A simple and rapid protocol for the synthesis of polystyrene-graphene oxide nanocomposite （PS/GONC） was achieved for first time using an in situ polymerization method. PS/GONC modified glassy carbon electrode （PS/GONC/GCE） has been employed as an efficient nanosensor for the electrooxidation of histamine. The PS/GONC/GCE is used as an electrochemical nanosensors for monitoring histamine using differential pulse voltammetry techniques （detection limit 0.03 μmol/L）. In addition, the prepared nanosensor was successfully applied to determine histamine in fish samples, yielding satisfactory results. The spiked recoveries were in the range of 98.2%-103.1%.

A simple and efficient procedure for the preparation of aryl- 14-H-dibenzo [aj]xanthenes by a one-pot condensation reaction of 2-naphthol and aryl aldehydes, in the presence of silica supported sodium hydrogen sulfate （NaHSO4/SiO2） as a catalyst and in the absence of solvent has been developed. The present method offers several advantages such as excellent yields, short reaction time （10-30min）, mild condition, simple work-up, and the use of a cheap and environmentally friendly catalyst with remarkable reusability.

Low toxic graphene quantum dot（GQD） was synthesized by pyrolyzing citric acid in alkaline solution and characterized by ultraviolet-visible（UV-vis） spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction（XRD）,atomic force microscopy（AFM）,spectrofluorimetery and dynamic light scattering（DLS） techniques.GQD was used for electrode modification and electro-oxidation of doxorubicin（DOX） at low potential.A substantial decrease in the overvoltage（- 0.56 V） of the DOX oxidation reaction（compared to ordinary electrodes） was observed using GQD as coating of glassy carbon electrode（GCE）.Differential pulse voltammetry was used to evaluate the analytical performance of DOX in the presence of phosphate buffer solution（pH 4.0） and good limit of detection was obtained by the proposed sensor.Such ability of GQD to promote the DOX electron-transfer reaction suggests great promise for its application as an electrochemical sensor.

catalyst for the synthesis of 14-aryl- 14-H-dibenzo[aj]xanthenes Silica supported ammonium dihydrogen phosphate （NH4H2PO4/SiO2） is found to be a recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for a rapid and efficient synthesis of various aryl-14-H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthenes with excellent yields under solvent-free conditions. Introduction: The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 affected all the megacities of the world and made the mental health and lifestyle of people paralyzed. According to different studies, such difficulties were different in scale in different cities depending on the demographic attributes of the people. This phenomenon has created the essence of the current study to examine the health conditions in terms of their mental health, lifestyle, and demographic attributes during and immediate past of the COVID-19 era. Method: It was a cross-sectional study covering the people of Dhaka City Corporation. For this purpose, a multistage sampling method was applied, under which the respondents were selected randomly and a self-administered structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was developed based on the DASS 21, as it was suitable to measure the components of mental health in the form of depression, anxiety, and stress. Descriptive analysis and cross-tabulation were applied to find out the association between dependent and independent variables, whereas, a chi-square test was performed to examine the hypothesis. Finally, multivariate analysis was done to find out the risk factors. Three logistic regression models were developed for three dependent variables. Result: The findings of the analysis revealed that the lifestyle of people had severely influenced the components of their mental health conditions during and immediate past of COVID-19 in the Dhaka City Corporation, which varies to some extent depending on the demographic attributes of those. Conclusion: The above findings are statistically significant enough to conclude about the essence of taking preventive measures regarding mental health issues in the future. However, the limitations of this study-keeping it within the urban areas and the educated people, have also created the venue for future researchers to move with their research endeavors in the rural areas nationwide and thus generalize the results.

In this paper,the non-harmonic resonance of Bernoulli viscoelastic beams,Kirchhoff viscoelastic plates,Timoshenko viscoelastic beams,and Mindlin viscoelastic plates subjected to time-dependent exponentially decreasing transverse distributed load is investigated for the first time.The constitutive equations are expressed utilizing Boltzmann integral law with a constant bulk modulus.The displacement vector is approximated by employing the separation of variables method.The Laplace transformation is used to transfer equations from the time domain to the Laplace domain and vice versa.The novel point of the proposed method is to express,prove and calculate the critical time in which the displacement will be several times the displacement at time zero.In addition,this new method calculates the maximum deflection at the critical time,explicitly and exactly,without any need to follow the time-displacement curve with a low computational cost.Additionally,the proposed method introduces the critical range of time so that the responses are greater than the responses at time zero.

The combination of urbanization and global warming leads to urban overheating and compounds the frequency and intensity of extreme heat events due to climate change.Yet,the risk of urban overheating can be mitigated by urban green-blue-grey infrastructure(GBGI),such as parks,wetlands,and engineered greening,which have the potential to effectively reduce summer air temperatures.Despite many reviews,the evidence bases on quantified GBGI cooling benefits remains partial and the practical recommendations for implementation are unclear.This systematic literature review synthesizes the evidence base for heat mitigation and related co-benefits,identifies knowledge gaps,and proposes recommendations for their implementation to maximize their benefits.After screening 27,486 papers,202 were reviewed,based on 51 GBGI types categorized under 10 main divisions.Certain GBGI(green walls,parks,street trees)have been well researched for their urban cooling capabilities.However,several other GBGI have received negligible(zoological garden,golf course,estuary)or minimal(private garden,allotment)attention.The most efficient air cooling was observed in botanical gardens(5.0±3.5℃),wetlands(4.9±3.2℃),green walls(4.1±4.2℃),street trees(3.8±3.1℃),and vegetated balconies(3.8±2.7℃).Under changing climate conditions(2070–2100)with consideration of RCP8.5,there is a shift in climate subtypes,either within the same climate zone(e.g.,Dfa to Dfb and Cfb to Cfa)or across other climate zones(e.g.,Dfb[continental warm-summer humid]to BSk[dry,cold semi-arid]and Cwa[temperate]to Am[tropical]).These shifts may result in lower efficiency for the current GBGI in the future.Given the importance of multiple services,it is crucial to balance their functionality,cooling performance,and other related co-benefits when planning for the future GBGI.This global GBGI heat mitigation inventory can assist policymakers and urban planners in prioritizing effective interventions to reduce the risk of urban overheating,filling research gaps,and promoting community resi

Novel graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheet/Bi_(5)O_(7)Br/NH_(2)-MIL-88B(Fe)photocatalysts(denoted as GCN-NSh/Bi_(5)O_(7)Br/FeMOF,in which MOF is metal–organic framework)with double S-scheme heterojunctions were synthesized by a facile solvothermal route.The resultant materials were examined by X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),photoluminescence spectroscopy(PL),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectroscopy(UV-vis DRS),photocurrent density,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)analyses.After the integration of Fe-MOF with GCN-NSh/Bi_(5)O_(7)Br,the removal constant of tetracycline over the optimal GCN-NSh/Bi_(5)O_(7)Br/Fe-MOF(15wt%)nanocomposite was promoted 33 times compared with that of the pristine GCN.The GCN-NSh/Bi_(5)O_(7)Br/Fe-MOF(15wt%)nanocomposite showed superior photoactivity to azithromycin,metronidazole,and cephalexin removal that was 36.4,20.2,and 14.6 times higher than that of pure GCN,respectively.Radical quenching tests showed that·O_(2)-and h+mainly contributed to the elimination reaction.In addition,the nanocomposite maintained excellent activity after 4 successive cycles.Based on the developed n–n heterojunctions among n-GCN-NSh,n-Bi_(5)O_(7)Br,and n-Fe-MOF semiconductors,the double S-scheme charge transfer mechanism was proposed for the destruction of the selected antibiotics.

Reduced web section(RWS)connections can prevent lateral-torsional buckling and web local buckling experienced by reduced beam section(RBS)connections.In RWS connections,removing a large portion of web can result in shear demand intolerance induced to plastic hinge region.The present study aims to resolve the problems of RBS and RWS connections by proposing two new connections:(1)RBS with stiffener(RBS-ST)and(2)RBS with reduced web(RW-RBS)connections.In the first connection(RBS-ST),a series of stiffeners is connected to the beam in the reduced flange region,while the second connection(RW-RBS)considers both a reduction in flanges and a reduction in web.Five beam-to-column joints with three different connections,including RBS,RBS-ST,and RW-RBS connections were considered and simulated in ABAQUS.According to the results,RBS-ST and RW-RBS connections can decrease or even eliminate lateral-torsional buckling and web local buckling in RBS connection.It is important to note that RWRBS connection is more effective in long beams with smaller shear demands in the plastic hinge region.Moreover,results showed that RBS and RW-RBS connections experienced strength degradation at 4%to 5%drift,while no strength degradation was observed in RBS-ST connection until 8%drift.

This work aims to find the origin and connection of the surface,near-wake,and far-wake structures in the flow encompassing a high-rise building for a high Reynolds number.The origin and interconnection of the stream-wise tip vortices,with the other components of the wake,is analysed in this study for the current scenario.The Unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations(URANS)together with the realizable k-εturbulence model have been used in this investigation to study the turbulent wake flow following a ground-surface-attached square shape building.A moderately big obstacle aspect ratio of 4,a Reynolds number of 12,000,and a thin evolving boundary layer thickness have been used in the flow modeling.The designed flow addresses the reversed-flows at the outlet during computation to improve the accuracy of the realizable k-e model.The Reynolds stress components are retrieved using the Boussinesq approach.The wake’s principal compositions,including span-wise-side eddies and area of high stream-wise vorticity in the uppermost portion of the wake,are illustrated by both three-dimensional(3D)representations and planner projections of the mean flow distributions.A braided vortex formation,composed of asymmetric hairpin vortexes,is witnessed in the far-wake area.The association of the near-wake vortex structures with the far-wake and near-wall flow,which is associated with the flow strengths,is also discussed.In this investigation,few areas of large stream-wise vorticity magnitude,like tip vortexes,are correlated to the 3D curving of the fluid motion,and tip vortices did not continuously reach to the free end part of the building.The 3D fluid motion interpretation,which combined several measurements of the flow distribution encompassing the cylinder,shows that the time-averaged near-wake structures are formed of two segments of distinct source and section of dominance.Furthermore,addressing reversed-flow during computation shows notable improvement in the results.
