Effects of sublethal piperonyl butoxide （PB） on parasitization of Bemisia tabaci （Gennadius）（Hemiptera： Aleyrodidae） by Encarsia bimaculata Heraty et Polaszek （Hymenoptera： Aphelinidae） were evaluated both in cage and greenhouse experiments. When first, second and third instar B. tabaci nymphs were treated with PB, all but the first instar were significantly prolonged. Data indicated that sublethal PB could improve E. bimaculata parasitism rates without influencing parasitoid eclosion rates. Prolonged development increased rates of parasitism by E. bimaculata, from 17.6% to 24.7% in cages, presumably by increasing the duration of host exposure. sublethal PB combined with E. bimaculata as an integrated approach to control B. tabaci was evaluated using life table parameters under greenhouse conditions. Indices of population trend （I） calculated from life tables were estimated at 4.6 for B. tabaci exposed to PB and parasitoids compared to 14.1 with parasitoids alone and 23.5 in un- treated controls. The results showed that after PB was sprayed and parasitoids introduced, development ofB. tabaci was delayed and the peak of each stage was postponed. The older nymphal stage had highest mortality, primarily due to mortality caused by parasitism by E. bimaculata.

烟粉虱B生物型的若虫、皮蜕及其成虫的提取物作为一种利它素信息源 ,在室内对其在双斑蚜小蜂寻找寄主取食、寄生行为的影响进行了生物测定。烟粉虱的若虫、皮蜕及其成虫分别用正己烷、乙醇和无菌水进行粗提。研究结果发现 ,双斑蚜小蜂在处理区寻找寄主停留的时间高于对照区。在处理区 ,双斑蚜小蜂行动活泼 ,对利它素源表现出高的正趋向性和选择性。对于同一利它素源、同一提取介质的两种不同浓度 ,双斑蚜小蜂在若虫水提取物的高浓度区停留的时间(111 2 3s)最长 ,与在低浓度区的停留时间差异显著 ;而在烟粉虱皮蜕及其成虫的水、正己烷和乙醇提取物处理区 ,不同浓度的提取物对蚜小蜂停留的时间影响差异不显著。本研究的结果表明 ,利它素可以增加蚜小蜂寻找寄主的效率。

蚜小蜂Bemisia tabaci是烟粉虱的重要天敌,其中双斑恩蚜小蜂Encarsia bimaculata,丽蚜小蜂***以及浅黄恩蚜小蜂***是国内烟粉虱寄生蜂3个优势种。本研究以采自中国华南、华东、华北、西南地区以及马来西亚、埃及的***、***和***3个优势种的8个不同地理种群为研究对象,对其28s rRNA D2和D3扩展区序列进行了测定和分析。结果表明:Encarsia属的恩蚜小蜂其28s rRNA D2和D3序列在种间水平上高度保守;与丽蚜小蜂相比,双斑蚜小蜂与浅黄恩蚜小蜂在遗传关系上更为接近。依据28s rRNA和D2序列的系统发育分析结果显示,同一种的蚜小蜂其种内也存在一定的遗传分化,比如中国广东的浅黄恩蚜小蜂种群与澳大利亚、西班牙、埃及和埃塞俄比亚的浅黄恩蚜小蜂种群接近,而与泰国的种群的亲缘关系则较远。在系统发育树上,来自不同国家的(苏丹、埃及和危地马拉以及澳大利亚)的双斑蚜小蜂种群聚集在同一分支上;同时,来自中国衡水和昆明的丽蚜小蜂种群也与来自美国的丽蚜小蜂种群聚集在一起,却与埃及的种群相距较远。对造成这种同种寄生蜂不同种群之间在遗传距离和地理距离不对称的原因进行了探讨。

This study aimed to set a computer-integrated multichannel spectral imaging system as a high-throughput phenotyping tool for the analysis of individual cowpea seeds harvested at different developmental stages. The changes in germination capacity and variations in moisture, protein and different sugars during twelve stages of seed development from 10 to 32 days after anthesis were nondestructively monitored. Multispectral data at 20 discrete wavelengths in the ultraviolet, visible and near infrared regions were extracted from individual seeds and then modelled using partial least squares regression and linear discriminant analysis(LDA) models. The developed multivariate models were accurate enough for monitoring all possible changes occurred in moisture, protein and sugar contents with coefficients of determination in prediction R^(2) of 0.93, 0.80 and 0.78 and root mean square errors in prediction(RMsEP) of 6.045%, 2.236% and 0.890%, respectively. The accuracy of PLs models in predicting individual sugars such as verbascose and stachyose was reasonable with R~2 of 0.87 and 0.87 and RMsEP of 0.071%and 0.485%, respectively;but for the prediction of sucrose and raffinose the accuracy was relatively limited with R^(2) of 0.24 and 0.66 and RMsEP of 0.567% and 0.045%, respectively. The developed LDA model was robust in classifying the seeds based on their germination capacity with overall correct classification of96.33% and 95.67% in the training and validation datasets, respectively. With these levels of accuracy,the proposed multichannel spectral imaging system designed for single seeds could be an effective choice as a rapid screening and non-destructive technique for identifying the ideal harvesting time of cowpea seeds based on their chemical composition and germination capacity. The functional response of Cydonia vicina nilotica Muls. （Coleoptera： Coccinellidae） to six densities of Aphis craccivora Koch （Homoptera： Aphididae） nymphs on broad bean （Viciafaba Linn.） was investigated in the laboratory. A linear relationship between the rate of consumption and prey density was observed with r^2 values between 0.58 and 0.97. Plotting prey density against prey killed by four larval instars, and adult males and females of C. vicina nilotica fit well with the type Ⅱ model of Holling＇ s disc equation. Adult females consumed the highest number of prey, followed by fourth instars and adult males. Based on the functional response data, the model predicts a maximum of 144.9, 116.3, 86.2, 80.0, 72.5 and 20.0 nymphs to be consumed per day by an individual adult female, fourth instar, adult male, third, second and first instars, respectively. The differences in the responses of the predator to aphid densities are discussed.

Introduction: In the last thirty years, brain neuromodulation techniques have been used as an alternative to pharmacological treatment of neurological disorders. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder leading to bradykinesia, rest tremor, postural changes, and non-motor symptoms such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, pain, and cognitive decline that compromises executive functions (EFs), responsible for the orderly execution of behaviors and tasks of daily life and intentional and directed actions. To this date, a few studies with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCs) have shown beneficial effects in PD patients concerning specific motor and non-motor symptoms, targeting the motor cortex and/or prefrontal regions. Objective: The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of left prefrontal tDCs across a broad spectrum of motor and non-motor symptoms of PD using established validated scales. Method: single-blind randomized clinical trial with 18 volunteers with PD, aged between 45 and 80 years (66.1 ± 9.65), who met inclusion and exclusion criteria. Participants were submitted to assessments of motor and non-motor functions employing psychometric scales and tests to evaluate EFs and were randomly divided into two groups: control (sham stimulation) and experimental (active stimulation). All participants were involved in three separate tDCs sessions. The anode was positioned over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the cathode over the right supraorbital region, with a direct current intensity of 2 mA, lasting 20 minutes. At the end of the three sessions, all participants were reassessed. Results: significant effects of tDCs on non-motor functions were observed for cognition (verbal fluency of actions, clock copy test, appointment by visual confrontation, and verbal memory with immediate free recall) and subjective assessment of sleep quality (overall restlessness and discomfort in the arms and legs at night, leg

The influences of the convective boundary condition and heat generation/absorption on magnetohydro- dynamic boundary layer flow of a Maxwell fluid over a stretching surface in the presence of nanoparticles have been numerically investigated. In the model, the physical mechanisms responsible for Brownian motion and thermophoresis with a chemical reaction are considered. similarity equations are derived and then solved using the shooting method with the fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration scheme, The rates of heat and mass transfer are enhanced with a destructive chemical reaction and Blot number. The opposite influence is found with a generative chemical reaction in the presence of Brownian motion and the thermophoretic property.
