＜正＞Substance P（SP）,the first identified neuropeptide,has long been indicated to be involved in the vagal control of heart rate and cardiac ***,the mechanism by which SP modulate cardiac vagal activity is still not clear, and little is known about how SP alters the activity of preganglionic cardiac vagal neurons（CVNs） at the synaptic *** the present study CVNs in the nucleus ambiguus（NA） of newborn rats were retrogradedly labeled with fluorescent tracer, and were examined using whole-cell voltage patch-clamp method in brainstem *** have demonstrated that SP（1 mol/L）,while had no effect on the glutamatergic spontaneous excitatory synaptic currents（sEPSCs） of *** increased the frequency of both the GAB Aergic and glycinergic spontaneous inhibitory postsynaptic currents（sIPSCs） of *** slices with respiratory-like rhythm,the inspiratory-related frequency increases of the GAB Aergic and the glycinergic sIPSCs of CVNs were diminished by SP *** results suggested that SP inhibit CVNs via augmentation of their inhibitory inputs and diminish the respiratory-related regulation of cardiac vagal activity,which might be related to the weakened cardiac vagal tone and heart rate variability in myocardial ischemia and hypertension.

Background:The application of Pringle maneuver(PM)during hepatectomy reduces intraoperative blood loss and the need for perioperative transfusion,but its effect on long-term recurrence and survival for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remains *** sought to determine the association between the application of PM and post-hepatectomy oncologic outcomes for patients with ***:Patients who underwent curative hepatectomy for HCC at 9 Chinese hospitals from January 2010 to December 2018 were *** two propensity score methods[propensity score matching(PSM)and inverse probability of treatment weight(IPTW)],cumulative recurrence rate and cancer-specific mortality(CSM)were compared between the patients in the PM and non-PM *** competing-risks regression models were performed to adjust for the effect of non-cancer-specific mortality and other prognostic risk ***:Of the 2,798 included patients,2,404 and 394 did and did not adopt PM(the PM and non-PM groups),*** rates of intraoperative blood transfusion,postoperative 30-day mortality and morbidity were comparable between the two groups(all P>0.05).In the PSM cohort by the 1:3 ratio,compared to 382 patients in the non-PM group,1,146 patients in the PM group also had the higher cumulative 5-year recurrence rate and CSM(63.9%and 39.1%vs.55.3%and 31.6%,both Plication of the PM was independently associated with lower recurrence rate and CSM based on various analytical cohorts[hazard ratio(HR),0.82 and 0.77 in the adjusted entire cohort,HR 0.80 and 0.73 in the PSM cohort,and HR 0.80 and 0.76 in the IPTW cohort,respectively].Conclusions:The findings suggested that no application of PM during hepatectomy for patients with HCC reduced the risk of postoperative recurrence and cancer-specific death by appr

Removal of trace olefins from aromatic liquids had been investigated in the presence of various ionic liquids like 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazoliurn bromochloroaluminate （EMIMBr-AlCl3）, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromochloroaluminate （BMIMBr-AlCl3）, l-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bromochloroaluminate （HMIMBr-AlCl3）, and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bromochloroaluminate （OMIMBr-A1C13）. It was found that the longer the alkyl chain of ionic liquid cations was, the higher the olefins conversion would be. OMIMBr-AlCl3 （with 0.67 molar fraction of AlCl3） had an obvious performance on olefins removal. The influences of various reaction parameters such as the dosage of catalyst, the reaction temperature, and the reaction time on the reaction catalyzed by OMIMBr-AlCl3 were investigated. Under optimum reaction conditions, a higher than 99% conversion of olefins was achieved. The preliminary results revealed that the process could save time, consume less energy, separate products easier, and cause less pollution to the environment.

AIM: To establish an efficient, sensitive, cell-based assay system for NS3 serine protease in an effort to study further the property of hepatitis C virus (HCV) and develop new antiviral ***: We constructed pCI-neo-NS3/4A-SEAP chimeric plasmid, in which the secreted alkaline phosphatase (SEAP) was fused in-frame to the downstream of NS4A/4B cleavage site. The protease activity of NS3 was reflected by the activity of SEAP in the culture media of transient or stable expression cells. Stably expressing cell lines were obtained by G418 selection. Pefabloc SC, a potent irreversible serine protease inhibitor, was used to treat the stably expressing cell lines to assess the system for screening NS3 inhibitors. To compare the activity of serine proteases from 1b and 1a, two chimeric clones were constructed and introduced into both transient and stable expression ***: The SEAP activity in the culture media could be detected in both transient and stable expression systems,and was apparently decreased after Pefabloc SC *** both transient and stable systems, NS3/4A-SEAP chimeric gene from HCV genotype 1b produced higher SEAP activity in the culture media than that from ***: The cell-based system is efficient and sensitive enough for detection and comparison of NS3 protease activity, and screening of anti-NS3 inhibitors. The functional difference between NS3/4A from 1a and 1b subtypes revealed by this system provides a clue for further investigations.

Nowadays, there are many larger and taller engineering structures than in the past. These structures are commonly designed to be more flexible. Thus, they are sensitive to severe wind gust and earthquake tremor. For the dynamic response prediction, finite element (FE) modal updating and structural health monitoring, the dynamic characteristics of a structure are becoming increasingly important. The aim of this paper is to show an emerging tool-the real time kinematic (RTK) global positioning system (GPS), which is used to measure and monitor the low-frequency vibration of Dalian BeiDa Bridge, a medium span suspension bridge. The modal analysis is firstly performed on the developed three-dimensional FE model according to the original blue prints of the bridge to provide the analytical frequencies and mode shapes. The field ambient vibration tests using the accelerometers on the bridge deck are conducted just prior to the use of the GPS system in order to validate the FE model. And then, the calibration test is done to assess the dynamic displacement measurement accuracy of the GPS in three orthogonal directions. The GPS signal properties, such as the amplitude, standard deviations (STD), power spectral density (PSD), and probability density functions (PDF), are studied in details. After that, a structural health monitoring system based on the GPS is devised and installed on the bridge to provide real-time measurement of deck movement. The output-only modal parameter identification is carried out by using the Periodogram method to investigate the responses of the bridge. The result shows that the spectral densities of the displacements measured by the GPS correspond well with the results by the FEM analysis and the accelerometer vibration test. It is concluded that the GPS method is reliable and useful to clarify the ambient vibration response behaviors of the flexible structures. The present study examined formalin nociceptive conditioning-induced changes in the expression of NMDA receptor subunits NR1,NR2A,and NR2B in the rostral ACC（rACC） and its possible functional *** A combination of immunohistochemical staining,western blot,electrophysiological recording,antisense knockdown and formalininduced conditioned place avoidance（F-CPA） rat behavioral model that directly reflects the affective component of pain was used in the present *** We found that unilateral interplanetary（***.） injection of dilute formalin with or without contextual conditioning exposure markedly increased the expression of NMDA receptor subunits NR2A and NR2B but not NR1 in the bilateral ***-evoked currents in rACC neurons were significantly greater in formalintreated rats than that of naive or normal saline-treated *** blocking either NR2A or NR2B subunit in the rACC abolished the acquisition of F-CPA and formalin nociceptive conditioning-induced Fos expression,but did not affect formalin acute nociceptive behaviors and non-nociceptive aversive stimulus-induced *** These results suggest that both NMDA receptor subunits NR2A and NR2B in the rACC are critically involved in pain-related aversion. Thus,a new strategy targeted at NMDA NR2A or NR2B subunit might be raised for the prevention of pain-related emotional disturbance.
