The ultimate aim of using spatial datasets and spatial data modelling is focused on enabling a sustainable environment by bringing the public policies into practice. The consequence will be sustainable spatially aware strategic planning for all levels of Australian government. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are the platform that can serve this aim provided that model, current process and spatial datasets are fit for purpose. To bring public policy into practice a broad range of knowledge from different disciplines is needed. Most decision making processes are pressured in terms of time and driving forces and also the process is beyond the knowledge of individuals in the various disciplines. There is a need for immediate uptake models and tools which are relevant to the target subject that will facilitate this decision making process. This paper focuses on realizing the utility in spatial data and spatial data handling in order to help climate change adaptation programs at local government level. Web-based mapping tools can assist planners prepare for the changing climate conditions in Bass Coast Shire Council. The GIS team has gathered data from various climate research organizations to understand projections of what different climate scenarios might look like over the next 100-year period. From this website demo it is hoped that the user will understand how the tool works, background information on different GIS platforms, access to interactive mapping, online geospatial analysis tools, videos, open source resource, sea level tools, modelling, 3D visualization and direct download access to various planning and natural resource data sets relating to environment management. Some results from our elevation data analyses through these Web map visualization tools are provided.

Sea Level Rise (SLR) above the Mean Sea Level (MSL) is more likely to cause a significant risk to the coastal regions. This research explores the potential impact of sea level rise, due to climate change, on coastal areas. It examines the impact of sea level rise on Basrah city and adjacent cities in Iraq. A digital elevation model (DEM) was used to create a model of Potentially Inundated Areas, manipulated and processed in Geographical Information System version 10.7 (ArcGIS 10.7). Through this model, the impact of sea level rise was assessed on the surface area. After the susceptible areas were delineated, it was estimated that at worst case scenario of 5 m sea level rise will impact Basrah city by losing 38 percent of its total surface area.

The electronic medical record is an essential technology tool to improve the quality of care. In present study we reported on the design and feasibility of electronic medical records in Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Ward. Our main goal was documentation with the least possible missed data, evidence-based decision making, documented active patient follow up and increasing patient’s satisfaction. The Electronic Registry System of Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (Vali e Asr Hospital, Tehran, Iran) was designed in mid 2014 and tested till March 2015. The software description was designed based on previous paper questionnaire used in this ward. The electronic questionnaires were filled in upon hospitalization and thereafter including follow ups. The questionnaire included 10 demographic and 15 main questions. A digital analog scale (1 - 10) in each part quantified the effects of problem on patient’s quality of life and also the effects of interventions as well. Entered information in each step was available for those with defined access. Reporting design was dependent on the needed data. Our supervised data entry was a guarantee to the quality of information with the least errors. Access to all para clinical data made rapid and evidence-based decision making. Patient satisfaction was achieved because of unified approach. The most interesting part was access to evidence-based results and data to be used in research projects. This study showed that EMRs in Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Wards could provide valuable information, improve the quality of care and increase patient’s satisfaction.

Understanding urban wetland ecosystem services structure allows managers to base restoration efforts on multiple user *** Creek can provide the coupled function of improving water quality and mitigating floods through delayed stormwater *** is fundamental to identify areas surrounded by water for the safety of individual should in case the water level raise beyond a reasonable doubt and might cause a *** many years,the Ary Creek catchment in Inverloch has been flooding and causing great problems for the inhabitants as well as the *** procedure is to develop models of the area around the catchment or watershed using Victorian Coastal LiDAR and other input data from the GIS(geographic information system).This study uses the real-time simulation in ArcSWAT—ArcGIS 10.3 and 3D in ArcScene 10.3,and the variables obtained from the soil and water assessment tool ArcSWAT such as the land use,soil and slope are the parameters measured to induce the *** certain portions of the Hydrologic response unit HRU,land use,soil or slope is changed due to temporal adjustment and climate change,then the model can predict zones of low,moderate and high flood *** 3D simulations appear to produce a visual model for decision-making,planning,management,and *** simulation helps in determining the extent of the flood by using animation.

Evaluation of Parents’ Awareness and Knowledge about Problems and Issues Related to Their Premature Infants in an Iranian Hospital

Premature infant is an infant who was born before the end of 37th weeks of pregnancy. Approximately 9.6% of infants are premature and they can be at risk for hospitalization. This study has done for evaluation of awareness and knowledge of parents about problems of premature infants in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This was a descriptive study with 160 parents whose premature infants were admitted to NICU (Tehran-Iran, 2009-2011). Data were collected by a questionnaire for evaluation of awareness and knowledge of parents about problems of prematurity, and then analyzed by using descriptive analytic statistical methods and SPSS software. Based on the results, there was a significant relation between age and the total score of questionnaire (P = 0.022, R = 0.18). Mothers had higher awareness and knowledge than fathers (P < 0.05). The most awareness in parents was about doing of hygienic principle when they entered to NICU and about the importance of regularly and continuous attendance in ward. Awareness and knowledge of parents about problems of their premature infant were related to their age and being a mother or father. Parents had little knowledge about some NICU principles and premature infant’s needs and care.

In this work, the Micropolar fluid flow and heat and mass transfer past a horizontal nonlinear stretching sheet through porous medium is studied including the Soret-Dufour effect in the presence of suction. A uniform magnetic field is applied transversely to the direction of the flow. The governing differential equations of the problem have been transformed into a system of non-dimensional differential equations which are solved numerically by Nachtsheim-Swigert iteration technique along with the sixth order Runge-Kutta integration scheme. The velocity, microrotation, temperature and concentration profiles are presented for different parameters. The present problem finds significant applications in hydromagnetic control of conducting polymeric sheets, magnetic materials processing, etc.

The Incidence of Respiratory Distress Syndrome among Preterm Infants Admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: A Retrospective Study

Background: Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) or hyaline membrane disease (HMD) is the most common cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality in preterm infants. We aimed to determine the frequency of RDS among 3 groups of preterm infants and the value of some related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive analytical investigation was carried out in the NICU ward of Akbarabadi Hospital (Tehran-Iran) during spring 2011. Newborns’ data were collected and assessed by using their hospital medical records. Seventy-three preterm infants with gestational age < 34 weeks were hospitalized in the NICU. All participants were divided into 3 groups: extremely preterm (<28 weeks), very preterm (28 to <32 weeks) and moderate preterm (32 to 34 weeks). Frequency of RDS and some related factors were compared among 3 groups. Results: RDS was observed in 65.6% of all participants;however frequency of RDS was not different between three groups. An inversely correlation was found between gestational age and mortality rate (p = 0.05). In regard to Betamethasone administration prior to birth, this interval was significantly longer in alive neonates in comparison to infants who died (p < 0.05). Conclusion: RDS was frequent in preterm neonates with gestational age < 32 weeks. Time of Betamethasone administration prior to birth can significantly influence on neonatal mortality rate.

Numerical Solution of Advection Diffusion Equation Using Semi-Discretization Scheme

Numerical diffusion and oscillatory behavior characteristics are averted applying numerical solutions of advection-diffusion equation are themselves immensely sophisticated. In this paper, two numerical methods have been used to solve the advection diffusion equation. We use an explicit finite difference scheme for the advection diffusion equation and semi-discretization on the spatial variable for advection-diffusion equation yields a system of ordinary differential equations solved by Euler’s method. Numerical assessment has been executed with specified initial and boundary conditions, for which the exact solution is known. We compare the solutions of the advection diffusion equation as well as error analysis for both schemes.

Geochemistry of Host and Altered Rocks in the Nahran Area, Tarom Zone (NW Iran): Implication for Determining of Mineralization Processes in the Alteration Environment

The Nahran area is located in the Northeast of Zanjan in the Northwest of Iran. This area with 20,000 km2 is part of the Tarom volcanic-plutonic zone which lies between the longitudes 49°7'7.8"E and 36°41'25.74"E near to the Nahran village. The Nahran altered zone is part of large-scale syncline, which is oriented from Sirdan to Altinkosh with an axial length of 9 km. A systematic study of petrographical and geochemical data of Nahran samples reveals they are andesite, trachyandesite to dacite composition and have metaluminous to peraluminous and calc-alkaline affinity. Four alteration zones of propylitic, medium and advanced argillic and silicific zones could be identified in the area. According to our finding, combination of both supergene and hypogene process has an effective role in the development of alteration in the Nahran alteration zone.
