Due to the emergence of various new infectious(viral/bacteria)diseases,the remote surveillance of infected persons has become most important,especially if hospitals need to isolate infected patients to prevent the spreading of pathogens to health care ***,we develop a remote health monitoring system by integrating a stretchable asymmetric supercapacitor(SASc)as a portable power source with sensors that can monitor the human physical health condition in real-time and *** abnormal body temperature and breathing rate could indicate a person’s sickness/infection *** we integrated FePS3@graphene-based strain sensor and SASc into an all-in-one textile system and wrapped it around the abdomen to continuously monitor the breathing cycle of the *** real body temperature was recorded by integrating the temperature sensor with the *** proposed system recorded physiological parameters in real-time and when monitored remotely could be employed as a screening tool for monitoring pathogen infection status.

Besides competing with algae for light and mineral nutrients (i. e. N, P, etc.), the root system of Acorus tatarinowii excretes some chemical substances, which injure and eliminate alga cells, to inhibit the growth of the algae. When the algae cells were treated in 'A. tatarinowii water', some of the chlorophyll a were destroyed and the photosynthetic rate of algae decreased markedly and the ability of alga cells to deoxidize triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTc) reduced greatly. Then alga cells turned from bright red to bluish green under fluorescence microscope. These showed that the allelopathic effects of A. tatarinowii on algae were obvious and planting A. tatarinowii can control some green algae. The experiment on the extractions of the secretions of the root system showed that the inhibitory effect had a concentration effect. If the concentration of the root secretion was below 30 μl/disc, the inhibitory rate was negative; if it was over 45 μl/disc, the inhibitory rate was positive. This proved that the influence of the root secretion on the same acceptor was a kind of concentration effect. When the concentration of the root secretion was low, it promoted the growth of algae; when the concentration reached a definite threshold value, it restrained the growth of algae. In present case, the threshold value was between 30 μl/disc and 45 μl/disc.

Textural and stable isotopic features of two middle Pleistocene fluvial stromatolite profiles are compared to a recent stromatolite,both formed in the River Piedra system(NE Spain),to test the reliability of climatic,hydrologic and depositional information derived from ancient *** Pleistocene stromatolites formed in a multi-domed,highly-inclined *** recent stromatolite also formed in a highly-inclined cascade of the River Piedra,the sedimentary conditions of which were periodically examined between the years 2000 and *** Pleistocene stromatolites are formed of an alternation of 1) thin large-crystal laminae(type A),with elongated crystals up to 1 mm long,and 2) thick small-crystal laminae(type B),consisting of cyanobacterial fan-and bushshaped *** textural and isotopic comparison with the recent stromatolite shows that each A–B couplet corresponds to one *** type-A laminae are comparable to the macrocrystalline laminae that occur in the cool-period deposits of the recent stromatolite,and the type-B laminae are comparable to the warm-period deposits of the recent *** temperatures(Tw),calculated from δ^(18)O_(calcite) and present measures of δ^(18)O_(water),were similar in the Pleistocene and recent specimens,and close to the measured river ***,the Pleistocene stromatolites formed not far from isotopic equilibrium,as did the recent *** Pleistocene δ^(18) O_(calcite) biannual oscillation is wider in amplitude than in the recent stromatolite,which suggests larger differences in Tw through the year in the Pleistocene than at *** Pleistocene δ^(13)c_(calcite) does not show any pattern;and the values are slightly higher than the recent *** co-evolution of δ^(18)O and δ^(13)c is parallel in the Pleistocene stromatolites,matching the recent stromatolite *** results and their comparison with other ancient examples prove that textural and isotopic features in ancient stromatolites

The combination therapy of magnetic hyperthermia and thermosensitive liposomes (TSL) is an emerging and effective cancer treatment method. The heat generation of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) due to an external alternating magnetic field can not only directly damage tumor cells, but also serves as a triggering factor for the release of doxorubicin from TSL. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects in the degree of tumor cell damage of two proposed injection strategies that consider intravenous administration. Since both MNPs and TSL enter the tumor region intravenously, this study establishes a biological geometric model based on an experiment-based vascular distribution. Furthermore, this study derives the flow velocity of interstitial fluid after coupling the pressure distribution inside blood vessels and the pressure distribution of interstitial fluid, which then provides the convective velocity for the calculation of subsequent nanoparticle concentration. Different injection strategies for the proposed approach are evaluated by drug delivery result, temperature distribution, and tumor cell damage. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed delayed injection strategy after optimization can not only result in a wider distribution for MNPs and TSL due to the sufficient diffusion time, but also improves the distribution of the temperature and drug concentration fields for the overall efficacy of combination therapy.
