Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are nano-sized,membranous structures secreted into the extracellular *** exhibit diverse sizes,contents,and surface markers and are ubiquitously released from cells under normal and pathological *** serum is a rich source of these EVs,though their isolation from serum proteins and non-EV lipid particles poses *** vesicles transport various cellular components such as proteins,mRnas,miRnas,DNA,and lipids across distances,influencing numerous physiological and pathological events,including those within the tumor microenvironment(TME).Their pivotal roles in cellular communication make EVs promising candidates for therapeutic agents,drug delivery systems,and disease *** in cancer diagnostics,EV detection can pave the way for early identification and offers potential as diagnostic ***,various EV subtypes are emerging as targeted drug delivery tools,highlighting their potential clinical *** need for non-invasive biomarkers to monitor biological processes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes remains *** into the unique composition of EVs could unlock advanced diagnostic and therapeutic avenues in the *** this review,we discuss in detail the roles of EVs across various conditions,including cancers(encompassing head and neck,lung,gastric,breast,and hepatocellular carcinoma),neurodegenerative disorders,diabetes,viral infections,autoimmune and renal diseases,emphasizing the potential advancements in molecular diagnostics and drug delivery.

Carbon and Nickel Oxide/Carbon Composites as Electrodes for Supercapacitors

The carbon and nickel oxide/carbon composite electrodes were prepared by plasma jet and magnetron sput-tering techniques. The investigations were performed to evaluate the influence of the Ar/C2h2 ratio on the specific capacitance values of carbon and NiO/carbon electrodes. The obtained electrodes were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy （RS）, and X-ray diffraction techniques. The surface of the carbon electrodes became less porous and more homogenous with increasing Ar/C2h2. The RS results indicated that the fraction of the sp2 carbon sites increased with increasing Ar/C2h2 ratio. The increase of the Ar/C2h2 ratio increased the capacitance values from 0.73 up to 3.8 F/g. Meanwhile, after the deposition of the nickel oxide on the carbon, the capacitance increased ten and more times and varied in the range of 7.6-86.1 F/g.

Ground vegetation,forest floor and mineral topsoil in a clear-cutting and reforested Scots pine stands of different ages:a case study

Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)is a dominant tree species on nutrient-poor sandy soils in the Baltic region’s hemiboreal forests.A final clear-cut in commercial stands is a common ***,the maintenance of relatively stable vegetation indices and ecological processes throughout the rotation promote new scientific and social ***,clear-cuttings disturb forest functions for a certain period,i.e.,phytocenoses with forest-based species composition,biodiversity,and vegetation *** organic carbon(SOC)and nutrients can also be *** key indices,ground vegetation,SOC and main nutrients in the forest floor and in 40-cm topsoil layer were analysed in the clear-cuttings(not reforested)and in reforested 10-,30-,and 101-year-old Scots pine stands in *** results show an increase in species richness at the beginning of stand formation up to 30 years after clear-cutting;species typical of a mature forest occurred relatively quickly *** mean mass of forest floor vegetation was negatively related to the richness of ground vegetation *** floor p h consequently decreased with stand *** SOC levels were in the mature *** the mineral topsoil layers,total SOC and total nitrogen were in the upper 10-cm layer in the 30-year-old stand.A post-harvest peak in mineral N concentration was observed and other nutrients,especially mobile PO,KO,Caand Mg,increased the clear-cuttings and in the 10-year-old stand compared to the mature stand.

Whether the reciprocity principle can be applied to the field or satellite observations of directional reflectance of land surface has been a question important to both theory and practice of land surface remote sensing. Under the assumption that every point on ground follows reciprocity, this paper explains why the heterogeneity of land surface can still yield apparent failure of the principle at the scale of remote sensing pixel.

Chemical delithiated LixCoO2 （x=1, 0.7, 0.66 and 0.57） has been synthesized by using a strong oxidant, nas2O8 .The structure investigations indicate that all the samples remain with hexagonal cells, which have expansion of c axis during Li extraction. Transmission electron microscopy （TEM） observations revealed the presence of superstructures arising from intercalated U-ordering corresponding to first-principle calculations. The measurements of the physical properties are also influenced by Li concentration.

Scale effects and scaling-up by geometric-optical model

This is a follow-up paper to our "Scale effect of Planck’s law over nonisothermal blackbody surface". More examples are used to describe the scale effect in detail, and the scaling-up of Planck law over blackbody surface is further extended to three-dimension nonisothermal surface. This scaling-up results in a conceptual model for the directionality and spectral signature of thermal radiation at the scale of remote sensing pixels. This new model is also an improvement of Li-Strahler-Friedl conceptual model in a sense that the new model needs only statistic parameters at the pixel scale, without request of sub-pixel scale parameters as the LSF model does.

Many physical laws, principles, models, measurement methods, etc., are applicable only to either a point on surface or a homogeneous surface. however, remote sensing deals with pixels which may range from meters to kilometers. Therefore scale effects of these laws and measurements are inevitable problems which must be faced. As an example, the spatial scale effect of Planck Law over nonisothermal blackbody surface is considered.

Two substorms occurred at ～04:05 and ～04:55 UT on February 26,2008 are studied with the in-situ observations of ThEMIS satellites and ground-based aurora and magnetic field *** et *** made a comprehensive study of the 04:55 UT *** showed detailed features of the two substorms with much attention to the first event and to the rela-tionship between mid-tail magnetic reconnection(MR) and substorm *** was found that in the earlier stage of each substorm,a first auroral intensification occurred 2-3 min soon after the start of mid-tail MR,followed by a slow and very lim-ited *** auroral arcs were weak,short-lived,and localized,characterizing all features of a *** re-garded the first auroral brightening as the initial onset of the substorms.A few minutes later,a second stronger auroral intensification appeared,followed by quick and extensive *** was interesting to note that the second brightening and related poleward expansion happened almost simultaneously(within a couple of minutes) with the onset of earthward flow and dipolarization in the near-Earth tail and other phenomenon of the substorm expansion *** thus regarded the second auroral brightening as the major onset of the ***,it was seen that during the growth phase of the two substorms,the polar cap open flux Ψ kept increasing,while it quickly reduced during the substorm expansion and recovery *** variations of Ψ implied that the evolution of the two substorm expansion phases were closely related to MR of tail lobe open field *** of substorm activities revealed that the two events studied were small substorms;while estimate of MR rate indicated that the MR processes in the two substorms were *** aforementioned observations suggested that mid-tail MR initiated the pseudobreakup first;the earthward flow generated by MR transported magnetic flux and energy to the near-Earth tail to cause the formatio

We consider the skew Brownian motion as a solution of some stochastic differential equation. We prove for the skew Brownian motion the analogues of the arc-sine laws for Wiener process. Unlike of existing results, we are forced to consider a stochastic differential equation with discontinuous diffusion coefficient. Possible interpretations of obtained results are suggested.

BACKGROUND Recently,neonatal abstinence syndrome(nas)emerged as a significant global concern with a dramatic increase in healthcare *** incidence of the nas.has increased notably in the past decade and emergence as a global public health *** To evaluate the development and trend of global nas research from 1958 to 2019 by bibliometric *** Analyzed aspects included publication output per year,language,document types,journals,countries/territories,h-index,authors,and top research *** VOSviewer was used to determine the top research priorities,and trends,and to present bibliometric networks concerning various dimensions,such as coauthorship,authors,and *** A total of 1738 articles were retrieved in the Scopus database from 1958 to *** was found that the great majority of the total nas documents(n=1295)were original articles followed by reviews(n=268)and letters(n=48).The most productive countries in the nas field were the United States(n=833),Canada(n=112),the United Kingdom(n=111),and Germany(n=77).Treatment and hospital outcomes in nas,evidence-based nurse-driven interventions for the care of newborns with nas,and a systematic reviews and network meta-analysis for therapeutic approaches of nas were found in recent years(after 2010),compared with terms such as pathophysiology,mechanisms of nas,and signs and symptoms in the early *** Treatment and pediatric outcomes and the effectiveness of pharmacological treatment may be frontiers in the nas field,and continued efforts from researchers are needed in those topics.
