Data-Driven Decision-Making f.r Bank TargetMarketing Using Supervised Learning Classif.ers on Imbalanced Big Data

Integrating machine learning and data mining is crucial f.r processing big data and extracting valuable insights to enhance decision-making. However, imbalanced target variables within big data present technical challenges that hinder the perf.rmance of.supervised learning classif.ers on key evaluation metrics, limiting their overall ef.ectiveness. This study presents a comprehensive review of.both common and recently developed Supervised Learning Classif.ers (SLCs) and evaluates their perf.rmance in data-driven decision-making. The evaluation uses various metrics, with a particular f.cus on the Harmonic Mean Score (f.1 score) on an imbalanced real-world bank target marketing dataset. The f.ndings indicate that grid-search random f.rest and random-search random f.rest excel in Precision and area under the curve, while Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) outperf.rms other traditional classif.ers in terms of.f.1 score. Employing oversampling methods to address the imbalanced data shows signif.cant perf.rmance improvement in XGBoost, delivering superior results across all metrics, particularly when using the SMOTE variant known as the BorderlineSMOTE2 technique. The study concludes several key f.ctors f.r ef.ectively addressing the challenges of.supervised learning with imbalanced datasets. These f.ctors include the importance of.selecting appropriate datasets f.r training and testing, choosing the right classif.ers, employing ef.ective techniques f.r processing and handling imbalanced datasets, and identif.ing suitable metrics f.r perf.rmance evaluation. Additionally, f.ctors also entail the utilisation of.ef.ective exploratory data analysis in conjunction with visualisation techniques to yield insights conducive to data-driven decision-making. © 2024 The Authors. Hybrid nanof.uids are remarkable f.nctioning liquids that are intended to reduce the energy loss while maximizing the heat *** the involvement of.suction and nonlinear thermal radiation ef.ects,this study attempted to explore the energy transmission f.atures of.the inclined magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)stagnation f.ow of.CNTs-hybrid nanof.uid across the nonlinear permeable stretching or shrinking *** work also included some noteworthy f.atures like chemical reactions,variable molecular dif.usivity,quadratic convection,viscous dissipation,velocity slip and heat omission *** appropriate similarity components,the model equations were modif.ed to ODEs and computed by using the HAM *** impact of.various relevant f.ow characteristics on movement,heat and concentration prof.les was investigated and plotted on a *** various model f.ctors,the signif.cance of.drag f.iction,heat and mass transf.r rate were also computed in tabular and graphical *** leads to the conclusion that such f.ctors have a considerable impact on the dynamics of.f.uid as well as other engineering measurements of.***,viscous f.rces are dominated by increasing the values of._(p),δ_(m)andδ_(q),and as a result,f.ξ)accelerates while the opposite trend is observed f.r M andφ.The drag f.iction is boosted by the augmentation M,λ_(p)andφ,but the rate of.heat transf.r *** to our f.ndings,hybrid nanoliquid ef.ects dominate that of.ordinary nanof.uid in terms of.f.ξ),Θ(ξ)andφ(ξ)*** HAM and the numerical technique(shooting method)were f.und to be in good agreement.

In vitro Selection f.r f.sarium Wilt Resistance in Gladiolus

Cormels pieces of.f.ur f.sarium susceptible Gladiolus cultivars （f.iendship, Peter Pears, Victor Borge and Novalux） f.rmed f.iable calli when cultured in vitro on Murashige and Skoog basal medium containing various concentrations of.auxin and cytokinin. The f.iable calli established cell suspensions. Plantlet regeneration was obtained f.om the control callus, control cell suspension derived callus and in vitro selected f.sarium oxysporum Schlecht. resistant cell-lines of.f.iendship. The in vitro cormlets showed 85-95% germination af.er breaking dormancy of.8 weeks at 4℃. Cell suspensions of.all f.ur Gladiolus cultivars were f.und to be highly sensitive to f.saric acid. Gradual increase in f.saric acid concentrations to the cell-suspension cultures decreased cell growth considerably. One albino plant was f.und f.om the second generation of.the in vitro selected cell line of.f.iendship. The albino plant was f.und to be highly susceptible to f. oxysporum. The cormlets of.all in vitro selected cell lines of.f.iendship were inoculated with a conidial suspension of.the f. oxysporum bef.re planting and were also sprayed with the same spore suspension f.r f.rther characterization when the height of.plants was about 6cm. The f.ur selected cell lines showed the same response whether or not they were inoculated with conidia of.the f. oxysporum. Plantlets of.all of.the selected cell lines exhibited signif.cant growth as compared with the control af.er application of.conidia of.the f. oxysporum.

Mass Transf.r： a Deciding f.ctor f.r the Multiplicity of.an Event in Deep Inelastic Collisions

Intermediate stage of.the three and f.ur-pronged events is investigated in the reaction ^208Pb＋^197Au at beam energy 11.67 MeV/u. Multiprong events are analysed numerically using an empirical mass-dependent velocityrauge relation. Using the measured three-dimensional coordinates of.correlated tracks, it is possible to determine the quantities such as mass transf.r and total kinetic energy loss. These quantities are then used to study the intermediate stage of.the reaction. It has been observed that mass transf.r and total kinetic energy loss at the f.rst step of.the reaction decides the multiplicity of.an event at the second stage of.the sequential f.ssion process.

Impacts of.cadmium addition on the alteration of.microbial community and transport of.antibiotic resistance genes in oxytetracycline contaminated soil

The large-scale development in livestock f.ed industry has increased the chances of.antibiotics and heavy metals contamination in the *** f.te of.antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)and microbial community in heavy metals and antibiotic contaminated soil is still *** this study,we investigated the ef.ect of.cadmium(Cd)addition on the transport of.ARGs,microbial community and human pathogenic bacteria in oxytetracycline(OTC)contaminated *** showed that the addition of.OTC signif.cantly increased the abundance of.ARGs and intI1 in the soil and lettuce *** addition of.Cd to OTC treated soil f.rther increased the abundance and translocation of.ARGs and ***,Cd promoted the transf.r of.potential human pathogenic bacteria(HPB)into lettuce *** with O10 treatment,the addition of.Cd decreased the concentration of.OTC in soil and lettuce tissue,but slightly increased the f.esh weight of.lettuce *** analysis indicated that bacterial community succession is a major f.ctor in ARGs *** analysis indicated that the main host bacteria of.ARGs were mainly derived f.om *** analysis showed that intI1 was signif.cantly correlated with tetG,tetC,sul1,sul2,erm X,and ***,potential HPB(Clostridium,and Burkholderia)was signif.cantly correlated with intI1 and eight ARGs(tetG,tetC,tetW,tetX,sul1,sul2,ermX,and ermQ.).The f.ndings of.this study suggest that the addition of.heavy metals to agricultural f.elds must be considered in order to reduce the transf.r of.ARGs in the soil and crops.

Error rate perf.rmance of.Hybrid QAM-f.K in Of.M systems exhibiting low PAPR

Multicarrier transmission systems like orthogonal f.equency division multiplexing （Of.M） support high data rate and generally require no equalization at the receiver, making them simple and ef.icient. This paper studies the design and perf.rmance analysis of.a hybrid modulation system derived f.om multif.equency and MQAM signals, employed in Of.M. This modulation scheme has better bit error rate （BER） perf.rmance and exhibits low PAPR. The proposed hybrid modulator reduces PAPR while keeping the Of.M transceiver design simple, as it does not require any side inf.rmation or a little side inf.rmation （only one bit） to be sent and is ef.icient f.r arbitrary number of.subcarriers. The results of.the implementations are compared with those of.conventional Of.M system.

Study of.the geomagnetic f.eld's regional gradients in Chinese continent using three-dimensional surf.ce Spline model

We combined domestic ground-based and satellite magnetic measurements to create a regional three-dimensional surf.ce Spline(3DSS)gradient model of.the main geomagnetic f.eld over the Chinese *** improve the precision of.the model,we considered the data gap between the ground and satellite *** compared and analyzed the results of.the Taylor polynomial,surf.ce Spline,and CHAOS-6(the CHAMP,?rsted and SAC-C model of.Earth’s magnetic f.eld)gradient *** showed that the gradients in the south-north and east-west directions of.the f.ur models were *** 3DSS model was able to express not only gradients at dif.erent altitudes,but also average gradients inside the research *** two Spline models were able to capture more inf.rmation on gradient anomalies than were the f.tted *** local anomalies were observed in northern Xinjiang,Beijing,and the junction area between Jiangsu and Zhejiang,and the total intensity f.decreased whereas the altitude *** gradient decreased by 21.69%in the south-north direction and increased by 11.78%in the east-west *** addition,the altitude gradient turned f.om negative to positive while the altitude *** Spline model and the two f.tted models dif.ered mainly in the f.eld sources they expressed and the modeling theory.

An ab initio investigation of.vibrational, thermodynamic, and optical properties of.Sc_2AlC MAX compound

The structural vibrational, thermodynamical, and optical properties of.potentially technologically important, weakly coupled MAX compound, Sc2 Al C are calculated using density f.nctional theory(Df.). The structural properties of.ScAlC are compared with the results reported earlier. The vibrational, thermodynamical, and optical properties are theoretically estimated f.r the f.rst time. The phonon dispersion curve is calculated and the dynamical stability of.this compound is investigated. The optical and acoustic modes are observed clearly. We calculate the Helmholtz f.ee energy(f., internal energy(E), entropy(S), and specif.c heat capacity(Cv) f.om the phonon density of.states. Various optical parameters are also calculated. The ref.ectance spectrum shows that this compound has the potential to be used as an ef.icient solar ref.ector.
