feeding dysfunction is a frequent presenting symptom of eosinophilic esophagitis(EoE). Here we present 3 children of various ages whose manifestations of EoE associated feeding dysfunction led to significant and life altering impact on their growth and development. Early identification of presenting symptoms of EoE will allow for prompt diagnosis and initiation of appropriate treatments. Recognition of salient features of dysfunction and treatment by feeding therapists and nutritionists led to symptom resolution and growth.

Introduction: Infections represent a real public health problem aggravating the morbidity and mortality of hospitalized patients. Methods: This was a retrospective study with descriptive purposes over a period of 05 years, in the Pneumology Department of the University Hospital of Cocody. Results: The average age in our population was 42 years. We observed a male predo- minance of 64.5%, with a sex ratio of 1.8. Medical history was dominated by HIV infection (23.5%), followed by tuberculosis (15.6%). Concerning lifestyle, smoking was found in 38% of cases. Symptoms progressed chronically in 80% of cases. An infectious syndrome was found in 75% of cases. Microbial culture was positive in 42% of cases. Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae were encountered in 26.4% of cases each, followed by Echerichia coli in 10.4% of cases. Klebsiella pneumoniae in the first three years topped the list, but gradually. Pseudomonas aeruginosa maintained its leadership over the last three years. Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates expressed a resistance rate of 9.8% to ceftazidime and 8.1% to imipenem;to aztreonam (36%), ticarcillin (33.3%) and levofloxacin. These strains were susceptible to fosfomycin (100%), mero- penem (96.6%) and amikacin (96%). for isolated strains of Entero- bacteria- ceae, resistance was observed about ticarcillin (83.3%) and amoxicillin clavula- nic acid (71.2%). Streptococcaceae showed resistance to tetracycline (69.2%) and erythromycin (50%). Over the years there has been an increase in re- sistance to amoxicillin-clavulanic acid ceftriaxone. The death rate was 14%. Conclusion: The bacterial profile of infections is dominated by germs respon- sible for nosocomial infection with significant mortality.

We investigated how exposure duration （time that two individuals initially interact） and separation interval （time be- tween the initial interaction and a subsequent interaction） affect recognition memory of conspecifics in male red-backed sala- manders Plethodon cinereus. Previous studies have demonstrated that this species aggressively defends territories. We recorded aggressive behavior to assess recognition memory, because aggression is more intense toward previously unencountered indi- viduals compared to previously encountered individuals in this species. We found that with 15-min exposures and 5-day separa- tion intervals, focal males did not spend significantly more time threatening ＇unfamiliar＇ intruders than ＇familiar＇ intruders. After either 8-hour exposures and 5-day separation intervals and 5-day exposures and 5-day separation intervals, focal males spent sig- nificantly more time threatening unfamiliar intruders than familiar intruders. These results suggest that male red-backed salaman- ders can remember familiar conspecifics （e.g., territorial neighbors） after at least an 8-hour exposure duration and that memory persists at least as long as 5 days. After 5-day exposure and 15-day separation intervals, we found no significant difference in ag- gressive behavior toward familiar and unfamiliar intruders. Long separation intervals （15 days） may lead either to loss of memory of previously familiar individuals or, alternatively, aggressive reassessment of individuals as only a change in behavior indicates positively that memory has occurred. Thus, variance in territorial defense within an individual may depend on its ability to recog- nize conspecific males .

In order to evaluate the petrophysical properties,characterize the structural framework and determine the hydrocarbon in place of potential reservoirs in the Baris field,onshore Niger Delta Basin,Nigeria,3D seismic and well log data from the field were collected and interpreted using Geographix and Petrel *** reservoir zones B2 and B5 were identified having porosity ranging from 21%to 22%,permeability from 235 to 523 mD and water saturation from 16%to 28%.Petrophysical parameters show that the two zones are good reservoirs and highly *** interpretation revealed the presence of six listric faults,two major faults(f1 and f2 trending in the northwestesoutheast direction)and four minor faults(f3,f4,f5 and f6).faults 3,4 and 5 trend in the same direction as the major faults,while fault 6 trends in the northeastesouthwest *** major horizons were identified,and they correspond to the two reservoir tops(B2_top and B5_top).Roll-over anticlinal structures between the two major listric faults were *** depositional environment of the Reservoirs B2 and B5 have been deciphered to be of a barrier bar or crevasse play and the trapping mechanism in the Baris field is a four-way structural *** and GIIP for the two zones have been estimated with the zone B5 more prolific with a STOOIP and GIIP of 7.98MMSTB and 12.77MMMSCf respectively.

A Machine Learning Approach to Predict HIV Viral Load Hotspots in Kenya Using Real-World Data

Background:Machine learning models are not in routine use for predicting HIV *** objective is to describe the development of a machine learning model to predict HIV viral load(VL)hotspots as an early warning system in Kenya,based on routinely collected data by affiliate entities of the Ministry of *** on World Health Organization’s recommendations,hotspots are health facilities with≥20%people living with HIV whose VL is not *** of VL hotspots provides an early warning system to health administrators to optimize treatment and resources ***:A random forest model was built to predict the hotspot status of a health facility in the upcoming month,starting from *** to model building,the datasets were cleaned and checked for outliers and multicollinearity at the patient *** patient-level data were aggregated up to the facility level before model *** analyzed data from 4 million tests and 4,265 *** dataset at the health facility level was divided into train(75%)and test(25%)***:The model discriminates hotspots from non-hotspots with an accuracy of 78%.The f1 score of the model is 69%and the Brier score is *** December 2019,our model correctly predicted 434 VL hotspots in addition to the observed 446 VL ***:The hotspot mapping model can be essential to antiretroviral therapy *** model can provide support to decision-makers to identify VL hotspots ahead in time using cost-efficient routinely collected data.

A new locality bearing ichnofossils of the Cruziana Assemblage Zone-Ⅲ from the Mussoorie syncline,Lesser Himalaya,is located in rocks of Member-B of the Dhaulagiri formation,Tal Group,exposed along the Maldewta-Chhimoli fresh road cut *** site yielded ichnofossils Bergaueria perata,Cochlichnus anguineus,？Diplocraterion isp.,Dimorphichnus obliquus,diplichnitiform Cruziana bonariensis,Diplichnites gouldi,Glockeria isp.,Helminthopsis isp.,Monomorphichnus lineatus,Phycodes palmatum,Palaeophycus striatus,Planolites beverleyensis,Planolites montanus,Treptichnus ***,scratch marks and an undetermined worm *** Early Cambrian age （Cambrian Series 2） is assigned to the ichnofossil-bearing strata based on the stratigraphic position between the Drepanuroides and Palaeoolenus trilobite zones.A revised Cambrian ichnofossil zonation is presented for the Tal Group of the Mussoorie *** with their occurrence on rippled surfaces,and the lateral displacement of some trackways （due to current action）,a sub-aqueous shallow-marine depositional setting is proposed for the rocks of Member-B.

The management of cyanobacteria and potential exposure to associated biotoxins requires the allocation of scarce resources across a range of freshwater resources within various jurisdictions. Cost effective and reliable methods for sample processing and analysis form the foundation of the protocol yielding reliable data from which to derive important decisions. In this study the utilization of new methods to collect, process and analyze samples enhanced our ability to evaluate cyanobacterial populations. Extraction of phycocyanin using the single freeze thaw method provided more accurate and precise measurements (CV 4.7% and 6.4%), offering a simple and cost-effective means to overcome the influence of morphological variability. In-vacuo concentration of samples prior to ELISA analysis provided a detection limit of 0.001 μg·L?1 MC. fractionation of samples (?1) = ?0.279 + (1.368 ? Log PC (μg·L?1) while in an Aphanizomemon spp. dominant system Log MC (ng·L?1) = 0.385 + (0.449 ? Log PC (μg·L?1). These methods and sampling protocol could be used in other aquatic systems across a broader regional landscape to estimate the levels of microcystins.

Let f be a Maass eigenform that is a new form of level N on Γ0(N),with Laplace eigenvalue 1/4 + νf2 . Then,all its fourier coefficients {λf(n)}∞n=1 are real,and we may normalize so that λf (1) = 1. It is proved,in this paper,that the first sign change in the sequence {λf(n)}n∞=1 occurs at some n satisfying n《{(3+|νf|2)N }1/2-δ and (n,N)=1. This generalizes the previous results for holomorphic Hecke eigenforms.
