A multi-hierarchy simulation model aiming magnetic reconnection studies is developed and improved in which macroscopic and microscopic physics are computed consistently and *** physics is solved by magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)algorithm,while microscopic dynamics is expressed by particle-in-cell(PIC)*** multi-hierarchy model relies on the domain decomposition method,and macro-and micro-hierarchies are interlocked smoothly by hand-shake *** examination,plasma flow injection is simulated in the multihierarchy *** is observed that plasmas flow from a macro-hierarchy to a microhierarchy across the magnetic field smoothly and continuously.

Palynological study of the Minato Formation, Noda Group, distributed in the vicinity of Kuji City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan is discussed in this paper. Biostratigraphically important palynomorphs including four angiosperm species, Triprojectus subspinulosus(Funkhouser) Braman, Triprojectus cf. spinulosus(Mtchedlishvili) Stanley, Paraalnipollenites confusus Hills et Wallace and Pistillipollenites macgregorii Rouse, and one fungi species, Pesavis tagluensis Elsik et Jansonius are described. Palyno-assembleges from the lower and the middle horizons of the Minato Formation are considered to indicate Danian in age, which corresponds well with the known fission-track dating. Palyno-assembleges from the lower and middle horizons of the Minato Formations are correlative with those from the Wuyun Formation and the Upper Tsagayan Subformation of Heilongjiang(Amur) River area in northeast China and the Russian Far East. Despite the similarity of the palyno-assembleges, differences in the diversity of angiosperms and species composition of some biostratigraphically important species are recognized between the two regions.

Pressure drops and heat transfer over staggered pin fin heat sinks with top bypass flow were experimentally evaluated. The authors considered liquid-cooling applications because there were few data available comparing to air-cooling applications. Empirical equations to predict heat transfer on the endwall were developed by obtaining experimental data on the copper base plate with acrylic pins. A new model for predicting pressure drops and heat transfer over staggered pin fin heat sinks with top bypass flow based on mass, momentum, and energy conservation within the two control volumes is proposed. The first control volume in the model is located within the finned area, and the second is located in the gap between the tip of the pins and the flow channel. This model combines two conditions according to the boundary-layer thickness. A comparison between experimental and calculated results revealed that dimensionless pressure drops and the Nusselt number could be predicted within 30% error for the former and 50% error for the latter.

In the neck meridian test, the examinee stretches his or her neck in four directions and rates the intensity of pain and/or symptoms on a four point Likert scale. The four responses are summed to calculate the test score. This study conducted secondary analyses of data from a randomized controlled trial of self-administered acupressure. The study aimed to examine the change of the neck meridian test score induced by self-administered acupressure. The data of 54 (male, n = 34;female, n = 20) students, who were randomly assigned to an intervention group (IG) and a control group (CG), were subjected to secondary analyses. The IG participants were asked to complete a self-administered acupressure intervention for two weeks;the CG participants were not. In the IG, the perceived stress decreased significantly over time, while the neck meridian test score decreased significantly;in contrast, this score increased in the CG. A significant positive correlation was found between the changes in the perceived stress and neck meridian test scores. These results supported validity of the neck meridian test as a tool for assessing perceived stress.

During the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,the Japanese government implemented several infection control measures,such as states of emergency(SoE)and school closures,and encouraged universal masking and hand *** activity restrictions and improved hygiene were found to be associated with declines in the incidence of infuenza during the 2019–2020 winter season[1].Prior studies have found that the incidence of seven pediatric infections,such as pharyngoconjunctivitis and varicella,decreased during and after the school closures in Japan[2].As activity restrictions continue to be lifted,there is growing concern that pediatric infections may suddenly return given that the pool of susceptible children increased during the pandemic[3].In this study,we use national infectious disease sentinel data from January 2012 to October 2021 to assess changes in the reported number of pediatric infections in Japan during the COVID-19 *** hypothesize that the reporting of many infectious diseases decreased during the early stages of the pandemic but ultimately returned to normal when activity restrictions were lifted.
