In this paper,we propose and analyze a fractional-order SIS epidemic model with the saturated treatment and disease *** existence and uniqueness,nonnegativity and finiteness of solutions for our suggested model have been *** equilibria of the model are found and their local and global stability analyses are also ***,the conditions for fractional back.ard and fractional Hopf bifurcation are also analyzed in both the commensurate and incommensurate fractional-order *** study how the control parameter and the order of the fractional derivative play role in local as well as global stability of equilibrium points and Hopf *** have demonstrated the analytical results of our proposed model system through several numerical simulations.

Conventional 2D intestinal models cannot precisely recapitulate biomimetic features in vitro and thus are unsuitable for various pharmacok.netic applications,development of disease models,and understanding the host-microbiome ***,recently,efforts have been directed toward recreating in vitro models with intestine-associated unique 3D crypt-villus(for small intestine)or crypt-lumen(for large intestine)*** review comprehensively delineates the current advancements in this research area in terms of the different microfabrication technologies(photolithography,laser ablation,and 3D bioprinting)employed and the physiological relevance of the obtained models in mimick.ng the features of native intestinal tissue.A major thrust of the manuscript is also on highlighting the dynamic interplay between intestinal cells(both the stem cells and differentiated ones)and different biophysical,biochemical,and mechanobiological cues along with interaction with other cell types and intestinal microbiome,providing goals for the future developments in this *** article also manifests an outlook.toward the application of induced pluripotent stem cells in the context of intestinal tissue *** a concluding note,challenges and prospects for clinical translation of 3D patterned intestinal tissue models have been discussed.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a neurodevelopmental impairment that results in a person’s behavior,think.ng,and memory *** common symptoms ofADare losingmemory and early *** addition to these,there are several serious impacts ***,the impact ofADcanbemitigatedby early-stagedetection though it cannot be cured ***-stage detection is the most challenging task.for controlling and mitigating the impact of *** study proposes a predictive model to detect AD in the initial phase based on machine learning and a deep learning approach to address the *** build a predictive model,open-source data was collected where five stages of images of AD were available as Cognitive Normal(CN),Early Mild Cognitive Impairment(EMCI),Mild Cognitive Impairment(MCI),Late Mild Cognitive Impairment(LMCI),and *** stage of AD is considered as a class,and then the dataset was divided into three parts binary class,three class,and five *** this research,we applied different preprocessing steps with augmentation techniques to efficiently *** integrates a random oversampling technique to handle the imbalance problem from target classes,mitigating the model overfitting and *** three machine learning classifiers,such as random forest(RF),k.Nearest neighbor(k.N),and support vector machine(SVM),and two deep learning methods,such as convolutional neuronal network.CNN)and artificial neural network.ANN)were applied on these *** analyzing the performance of the used models and the datasets,it is found that CNN with binary class outperformed 88.20%*** result of the study indicates that the model is highly potential to detect AD in the initial phase.

In this paper, a charge sheet surface potential based model for strained-Si nMOSFETs is presented and validated with numerical simulation. The model considers sub band splitting in the 2-DEG at the top heterointerface in SiGe layer and also the dependence of electron concentration at heterointerface with the gate oxide. The model is scalable with strained-Si material parameters with physically derived flat-band voltages. An explicit relation for surface potential as a function of terminal voltages is developed. The model is derived from regional charge-based approach, where regional solutions are physically derived. The model gives an accurate description of drain current both in the weak.and strong inversion regions of operation. The results obtained from the model developed are benchmark.d with commercial numerical device simulator and is found to be in excellent agreement.

Polymer based nanocomposites consisting of elastic three-dimensional(3 D)carbon foam(CF),paraffin wax and graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs)have been created and evaluated for thermal energy *** ultralight,highly porous(~98.6%porosity),and flexible CFs with densities of2.84-5.26 mg/cm^3 have been used as the back.one sk.leton to accommodate phase change wax and nanoscale thermal conductive enhancer,*** level of defects and the ordered sp2 configuration allow the resulting CFs to exhibit excellent cyclic compressive behavior at strains up to 95%,while retaining part of their elastic properties even after 100 cycles of *** dispersing the highly conductive GNP nanofillers in paraffin wax and infiltrating them into the flexible CFs,the resultant nanocomposites were observed to possess enhanced overall thermal conductivity up to 0.76 W/(m k.,representing an impressive improvement of226%,which is highly desirable for thermal engineering.

Multispectral satellite image and digital elevation model (DEM) have emerged as the primary data sources for the mapping of landforms. They offer an opportunity to gain a fresh insight into the geomorphology of an area through landform identification using spatial, temporal, spectral and radiometric resolution of satellite images, and through the synergetic approach using DEM derivatives such as profile, slope, hill shading, contour pattern and 3-D flythrough visuals. This paper demonstrates an integrated study of Resourcesat-1 LISS III (23.5 m) image with ASTER DEM (30 m) for the identification of landforms in a rugged topography where conventional field based methods are difficult to adopt due to terrain inaccessibility. Satellite image aided by 3-D visualisation helped in accurate identification of landforms such as hogback. cuesta, plateau top and intermontane valley. The results showed that although denudational processes are active in this area, structural imprints of the strata that is mostly of proterozoic era, are still preserved.

Dual Solution of MHD Stagnation-Point Flow towards a Stretching Surface

The effect of a uniform transverse magnetic field on two-dimensional stagnation-point flow of an incompressible viscous electrically conducting fluid over a stretching surface is investigated when the surface is stretched in its own plane with a velocity proportional to the distance from the stagnation-point. This magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow problem is governed by the parameter b representing the ratio of the strain rate of the stagnation-point flow to that of the stretching sheet and the magnetic field parameter M. It is k.own from a previous paper [9] that if b > 1, the steady solution to the problem is monotonic increasing and the solution is also unique. But when 0 0.23919, the non-monotonic solution cannot exist and so in this case, the only solution is monotonic decreasing. A stability analysis reveals that when 0 < b < bc, the solutions along the upper branch corresponding to the monotonic solution are linearly stable while those along the lower branch for the non-monotonic solution are linearly unstable. It is also shown that the decay rate of a disturbance increases with increasing M for the stable solution but the growth rate of instability for the non-monotonic solution decreases with increasing M.

Photochromism is the reversible structural change of the molecules upon light irradiation having different spectral pattern before and after irradiation. Liquid crystal (LC) is a long-range orientational order of the molecules in between solid and isotropic liquid phases which share the properties of the crystal and liquid phases. 1-Alk.l-2-(ary-lazo)imidazoles, (Raai-CnH2n+1, R = H, Me and n = 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22) exhibits photochromism and two of them (Haai-C18H37 and Haai-C22H45) show Liquid crystal (LC) properties. One of these compounds, Meaai-C16H33 is structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction study. The compounds upon irradiation with UV light show E-to-Z isomerisation. Quantum yields (φE→Z) of E-to-Z isomerisation vary with the molar mass of the compounds. The reverse transformation, Z-to-E, is recorded in thermal condition. The activation energy (Ea) of isomerisation is determined by the controlled temperature reaction. Liquid crystal property of the molecules is examined by polarizing optical microscopy (POM) and DSC. The carbon chain length n = 18 shows nematic (N)-isotropic (I) phase transition and an unk.own Smectic (Sm) phase is observed with n = 22 on heating cycle.
