In this work, an experimental study of melting heat transfer of nano-enhanced phase change materials(NePCM) in a differentially-heated rectangular cavity was performed. Two height-to-width aspect ratios of the cavity, i.e., 0.9 and 1.5, were investigated. The model Ne PCM samples were prepared by dispersing graphene nanoplatelets(GNP) into 1-tetradecanol, having a nominal melting point of 37℃, at loadings up to 3 wt.%. The viscosity was found to have a more than 10-fold increase at the highest loading of GNP. During the melting experiments, the wall superheat at the heating boundary was set to be 10℃ or 30℃. It was shown that with increasing the loading of GNP, both the heat storage and heat transfer rates during melting decelerate to some extent, at all geometrical and thermal configurations. This suggested that the use of NePCM in such cavity may not be able to enhance the heat storage rate due to the dramatic growth in viscosity, which deteriorates significantly natural convective heat transfer during melting to overweigh the enhanced heat conduction by only a decent increase in thermal conductivity. This also suggested that the numerically predicted melting accelerations and heat transfer enhancements, as a result of the increased thermal conductivity, in the literature are likely overestimated because the negative effects due to viscosity growth are underestimated.

A call admission control scheme is proposed for real-time services in packet-switched orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （OFDM） wireless cellular networks. The main idea of the proposed scheme is to use maximum acceptance ratio to maintain maximum channel utilization for real-time services according to the desired packet-level and call- level quality-of-service （QoS） requirements. The acceptance ratio is periodically adjusted by using a time discrete Markov chain and Wiener prediction theory according to the varying traffic load. Extensive simulation results show that this algorithm maintains high channel utilization, even as it guarantees packet-level and call-level QoS requirements for real-time services.

In this paper, we construct the Darboux transformation(DT) for the reverse-time integrable nonlocal nonlinear Schrodinger equation by loop group method. Then we utilize the DT to derive soliton solutions with zero seed. We investigate the dynamical properties for those solutions and present a sufficient condition for the non-singularity of multi-soliton ***, the asymptotic analysis of bounded multi-solutions has also been established by the determinant formula.

AIM: To evaluate the spatiotemporal expression pattern of PPARγ in embryonic and early postnatal stages of rat ***: Fetal rats were collected at 13-18 d of gestation(GD) from pregnant females and postnatal rats at 1d(P1) and 5d(P5) after birth were also used. We used RT-PCR to detect PPARγ m RNA and immunohistochemical to observe PPARγ protein. And at last, we chose HE staining showed the structural changes of rat retina during development.· RESULTS: RT-PCR analysis showed that PPARγm RNA was expressed as early as GD13 and gradually decreased as maturation continued. However, the PPARγgene expression significantly increased after birth,especially in P5. Immunohistochemical analysis showed PPARγ protein was expressed throughout the retinal neuroepithelium at GD13 and GD14, and then decreased during late embryogenesis but remained relatively high in the predicted ganglion cell zone. During postnatal development, PPARγ protein was remarkably increased and the positive signals were mainly located in nerve fiber layer(NFL), ganglion cell layer(GCL) and outer layers of the ***: The spatiotemporal changes of PPARγexpression demonstrated that PPARγ might play a role in regulating the differentiation and maturation of retinal cells.

The current and dominant theory about the origin of modern humans is the out-of-Africa hypothesis, which asserts that populations of Homo sapiens left Africa 100,000 years ago and replaced indigenous populations of humans in Eurasia. Many scholars equated the out-of-Africa dispersal of humans with paleoenvironmental changes. However, until now, few have paid special attention to the faunal data and whether or not faunal patterns are supportive of the popular theory. Recent comparative study of the Chinese fauna shows that the communication of faunas between Africa and East Asia could have occurred during the Neogene, but it was very limited during the Pleistocene. In the Chinese Quaternary fauna, only 16% of the genera are also present in the sub-Saharan African fauna. There is also no element among the dominant taxa of the Chinese Quaternary fauna which can be related to the African fauna. There is no reliable proof for the existence of Hippopotamus and Giraffa, as well as Panthera leo, during the Quaternary in China. Two controversial taxa are Acinonyx and Crocuta, about which there is still argument concerning their species identification in Eurasia. It is possible that both of the genera have co-specific taxa in Africa and Eurasia. Although the two genera are confined to Africa today, they did have a long evolutionary history in China. For the Out of Africa hypothesis for Homo sapiens, the implications of the limited faunal interchanges between China and Africa are not completely clear yet.

Osteoporosis(OP)is a prevalent metabolic bone *** drug therapy is essential to prevent bone loss in osteoporotic patients,current treatments are limited by side effects and high costs,necessitating the development of more effective and safer targeted *** a zebrafish(Danio rerio)larval model of osteoporosis,we explored the influence of the metabolite spermine on bone *** showed that spermine exhibited dual activity in osteoporotic zebrafish larvae by increasing bone formation and decreasing bone *** not only demonstrated excellent biosafety but also mitigated prednisolone-induced embryonic neurotoxicity and ***,spermine showcased protective attributes in the nervous systems of both zebrafish embryos and *** the molecular level,Rac1 was identified as playing a pivotal role in mediating the antiosteoporotic effects of spermine,with P53 potentially acting downstream of *** findings were confirmed using mouse(Mus musculus)models,in which spermine not only ameliorated osteoporosis but also promoted bone formation and mineralization under healthy conditions,suggesting strong potential as a bonestrengthening *** study underscores the beneficial role of spermine in osteoporotic bone homeostasis and skeletal system development,highlighting pivotal molecular *** their efficacy and safety,human endogenous metabolites like spermine are promising candidates for new anti-osteoporotic drug development and daily bone-fortifying agents.

The interstitial space, a widespread fluid-filled compartment throughout the body, is related to many pathophysiological alterations and diseases, attracting increasing attention. The vital role of interstitial space in malaria infection and treatment has been neglected current research efforts. We confirmed the reinfection capacity of parasites sequestrated in interstitial space, which replenish the mechanism of recurrence. Malaria parasite-infected mice were treated with artemisinin-loaded liposomes through the interstitial space and exhibited a better therapeutic response. Notably, compared with oral administration, interstitial administration showed an unexpectedly high activation and recruitment of immune cells, and resulted in better clearance of sequestered parasites from organs, and enhanced pathological recovery. The interstitial route of administration prolongs the blood circulation time of artemisinin and increases its plasma concentration, and may compensate for the inefficiency of oral administration and the nanotoxicity of intravenous administration, providing a potential strategy for infectious disease therapy.
