The Paleocene mudrocks in Ghana’s Tano Basin have received limited attention despite ongoing efforts to explore hydrocarbon resources.A thorough geochemical analysis is imperative to assess these mudrocks’petroleum generation potential and formulate effective exploration *** this study,a comprehensive geochemical analysis was carried out on ten Paleocene rock cuttings extracted from TP-1,a discovery well within the Tano *** analytical techniques,including total organic carbon(TOC)analysis,Rock–Eval pyrolysis,gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,and isotope ratio-mass spectrometry,were employed to elucidate their hydrocar-bon potential and organic ***ﬁndings in this study were subsequently compared to existing geochemical data on Paleocene source rocks in the South Atlantic marginal *** results indicated that the Paleocene samples have TOC content ranging from 0.68 to 2.93 wt%.The prevalent kerogen types identiﬁed in these samples were Type Ⅱ and Type Ⅲ.Molecular and isotope data suggest that the organic matter found in the Paleocene mudrocks can be traced back to land plants and lower aquatic *** mudrocks were deposited in a transi-tional environment withﬂuctuating water salinity,charac-terized by sub-oxic redox *** indices,both bulk and molecular,indicated a spectrum of maturity levels within the Paleocene mudrocks,spanning from immature to marginally mature,with increasing maturity observed with greater *** comparison,the organic composition and depositional environments of Paleocene source rocks in the Tano Basin closely resemble those found in the niger Delta Basin,Douala,and Kribi-Campo Basins,the Kwanza Formation in Angola,and certain Brazilian marginal ***,it is worth noting that Paleocene source rocks in some of the basins,such as the niger Delta and Brazilian marginal basins,exhibit rela-tively higher thermal maturity levels compared to those observed in the current Paleocene samp

The number of students demanding computer science(CS)education is rapidly rising,and while faculty sizes are also growing,the traditional pipeline consisting of a CS major,a CS master’s,and then a move to industry or a *** is simply not *** address this problem,the Department of Computing at the University of Illinois has introduced a multidisciplinary approach to computing,which is a scalable and collaborative approach to capitalize on the tremendous demand for computer science *** key component of the approach is the blended major,also referred to as“CS+X”,where CS denotes computer science and X denotes a non-computing *** CS+X blended degrees enable win-win partnerships among multiple subject areas,distributing the educational responsibilities while growing the entire *** meet the demand from non-CS majors,another pathway that is offered is a graduate certificate program in addition to the traditional minor *** accommodate the large number of students,scalable teaching tools,such as automatic graders,have also been developed.

To assess whether a development strategy will be profitable enough,production forecasting is a crucial and difficult step in the *** development history of other reservoirs in the same class tends to be studied to make predictions ***,the permeability field,well patterns,and development regime must all be similar for two reservoirs to be considered in the same *** results in very few available experiences from other reservoirs even though there is a lot of historical information on numerous reservoirs because it is difficult to find such similar *** paper proposes a learn-to-learn method,which can better utilize a vast amount of historical data from various ***,the proposed method first learns how to learn samples before directly learning rules in ***,by utilizing gradients from networks with independent parameters and copied structure in each class of reservoirs,the proposed network obtains the optimal shared initial parameters which are regarded as transferable information across different *** on that,the network is able to predict future production indices for the target reservoir by only training with very limited samples collected from reservoirs in the same *** cases further demonstrate its superiority in accuracy to other widely-used network methods.

Skin-to-skin contact(SSC)consists of positioning the diaper-clad infant against the parent’s chest and is considered a nursing practice rooted in family-centered care(FCC).1 SSC implies simultaneous parental presence and helps to facilitate their involvement from the earliest hours of their preterm infants’lives as this intervention is delivered by parents.1 FCC has gained worldwide popularity in recent years to promote parental presence and active participation of parents in care during neonatal intensive care units(nICUs)hospitalization.2 Both practices relate to developmental care(DC),which regroups specific interventions aimed at reducing stress and improving infant neurological development.

Background:Skeletal muscle energetics decline with age,and physical activity(PA)has been shown to offset these declines in older ***,many studies reporting these effects were based on self-reported PA or structured exercise ***,we examined the associations of accelerometry-measured and self-reported PA and sedentary behavior(SB)with skeletal muscle energetics and explored the extent to which PA and sedentary behavior would attenuate the associations of age with muscle ***:As part of the Study of Muscle,Mobility and Aging,enrolled older adults(n=879),810(age=76.4±5.0 years old,mean±SD;58%women)had maximal muscle oxidative capacity measured ex vivo via high-resolution re spirometry of permeabilized myofibers(maximal oxidative phosphorylation(maxOXPHOS))and in vivo by ^(31)phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy(maximal adenosine triphosphate(ATP_(max))).Accelerometry-measured sedentary behavior,light activity,and moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA)were assessed using a wrist-worn ActiGraph GT9X over 7 ***-reported sedentary behavior,MVPA,and all PA were assessed with the Community Healthy Activities Model Program for Seniors(CHAMPS)*** regression models with progressive covariate adjustments evaluated the associations of sedentary behavior and PA with muscle energetics,as well as the attenuation of the age/muscle energetics association by MVP A and sedentary *** a sensitivity analysis,we also examined activPAL-measured daily step count and time spent in sedentary behavior and their associations with muscle ***:Every 30 min/day more of ActiGraph-measured MVPA was associated with 0.65 pmol/(s×mg)higher maxOXPHOS and 0.012 mM/s higher ATP_(max)after adjusting for age,site/technician,and sex(pnot associated with maxOXPHOS or ATP_(max).Meanwhile,every 30 min/day spent in ActiGraph-measured sedentary behavior was associated with 0.39 pmol/s×mg lower maxOXPHOS and0.

The present study aimed to develop a protocol for somatic embryogenesis and encapsulation of coffee embryos(Coffea arabica L.),for the conservation of genotypes with characteristics of commercial *** embryos were induced from leaf explants in Murashige and Skoog medium(MS)supplemented with 1 mg·L^(−1) of 2,4-dichlorophenoxiacetic acid(2,4-D)combined with 2 mg·L^(−1) of benzyladenine(BA).Somatic embryos(SE)at the globular stage were encapsulated in a sodium alginate matrix;two treatments were tested:MS+5 mg·L^(−1) BA+1 mg·L^(−1) nAA+3%(w/v)alginate,and MS+7 mg·L^(−1) BA+5.7 mg·L^(−1) indoleacetic acid(IAA)+3%(w/v)*** was complexed with 100 mM calcium chloride(CaCl_(2)).Viability of the encapsulated SE was determined by staining with 0.01%fluorescein diacetate(FDA)after 0,15,30,and 45 days of storage at 4℃.Embryo viability was 100%in both treatments.

AIM： To investigate the differences in injury patterns caused by arterial, venous or arteriovenous mesenteric occlusion. METHODS： Male Wistar rats were separated equally into four groups. Occlusion was performed by clamping the superior mesenteric artery （A）, the mesenteric vein （V） or both （AV） for 30 min, followed by 60 min of reperfusion. A control group received sham surgery only. Intestinal sections were examined for histological damage and serum tumor necrosis factor-α （TnF-α）, endothelin-1 （ET-1）, P-selectin, antithrombin Ⅲ （AT Ⅲ） and soluble intracellular adhesion molecule-1 （ICAM-1） concentrations were measured. RESULTS： All groups showed significant mucosal injury compared to controls. Furthermore, mucosal injury was significantly more severe in the V and AV groups compared to the A group （3.6 ± 0.55, 3.4 ± 0.55 and 2± 0.71, respectively, P = 0.01）. ICAM-1 was similarly elevated in all groups, with no significant differences between the groups. P-selectin levels were significantly elevated in the V and AV groups but not the A group （1.4 ± 0.5 ng/mL, 2.52 ± 0.9 ng/mL and 0.02± 0.01 ng/mL, respectively, P = 0.01） and ET-1 was significantly elevated in the A and V groups but not the AV group （0.32 ± 0.04 pg/mL, 0.36 ± 0.05 pg/mL and 0.29 ± 0.03 pg/mL, respectively, P = 0.01） compared to sham controls. ATⅢ levels were markedly depleted in the V and AV groups, but not in the A group （29.1 ± 5.2 pg/mL, 31.4 ±21.8 pg/mL and 55.8± 35.6 pg/mL, respectively, P = 0.01）, compared to controls. Serum TnF-α was significantly increased in all groups compared to sham controls （1.32 ± 0.87 ng/mL, 1.79 ± 0.20 ng/mL and 4.4 ± 0.69 ng/mL, for groups A, V and AV, respectively, P = 0.01）, with higher values in the AV group. Background:Capacitation is a set of physiological changes sperms undergo to acquire fertilizing *** vivo,this process is directly associated with high calcium levels in sperm ***,the vitamin D hypercalcemic metabolite,is related to human sperm motility,capacitation,and acrosome *** work aimed to study the effect of calcitriol on bull sperm quality parameters and ***:One million freezethawed spermatozoa were obtained from different bulls and treated with 20 nM of calcitriol for 30 *** cells(negative control)and treated ones with calcitriol or heparin(100μg/mL,positive capacitation control)were evaluated for motility,viability,and functional ***(70μM,30 min)treatment was included as a reactive oxygen species(ROS)positive sperm ***:The results elucidated that sperm exposed to 20 nM calcitriol showed higher viability,vigor,and capacitation than their positive and negative *** percentage of sperm with intact plasma and acrosome membranes,mitochondrial membrane potential(ΔΨm),and phosphatidylserine externalization was similar in all the conditions evaluated,while ROS production was higher with heparin and menadione-treated groups than the calcitriol group or negative ***:Our results indicate that calcitriol induces the capacitation of thawed bull spermatozoa and maintains acceptable values of progressive motility,viability,and vigor without altering key biological parameters such as redox status,ΔΨm,and cell death.
