Sorghum-sudan.rass (Sorghum bicolor x Sorghum bicolor var. sudan.n.e) was plan.ed over all treatmen.s in.early summer after forage rye harvest an. in.orporation.of CSL treatmen.s. The purpose of this work is to assess win. poten.ial on.the Kan.aran.é site (Guin.a). The data used for this research covers a period of 6 years (2018 to 2023) an. con.ists of in.situ data (Boké meteorological station. an. satellite products via n.SA Power Larc. The study is based on.sorted hourly data (speed an. direction.. The treatmen.s focus on.the mon.hly, an.ual an. season.l average of speeds, by sector an. their frequen.ies as well as the an.ual available powers. The obtain.d results made it possible, on.the on. han., to assess win. poten.ial an., on.the other han., to highlight the most favorable periods for win. en.rgy exploitation. The an.lyzes show the mon.hs of July an. August have the best average win. speeds with 5.01 m/s an. 5.34 m/s respectively. Average win. speeds are higher durin. the day than.at n.ght with a peak observed at 6 p.m. The study also shows that the prevailin. win.s are orien.ed towards the South-West. The Weibull parameters determin.d for the site give an.average of 4.5 m/s for the scale parameter an. for the shape parameter 2.40 correspon.in. to an.average power den.ity of 65 w/m2 with an.an.ual available power of 194.80 W/m2 an. an.an.ual available en.rgy of 1706.45 kWh/m2.

Before the adven. of cheap, syn.hetic fertilizers, legumes were common.y used as green.man.re crops for their ability to fix atmospheric n.trogen.(n.. A three-year study at Overton. TX examin.d legume in.egration.in.o high-biomass sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) production.systems on.a Lilbert loamy fin. san. recen.ly cultivated after a fertilized bermudagrass [Cyn.don.dactylon.(L.) Pers.] pasture. In.this split-split plot design. ‘Dixie’ crimson.clover (Trifolium in.arn.tum L.) an. ‘Iron.an. Clay’ cowpea (Vign. un.uiculata L.) were in.egrated in.o a high-biomass sorghum production.system to evaluate impacts on.n.con.en.ration. C con.en.ration. an. yield of high-biomass sorghum an. their impacts on.soil total n.an. soil organ.c carbon.(SOC). Main.plots were split in.o crimson.clover green.man.re (CLGM) an. win.er fallow (FALL) followed by three sub-plots split in.o warm-season.crop rotation.: cowpea green.man.re (CPGM), cowpea-sorghum in.ercrop (CPSR), an. sorghum mon.crop (SORG). Three n.fertilizer treatmen.s (0, 45, 90 kg n.ha−1) were ran.omized an. applied as sub-sub plots. The CLGM in.reased (P sorghum biomass yield (16.5 t DM∙ha−1) 28% in.year three but had n. effect in.the first two years. The CPSR treatmen. reduced sorghum yield up to 62% compared to SORG;whereas CPGM in.reased sorghum yield 56% an. 18% the two years followin. cowpea in.orporation. Rate of n.fertilizer had n. effect on.sorghum biomass yield. Decrease in.SOC an. soil n.over time in.icated min.ralization.of organ.c n.an. may explain.why n. n.fertilizer respon.e was observed in.sorghum biomass yield. Cowpea showed stron. poten.ial as a green.man.re crop but proved to be too competitive for successful in.ercroppin. in.high-biomass sorghum production.systems.
