The ^(12)C+^(12)C fusion is one of the most important reactions in modern nuclear *** trend and magnitude of the reaction rate within the Gamow window strongly influence various astrophysical ***,direct measurement of this reaction is extremely difficult,which makes it necessary to develop indirect *** this study,the ^(23)Na+p reaction system was used to study the compound nucleus ^(24)*** employed a thick-target inverse kinematics method combined with theγ-charged-particle coincidence technique to measure the proton andα exit channels of ^(24)*** details of the ^(23)Na+p thick-target inverse kinematics experiment and analysis are presented herein.

Tobacco smoking and some types of occupational exposures have consistently been considered as important etiologic factors of lung cancer in industrial countries. At the First World Conference of Lung Cancer (Wyndwer, 1983), it was stressed that more attention should be paid to finding out the causes of lung cancer in non-smokers.In Xuanwei County, Yunnan Province, annual lung cancer death rate was 27.7 per 100,000 in males, among China's highest, and 25.3 per 100,000 in females, the China's highest. The female's lung cancer death rate in Xuanwei County was even much higher than that of the same period in USA white women (ECACM, 1979; Mulvihill, 1976). Marked district variation in cancer mortality exists within Xuanwei County. The county can be divided into high-, medium- and low-mortality areas. Over 90% of the population arc farmers. The local residents traditionally burned three major kinds of fuels: 'smoky' coal, 'smokeless' coal and 'wood', for heating and cooking. The three lung cancer high mortality areas, including 'Chengguan', 'Rongcheng' and 'Laibin' communes, mainly burned the 'smoky' coal from Laibin smoky-coal mine. The fuel was burned in a shallow, unventilated fire pit in the floor of the dwelling. Fuel burning in shallow unventilated pits has resulted in high indoor air pollution levels. The concentrations of airborne particles (pm 10) inside houses during smoky coal and wood combustion were very high. Indoor concentration of suspended particulates and dichloromethane extractable organics were 24.4mg/m3 and 17.6mg/m3 in burning of 'smoky' coal; 22.3mg/m3, 12.3mg/m3 for burning wood; and 1.8mg/m3, ***/m-1 for burning of smokeless coals. Levels of individual polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, including benzo(a)pyrene, were generally highest during burning of smoky coal, intermediate in burning wood, and least in smokeless coal. Women did most household chores, which include starting fire and cooking. Less than 0.2% of females smoked tobacco.

The prediction of precipitation depends on accurate modeling of terrestrial *** recent decades,the trait-based plant hydraulic stress scheme has been developed in land surface models,in order to better predict the hydraulic constraint on terrestrial ***,the role that each plant functional trait plays in the modeling of transpiration remains *** importance of different plant functional traits for modeled transpiration needs to be ***,the Morris sensitivity analysis method was implemented in the Common Land Model with the plant hydraulic stress scheme(CoLM-P_(50)HS).Traits related to drought tolerance(P_(50);),stomata,and photosynthesis were screened as the most critical from all 17 plant *** 12 FLUXNET sites,the importance of P_(50);,measured by normalized sensitivity scores,increased towards lower precipitation,whereas the importance of stomatal traits and photosynthetic traits decreased towards drier climate conditions.P_(50);was more important than stomatal traits and photosynthetic traits in arid or semi-arid sites,which implies that hydraulic safety strategies are more crucial than plant growth strategies when plants frequently experience *** variation in drought tolerance traits further proved the coexistence of multiple plant strategies of hydraulic *** the variation in drought tolerance traits may potentially bias the modeling of *** measurements of drought tolerance traits are therefore necessary to help better represent the diversity of plant hydraulic functions.

The reaction dynamics of exotic nuclei near the drip line is one of the main research topics of current *** scattering is a useful probe for investigating the size and surface diffuseness of exotic *** development of rare isotope accelerators offers opportunities for such *** date,many relevant measurements have been performed at accelerators using the projectile fragmentation technique,while the measurements at accelerators using isotope separator on-line(ISOL)systems are still quite *** this work,we present the first proof-of-principle experiment with a post-accelerated ISOL beam at the Beijing Radioactive Ion Beam Facility(BRIF)by measuring the angular distribution of elastic scattering for the stable nucleus^(23)Na from the doubly magic nucleus^(40)Ca at energies above the Coulomb *** angular distribution measured by a silicon strip detector array in a scattering chamber using the ISOL beam at BRIF is in good agreement with that measured by the high-precision Q3 D magnetic spectrograph using the nonISOL beam at nearly the same *** work provides useful background for making BRIF a powerful tool for the investigation of the reaction dynamics of exotic nuclei.

The booming of wearable electronics has nourished the progress on developing multifunctional energy storage systems with versatile flexibility, which enable the continuous and steady power supply even under various deformed states. In this sense, the synergy of flexible energy and electronic devices to construct integrative wearable microsystems is meaningful but remains quite challenging by far. Herein, we devise an innovative supercapacitor/sensor integrative wearable device that is based upon our designed vanadium nitride-graphene (VN-G) architectures. Flexible quasi-solid-state VN-G supercapacitor with ultralight and binder-free features deliver a specific capacitance of^53 F·g^-1 with good cycle stability. On the other hand, VN-G derived pressure sensors fabricated throughout a spray-printing process also manifest favorably high sensitivity (40 kPa^-1 at the range of 2-10 kPa), fast response time (~130 ms), perfect skin conformability, and outstanding stability under static and dynamic pressure conditions. In tum, their complementary unity into a self-powered wearable sensor enables the precise detecti on of physiological motions ranging from pulse rate to phonetic recognition, holding promise for in-practical health monitoring applications.
