Colorectal cancer(CRC)is known to harbor considerable heterogeneity.1 Consequently,it could be hypothesized that similar-appearing tumors might exhibit substantial genetic differences while diverse-appearing tumors may have a similar genetic landscape.2 Due to these differences at the molecular level,they behave or respond differently to therapies as *** progression is a multistep process and involves the accumulation of substantial genetic and epigenetic events in a stage-dependent manner.

Parkinson's disease(PD) is one of the most debilitating brain diseases. Despite the availability of symptomatic treatments, response towards the health of PD patients remains scarce. To fulfil the medical needs of the PD patients, an efficacious and etiological treatment is required. In this review, we have compiled the information covering limitations of current therapeutic options in PD, novel drug targets for PD, and finally, the role of some critical beneficial natural products to control the progression of PD.

Oxidative Stressand Antioxidant Responses in Young Leaves of Mulberry Plants Grown Under Nitrogen, Phosphorus or Potassium Deficiency

The aim of this study was to associate the generation of reactive oxygen species （ROS） with Induced antloxidant responses and disturbed cellular redox environment in the nitrogen-（N）, phosphorus-（P）, or potassium-（k） deftcient mulberry （Morus alba L. var. kanva-2） plants. The indicators of oxidative stress and cellular redox environment and antioxldant defense-related parameters were analyzed. Oeficlency of N, P or k suppressed growth, accelerated senescence, and decreased concentrations of chloroplastic pigments and glutathione. Lipid peroxidation and activities of superoxide dismutase, ascorbate peroxidase and glutathione reductase were also increased in these N, P, or k deprived plants. Concentration of hydrogen peroxide Increased in plants deficient in N or P. Oeficlency of N or P particularly altered the cellular redox environment as indicated by changes in the redox couples, namely ascorbic acid/total ascorbate decreased in P-, glutathione sulfydryl/total glutathione decreased in N-, and Increased in P-deficient plants. Activity staining of native gels for superoxide dismutase revealed Increased activity as Indicated by Increased intensity of bands, and induction of few new isoforms in P- and k-deficient plants. Oifferences in the patterns of superoxide dismutase isoforms and redox status （ascorbic acid/total ascorbate and glutathlone sulfydryl/total glutathione） Indicate that N-, P-, or k-deficiency altered antioxidant responses to varying extents in mulberry plants.

The present paper enumerates an account of the lichen flora in Achanakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve located in Central India which comprises 78 species belonging to 25 genera under nine families. Of these, twenty two species have been reported for the first time from Central India. All the species are enumerated with their correct original citation, basionyms if any, their places of occurrence in the reserve area, distributional range and exsiccata have been provided.

Formation of X-120 M Line Pipe through J-C-O-E Technique

The line pipe forming operation can be divided into two parts, first is to achieve the required shape in terms of curvature and ovality after formation of the line pipe. The curvature and ovality ultimately effects the final dimensional controls at the later stage i.e. after mechanical expansion of the line pipe. The second part is to make right welding joint geometry to make the final long seam weld of line pipe. The welding joint geometry ultimately controls soundness of final seam weld at later stage i.e. during submerged arc welding of the line pipe. As far as curvature or shape of line pipe is concerned, important operation is making the required curvature along the edges of TMCP and ACC (Thermo mechanical controlled processing and accelerated cooling process) plate for line pipe (Plate Edge Crimping press) up to the 150 mm in width minimum and forming of the line pipe at J-C-O press. The selection of dies with proper hardness and curvature in both the operation plays a vital role in the formation of line pipes. The main parameters of selection dies (Tools) are size of line pipe for which dies/tools are to be made i.e. the diameter of line pipe, thickness of line pipe and most important is grade of line pipe (Strength level). The grade or strength level decides amount of spring back behavior of the steel Plate. The spring back behavior again varies from steel mill to steel mill in the same grade of HR plate. This is because the each steel mill has its own manufacturing procedures to produce the TMCP and ACC plate. The plate for line pipe is produced through TMCP (Thermo mechanical controlled processing) and accelerated cooling process. In this process the strength level is achieved by the chemical composition of the slab, thickness of the slab, reheating temperature, roughing temperature at which reduction in the thickness, finish rolling temperature and finally the accelerated cooling temperature rate.

Iodoform is also known as triiodomethane a yellow crystalline solid belongs to the family of organic halogen compounds used as an antiseptic component of certain medications. It was first prepared in 1822 by electrolysis of aqueous solutions of acetone, inorganic iodides and sodium carbonates. It s antiseptic action discovered in 1880, which made it an important medicinal. It has no irritant action;it has antiseptic, disinfectant properties. In this article we are sharing our experiences of iodoform dressing in different conditions like for the cyst healing and management of dry socket, followed by a review of its various applications in literature. The open packing has been used successfully as a secondary healing method to help bone tissue healing, results were similar to secondary healing of alveolar socket after tooth extraction. Bony healing was confirmed radio graphically. The release of elemental iodine when applied to the tissue which has a mild disinfectant action with the organic tissue, iodine is slight irritant to the tissue which may promote granulation tissue formation.

Some Physicochemical and Thermal Studies on Organic Analog of a Nonmetal-Nonmetal Monotectic Alloy;2-Cyanoacetamide–4-chloronitrobenzene System

The phase equilibrium data on organic analog of the nonmetal-nonmetal system, involving 2-cyanoacetamide (CA)―4-chloronitrobenzene (CNB), show the formation of a monotectic (0.10 mole fraction of CNB) and a eutectic (0.98 mole fraction of CNB) with a large miscibility gap starting from 0.10 mole fraction of CNB of monotectic (M) and ending at 0.92 mole fraction of CNB of monotectic horizontal (Mh);the upper consolute temperature Tc being 63?C above the monotectic horizontal at 118?C and eutectic temperature is at 85?C. The values of enthalpy of fusion of the pure components, the eutectic and the monotectic were determined by the differential scanning calorimetry (Mettler DSC-4000 system). Using these data, the size of the critical radius, interfacial energy, excess thermodynamic functions, entropy of fusion, and enthalpy of mixing were calcu-lated. The solid-liquid interfacial energy data confirm the applicability of the Cahn wetting condition. While growth data obey the Hillig-Turnbull equation, the microstructural investigations give typical characteristic features of the eutectic and the monotectic of the system.

An Epidemiological Model to Find out Factors Associated with Nodal Involvement among Indian Oral Cancer Patients

In India, the most common cancer among men is cancer of lip-oral and its incidence is further increasing. Nodal metastasis is an important prognostic factor in oral cancer. Previous studies on factors associated with nodal involvement are mainly focused on clinical exploration, and there is very little work in statistical modeling for nodal involvement. Also, the available studies have limited covariates and their varying forms. Further, studies available from India have mainly focused either on occult nodal metastasis only or a specific site of oral or stages. Hence, in order to identify epidemiological determinants of nodal metastasis, objective of this study was to develop a regression model to find out factors associated with nodal involvement and assess its validity. 945 histopathologically proven oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients who went under surgery including neck dissection during 1995-2013 at the Department of Surgical Oncology, Dr. BRA-IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi, India, were included for model building. Another data of 204 patients available during 2014-2015 was used for the temporal validation of the developed model. To assess the factors associated with nodal involvement, stepwise multivariable logistic regression procedure was used and results are presented as odds ratio and corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI). Pain at the time of presentation [1.34 (1.02 to 1.77)], sub mucous fibrosis (SMF) [0.45 (0.21 to 0.95)], palpable neck node [2.38 (1.69 to 3.35)], tongue [1.63 (1.07 to 2.46)] as compared to buccal mucosa and degree of differentiation [1.41 (1.05 to 1.89)] were found to be significantly associated with nodal involvement. Further, diagnostic performance of the developed model was found to be satisfactory on temporal validation. These data suggest that, Pain at time of presentation, presence of clinical neck node, SMF, degree of differentiation and oral site are the most probable factors associated with nodal involvement in OSCC.

Synthesis of Crystalline Ag Nanoparticles (AgNPs) from Microorganisms

Bacteria obtained from the isolates of the biodiversity of riverine coast of Ganga identified as Bacillus koriensis, when challenged with silver nitrate solution accumulated silver nanoparticles on the surface of its cell wall. These nanoparticles showed an absorption peak at 438 nm in UV-visible spectrum corresponding to the plasmon resonance of AgNPs. The transmission electron micrographs of nanoparticles in aqueous solution showed the production of reasonably monodisperse AgNPs (average particle size: 9.92 ±1.311 nm) by the bacteria. X-ray diffraction spectrum of the nanoparticles confirmed the formation of metallic silver.
