the present research work concerns about the hydrodynamic behaviors of the open net offshore fish cages of single,double and 4-cage systems subjected to regular sinusoidal *** open net semisubmersible rigid cage is square in shape and analyzed numerically using ANSYS AQWA *** and time domain analyses are carried out for each *** hydrodynamic parameters such as added mass,radiation potential damping,motion responses and mooring line tensions are considered as performance indicators to conclude as the best arrangements among three different *** single cage and windward side of all cages exhibit identical performance in all hydrodynamic *** leeward side of each cage shows lesser parametric values than the windward side *** on the performance indicators,it is concluded that the grid system containing four cage arrangements provides better performance than three other cage *** experimental model of 1∶75 scale is fabricated and wave flume studies are conducted to validate the present numerical *** cage is placed at a water depth of 55 cm and subjected to wave heights of 12 cm and 14 cm with wave periods ranging from 0.8 s to 2.2 s with an interval of 0.2 s are *** same wave flume boundary conditions are adopted for numerical simulations and results are in good agreement with experimental work results.

Objective:to report high co-positivity of anti-dengue virus(DV)and anti-Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)IgM in an area endemic for both the viruses and to discuss the possibilities of ***:Serum samples from the patients who presented with fever,suspected central nervous system infection and thrombocytopenia,were tested for anti-DV IgM and antiJEV IgM *** reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction was done for detection of DV RNA and JEV ***:Of 1 410 patient sera tested for anti-DV and antiJEV antibodies,129(9.14%)were co-positive for *** co-positivity was observed only in those months when anli-JEV IgM positivily was *** of both anli-DV IgM and anti-JEV IgM were high in most of the co-positive *** these 129 co-positive cases,76 were lesled by conventional reverse Iranscriplase polymerase chain reaction for both flaviviruses,of which eight cases were co-positive for DV and ***:Co-infection with more than one fluvivirus species can occur in hyperendemic areas.

Black shales of the Paleocene Patala Formation are proven source rocks for conventional hydrocarbons in southern Potwar Basin of Pakistan and are assumed to be effective source rocks towards north in the Margalla Hill Range of *** this regard,the current study focuses on source rock geochemistry of the Paleocene Patala Formation to assess its source rock potential,organic matter types and thermal maturity levels in the Margalla Hill Range of North *** rock generative potential,kerogen types and thermal maturation of the analysed rock samples were unraveled by using Rock-Eval pyrolysis t_(max),tOC(total organic carbon)and vitrinite reflectance(R_(0))*** analysis coupled with S_(2) yield revealed poor to fair source rock quality encountered within the *** pyrolysis t_(max) vs Hydrogen Index(HI),showed mostly type Ⅲ kerogen dominated by thermally immature to mature organic *** HI and genetic potential is low and revealed poor hydrocarbon generation potential of the *** S_(1) vs tOC plots confirm the indigenous nature of the hydrocarbons hosted by Patala *** vitrinite reflectance outcomes indicated immature to mature source rock beds lying in dry gas *** HI and OI signatures and abundance of type Ⅲ kerogen are indicating dominance of terrestrial organic matter within the ***,the investigated Patala Formation exposed at the studied section of Margalla Hill Range,Pakistan acts as a poor source rock unit for liquid hydrocarbon generation but holds prospects for dry gas generation in the study area.

the increased use of mechanical circulatory support has led to a rise in infectious complications in the recent years predisposing this population of patients to higher morbidity and mortality. In this study, we report a significantly lower rate of driveline infections of 0.12 episodes/patient-year as compared to the rates reported in the existing literature in patients with the HMII (Heartmate II). the study is limited by the fact that it is based on a small population of patients and was conducted retrospectively making recall bias hard to rule out. It is strictly restricted to one type of continuous flow pump (HMII) solely to decrease variations in the data reviewed. the exact cause of the low infection rate noted in this study is difficult to define. However, detailed teaching to the caregivers and the patient as well as close follow-ups in the perioperative period may substantially contribute to the outcome noted. Continued research limited to similar continuous flow ventricular assist devices in larger study populations would shed light on defining causes of infections in this population and developing robust algorithms to prevent such complications.

Because of the presence of sporadic high-intensity measurement noise （outliers）, an adaptive algorithm for the robust estimation of parameters of linear dynamic discrete-time systems is proposed in this paper. First, the sorted data versus the normal quantiles is plotted, called QQ-plot. Next, the e-contaminated normal distribution of noise is adopted. then, a data classification procedure based on the QQ-plot approach, combined with the robustified data winsorization technique, is developed; the estimation of the unknown noise statistical parameters is solved. Moreover, an iterative procedure for estimating the contamination degree ~＇, which originated from an ML classification, is also proposed. thus, an ^-contaminated noise distribution is estimated and, the suboptimal maximum likelihood criterion is defined, and the system-parameter estimation problem is solved robustly, using the proposed recursive robust parameter estimation scheme. Finally, these parameters are used to estimate water level in the steam drum and residual of the steam-drum water level sensor.

Objective: to evaluate the effect of IV recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) in patients with hyperdense artery sign (HAS) on initial Ct scan. Methods: the authors determined the differential effect of IV rt-PA (0.9 mg/kg) in patients with HAS by testing the interaction of rt-PA and HAS in a logistic regression model after adjusting for age, sex, initial NIH Stroke Scale score (NIHSSS), time to randomization, systolic blood pressure, serum glucose, body temperature, and rt-PA in 616 patients treated within 3 hours of symptom onset. Outcomes evaluated included intracranial hemorrhage, modified Rankin scale (mRS) 0-1, Barthel Index (BI) of ≥95, Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) of 0-1, NIHSSS 0-1, and death at 90 days. Results: HAS was detected on the initial Ct scan in 91 (15%) of the 616 patients by an independent neuroradiologist. Significantly lower rates of mRS 0-1, BI ≥95, GOS of 0-1, or NIHSSS 0-1 at 90 days were observed among patients with HAS. IV rt-PA significantly increased the rates of mRS 0-1, BI ≥95, GOS of 0-1, or NIHSSS 0-1 at 90 days after adjusting for potential confounders without any significant modifying effect (interaction) of HAS. Among the 91 patients with HAS, rt-PA use demonstrated a trend or significance for increased adjusted rates of favorable outcomes by mRS (p = 0.04), BI (p = 0.1), GOS (p = 0.03), and NIHSSS (p = 0.01). Conclusion: Although hyperdense artery sign is associated with poor outcome, IV recombinant tissue plasminogen activator may be beneficial in this subgroup of patients with ischemic stroke.
