2.23)%比(46.90±2.51)%, Pn1载体均能表达出抗IL-1β纳米抗体, 且pHEn1载体表达的纳米抗体具有更好的抗原亲和作用。此外, pHEn1-5MVZ-VHH治疗可减少缺氧小鼠心肌细胞凋亡。

Corrosion and Scaling Threat in Upstream Oil Operation

Corrosiveness or scaling is an inherent threat to oil operations. The primary cause for this threat is the presence of water having complex geochemical matrix. Unanticipated water production, particularly if it contains unwanted impurities, can significantly impact hydrocarbon production. The current paper discusses the degree of threat posed to oil operation facilities based on the water characteristics. Methodology involved the collection and analysis of water samples from major sources in oil industry such as groundwater, wellheads and seawater. The parameters tested include geochemical, microbiological and pollutants. The lab data was used to develop scaling and corrosion prediction indices such as Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), Ryznar Stability Index (RSI) and Puckorius Scaling Index (PSI). The study indicated varying water chemistry for different sources. Mixing of those waters may lead to ionic saturation and scaling in different facilities. Presence of the SRB and GAB in some water sources also posed threat to water system by forming fouling and corrosion. Seawater used for offshore oilfields water injection to maintain reservoir pressure and improve oil recovery showed scaling tendency, whereas under different reservoir pressure, it can cause corrosion. Some of the samples also had corrosion residuals such as iron, which indicated active corrosion. Current study showed higher alkalinity with high sulfate for one groundwater sample with presence of active corrosion residuals such as dissolved iron and manganese. The study showed positive value for LSI which indicated supersaturation of the water samples with respect to calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and scale forming. Similarly, for RSI and PSI, the value was below six which confirmed the scaling potential for all the samples. Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation: Effects on Motor and non-Motor Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease

Introduction: In the last thirty years, brain neuromodulation techniques have been used as an alternative to pharmacological treatment of neurological disorders. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder leading to bradykinesia, rest tremor, postural changes, and non-motor symptoms such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, pain, and cognitive decline that compromises executive functions (EFs), responsible for the orderly execution of behaviors and tasks of daily life and intentional and directed actions. To this date, a few studies with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) have shown beneficial effects in PD patients concerning specific motor and non-motor symptoms, targeting the motor cortex and/or prefrontal regions. Objective: The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of left prefrontal tDCS across a broad spectrum of motor and non-motor symptoms of PD using established validated scales. Method: Single-blind randomized clinical trial with 18 volunteers with PD, aged between 45 and 80 years (66.1 ± 9.65), who met inclusion and exclusion criteria. Participants were submitted to assessments of motor and non-motor functions employing psychometric scales and tests to evaluate EFs and were randomly divided into two groups: control (sham stimulation) and experimental (active stimulation). All participants were involved in three separate tDCS sessions. The anode was positioned over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the cathode over the right supraorbital region, with a direct current intensity of 2 mA, lasting 20 minutes. At the end of the three sessions, all participants were reassessed. Results: Significant effects of tDCS on non-motor functions were observed for cognition (verbal fluency of actions, clock copy test, appointment by visual confrontation, and verbal memory with immediate free recall) and subjective assessment of sleep quality (overall restlessness and discomfort in the arms and legs at night, leg

Refraction characteristics of phononic crystals

Some of the most interesting refraction prop- erties of phononic crystals are revealed by examining the anti-plane shear waves in doubly periodic elastic composites with unit cells containing rectangular and/or elliptical multi- inclusions. The corresponding band structure, group velocity, and energy-flux vector are calculated using a powerful mixed variational method that accurately and efficiently yields all the field quantities over multiple frequency pass-bands. The background matrix and the inclusions can be anisotropic, each having distinct elastic moduli and mass densities. Equifrequency contours and energy-flux vectors are read- ily calculated as functions of the wave-vector components. By superimposing the energy-flux vectors on equifrequency contours in the plane of the wave-vector components, and supplementing this with a three-dimensional graph of the corresponding frequency surface, a wealth of information is extracted essentially at a glance. This way it is shown that a composite with even a simple square unit cell con- taining a central circular inclusion can display negative or positive energy and phase velocity refractions, or simply performs a harmonic vibration （standing wave）, depending on the frequency and the wave-vector. Moreover, that the same composite when interfaced with a suitable homoge- neous solid can display：（1） negative refraction with negative phase velocity refraction; （2） negative refraction with pos- itive phase velocity refraction; （3） positive refraction with negative phase velocity refraction; （4） positive refraction with positive phase velocity refraction; or even （5） completereflection with no energy transmission, depending on the fre- quency, and direction and the wavelength of the plane-wave that is incident from the homogeneous solid to the interface. Delay-Constrained Optimized Packet Aggregation in High-Speed Wireless networks

High-speed wireless networks such as IEEE 802.11n have been introduced based on IEEE 802.11 to meet the growing demand for high-throughput and multimedia applications. It is known that the medium access control （MAC） efficiency of IEEE 802.11 decreases with increasing the physical rate. To improve efficiency, few solutions have been proposed such as Aggregation to concatenate a number of packets into a larger frame and send it at once to reduce the protocol overhead. Since transmitting larger frames eventuates to dramatic delay and jitter increase in other nodes, bounding the maxi- mum aggregated frame size is important to satisfy delay requirements of especially multimedia applications. In this paper, we propose a scheme called Optimized Packet Aggregation （OPA） which models the network by constrained convex optimization to obtain the optimal aggregation size of each node regarding to delay constraints of other nodes. OPA attains proportionally fair sharing of the channel while satisfying delay constrains. Furthermore, reaching the optimal point is guaranteed in OPA with low complexity. Simulation results show that OPA can successfully bound delay and meet the requirements of nodes with only an insignificant throughput penalty due to limiting the aggregation size even in dynamic conditions.

A stochastic based approach for a new site classification method:application to the Algerian seismic code

Building codes have widely considered the shear wave velocity to make a reliable subsoil seismic classification, based on the knowledge of the mechanical properties of material deposits down to bedrock. This approach has limitations because geophysical data are often very expensive to obtain. Recently, other alternatives have been proposed based on measurements of background noise and estimation of the H/V amplification curve. However, the use of this technique needs a regulatory framework before it can become a realistic site classification procedure. This paper proposes a new formulation for characterizing design sites in accordance with the Algerian seismic building code (RPA99/ver.2003), through transfer functions, by following a stochastic approach combined to a statistical study. For each soil type, the deterministic calculation of the average transfer function is performed over a wide sample of 1-D soil profiles, where the average shear wave (S-W) velocity, Vs, in soil layers is simulated using random field theory. Average transfer functions are also used to calculate average site factors and normalized acceleration response spectra to highlight the amplification potential of each site type, since frequency content of the transfer function is significantly similar to that of the H/V amplification curve. Comparison is done with the RPA99/ver.2003 and Eurocode8 (EC8) design response spectra, respectively. In the absence of geophysical data, the proposed classification approach together with micro-tremor measures can be used toward a better soil classification.

Joint simulation of cross-correlated ore grades and geological domains:an application to mineral resource modeling
