a.ea.ide ma.a.ement ha. a.long history of a.hieving solutions tha. ta.get pests; however, there ha. been little focus on the a.ea.ide ma.a.ement of a.thropod na.ura. enemies. La.dsca.e ecology studies tha. show a.positive rela.ionship between na.ura. enemy a.unda.ce a.d ha.ita. diversity demonstra.e la.dsca.e-dependent pest suppression, but ha.e not yet clea.ly linked their findings to pest ma.a.ement or to the suite of pests a.socia.ed with crops tha. require control. Instea. the focus ha. often been on model systems of single pest species a.d their na.ura. enemies. We suggest tha. ma.a.ement a.tions to ca.ture pest control from na.ura. enemies ma. be forth coming if：（i） the suite of response a.d predictor va.ia.les focus on pest complexes a.d specific ma.a.ement a.tions; （ii） the contribution of＂the la.dsca.e＂ is identified by a.sessing the timing a.d numbers of na.ura. enemies immigra.ing a.d emigra.ing to a.d from the ta.get crop, a. well a. pests; a.d （iii） pest control thresholds a.igned with crop development sta.es a.e the benchma.k to mea.ure impa.t of na.ura. enemies on pests, in turn a.lowing for compa.ison between study regions, a.d genera.iza.ions. To a.hieve pest control we will need to incorpora.e wha. ha. been lea.ned from a. ecologica. understa.ding of model pest a.d na.ura. enemy systems a.d integra.e a.ea.ide la.dsca.e ma.a.ement with in-field pest ma.a.ement.
