Influence of a Program Combining Amusement and Exercise on Subjective Well-Being: Six-Month Intervention Study with a Complex-Type Program for Community-Dwelling Elderly Subjects

Background: Health promotion for the elderly mainly targets improvements in physical function, and a lack of strengthening of subjective well-being as well as the creation of interaction-providing opportunities for activity and participation has been reported. Evaluations of positive and negative aspects for subjective well-being are needed. Elderly subjects were intervened through a 6-month complex-type program combining amusement and exercise and its influences on subjective well-being and physical and physiological functions were investigated. Methods: Subjects in this survey were 37 healthy elderly females living in M city, Hiroshima Prefecture (age: 69.7 ± 5.9 years old), and the survey was performed between September 2016 and March 2017. The complex-type program comprised amusement and exercise programs. The survey was performed at 4 time points during the intervention period: before the intervention and 1, 3, and 6 months during the intervention. Subjective well-being (Japanese version of the Subjective Well-being Inventory (SUBI): Mental health scores, Mental fatigue scores), salivary amylase levels, and the locomotive syndrome risk test (two-step test, stand-up test, and 25-question risk assessment) were surveyed at each time point. Regarding the duration of the intervention as a factor, changes in salivary amylase levels were analyzed using repeated measures one-way ANOVA and SUBI was tested using the Friedman test (EZR Ver 1.32). In addition, the relationship between the locomotive syndrome risk level and duration of the intervention was examined using Fisher’s test. Results: SUBI and the locomotive syndrome risk level significantly differed with time during the intervention. Slight changes were observed in salivary amylase levels during the intervention. Conclusion: The present results suggest that the complex-type program promoted interactions among community-dwelling elderly subjects and positively influenced the maintenance of and improvements in physical and physiological functions. 元宇宙作为整合多项前沿技术于一体的新型数字空间,能够与各个行业协同碰撞,实现创新性的、高效的价值转化。非遗作为中华传统文化的瑰宝,其创造性转化和创新性发展是中国特色社会主义文化建设的重要内容,两者结合符合科技赋能文化产业的必然趋势。对于非遗后继乏人、产品单薄、传承空间缺失的发展困境,可凭借元宇宙时空拓展性、高沉浸、强交互等特性,建立虚拟社区,使参与主体多元化;创新转化非遗资源,促进内容生产;搭建数字化平台,提供文化发展空间,创新生产和消费场景等,以此赋能非遗的“两创”。尽管实践过程中仍面临硬件设备与关键技术落地差距、法律体系与商业模式尚不清晰完备、元宇宙与非遗相关人才支持不足等困难,但随着科技的进一步发展与法律法规的不断健全,愈发成熟的元宇宙定能帮助非遗焕发出新的生机。

Efficacy of tolvaptan in an infant with syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion associated with holoprosencephaly:A case report

BACKGROUND Holoprosencephaly(HPE)is a congenital malformation with various degrees of incomplete separation of the cerebral hemispheres due to differentiation disorders of the forebrain.Although HPE with diabetes insipidus due to associated pituitary dysfunction has been reported,HPE with the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion(SIADH)is very rare.Tolvaptan,a vasopressin V2 receptor antagonist,is effective in adults with SIADH.However,there is no report of its efficacy in infants with SIADH.The purpose of this report is to demonstrate that tolvaptan is effective for SIADH in infants and that administration of tolvaptan eliminates the need for restriction of water intake and sodium administration.CASE SUMMARY A 2414-g female infant was born at 38 wk by normal vaginal delivery.Facial anomalies and head magnetic resonance imaging indicated semilobar HPE.After birth,she had hyponatremia due to SIADH and was treated using water and sodium restriction.However,she developed an exaggerated response to the fluid restrictions,resulting in large fluctuations in serum sodium levels.Subsequent administration of tolvaptan improved the fluctuations in serum sodium levels without the need for adjustment of water or sodium administration.Serum sodium was maintained within the normal range after discontinuation of tolvaptan at 80 d of life.There were no side effects,such as hypernatremia or liver dysfunction,during the administration of tolvaptan.CONCLUSION This is the first report on the safety and efficacy of tolvaptan in an infant with SIADH associated with HPE.

Objective:Pneumocystis pneumonia(PcP)is a life-threatening infection caused by the opportunistic fungi Pneumocystis jirovecii.The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the focus of attention of health policymakers on these two infections due to their clinical and paraclinical similarities,which cause diagnostic dilemmas.This study was undertaken to evaluate and estimate the global prevalence and main leading risk factors of coronavirus-associated pneumocystosis(CAP).Methods:We searched related databases between December 2019 and May 2022 for studies reporting CAP.Meta-analysis was performed using StatsDirect software(version 2.7.9)according to the DerSimonian and Laird method applying the random-effects model.We evaluated heterogeneity using theχ2-based Q statistic(significant for P75%indicative of“notable”heterogeneity).Moreover,an odds ratio(OR)analysis was performed for eligible data.Results:Our meta-analysis included eight studies with 923 patients hospitalized with COVID-19;among them,92 were PcP cases.The overall pooled prevalence of CAP was estimated at 11.5%.The mortality among CAP patients was lower than that of non-PcP patients(OR 1.93;95%CI 0.86-4.31).Long-term corticosteroid therapy(OR 28.22;95%CI 0.54-1480.84)was the most predisposing factor for PcP among COVID-19 patients,followed by pulmonary diseases(OR 1.46;95%CI 0.43-4.98),kidney diseases(OR 1.26;95%CI 0.21-7.49),and acute respiratory destruction syndrome(OR 1.22;95%CI 0.05-29.28).Conclusions:The prevalence of PcP among the COVID-19 population is almost similar to the pre-COVID era.However,PcP-related mortality was decreased by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.Women with COVID-19 are more susceptible to PcP than men.Acute respiratory distress syndrome,kidney diseases,pulmonary diseases,and long-term corticosteroid therapy increased the risk of PcP;however,transplantation and malignancy decreased the risk for PcP among COVID-19 patients.Further retrospective,case-control,prospective,and more precisely systema

【目的】缺水是影响干旱区葡萄种植的主要因素之一,因此有必要筛选抗旱鲜食葡萄品种和葡萄抗旱的相关指标。【方法】以丽红宝、晶红宝、无核翠宝等11个鲜食葡萄品种幼苗为材料,进行自然干旱处理,测定其电导率、叶绿素含量和叶绿素荧光参数,利用相关性分析、主成分分析、聚类分析和灰色关联度分析相结合的方法,综合评价幼苗抗旱性差异并筛选相关指标。【结果】干旱胁迫对植株相对电导率、叶绿素含量和叶绿素荧光参数均有显著影响。相关性分析表明,Rfd与NPQ,F_(m)与Fp、F_(v)、F_(v)/F_(m),Fp与F_(v)、F_(v)/F_(m),F_(v)与F_(v)/F_(m),叶绿素a含量与总叶绿素含量呈极显著正相关(p秋红宝>茉莉香>巨茉莉>无核白>晶红宝>火焰无核>晚黑宝>无核翠宝>克瑞森无核>早霞玫瑰。聚类分析将11个葡萄品种分为3个抗旱级别,第1类是高抗旱品种(秋红宝和丽红宝);第2类是中抗旱品种(晶红宝、无核白、巨茉莉和茉莉香);第3类是低抗旱品种(克瑞森无核、晚黑宝、早霞玫瑰、无核翠宝和火焰无核)。灰色关联度分析显示叶绿素a含量、叶绿素b含量、类胡萝卜素含量、总光合色素含量、根系相对电导率和NPQ 6个指标与葡萄幼苗抗旱性密切相关。【结论】秋红宝和丽红宝抗旱性较强,适合在干旱及半干旱地区推广种植。叶片的光合色素含量、根系相对电导率和NPQ可作为评价葡萄抗旱性的可靠指标。

Microstructure and Impression Creep Properties of Ca-Containing AS31 Magnesium Alloy

The effect of Ca addition on the microstructure and impression creep properties of AS31 magnesium alloy was investigated in the current study. The results showed that the microstructure of AS31 alloy is composed of α（Mg） phase, massive Mg17Al12 and some Chinese script Mg2Si compounds. Addition of 2 wt% Ca to AS31 alloy resulted in complete elimination of MglTAl12 phase and formation of Al2Ca compound. Ca improved the alloy＇s creep properties especially at higher temperature. Improvement in the creep properties was attributed to the elimination of soft Mg17Al12 and formation of thermally stable Al2Ca compound. According to the obtained stress exponent and creep activation energy, pipe diffusion climb-controlled creep was estimated as the dominant creep mechanism and Ca had no influence on the dominant mechanism.

Performance of fluoride and boron compounds against drywood and subterranean termites and decay and mold fungi

Sodium fluoride（NaF） and disodium octaborate tetrahydrate（DOT） are well-known fungicides for preventing and remediating decay in wood and wood structures,due to their excellent diffusion properties in wood.The efficacy of both compounds against drywood termites is,however,inadequately studied;there is a lack of information on the development of proper protection and control methods against drywood termites using these diffusible chemicals.In this study,the threshold values of fluoride and boron against drywood and subterranean termites and decay and mold fungi were assessed in laboratory conditions.Treated Cryptomeria japonica D.Don（sugi） sapwood specimens with four different concentrations of NaF and DOT applied by either dipping or vacuum processes were subjected to attack by drywood termites,Incisitermes minor（Hagen） for 6 weeks.Treated specimens were also tested against subterranean termites,Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki for 3 weeks.Laboratory decay and mold resistance tests were then performed to determine the efficacy of the compounds against fungal attack.Results showed 80% or greater drywood termite mortality in wood specimens treated with NaF at a retention level of1.7 kg m;or more.In DOT treated groups,higher retention levels(greater than 6.8 kg m;) were needed to reach up to 80% or more termite mortality.In general,weight losses in NaF-treated specimens were slightly lower than those in DOT-treated ones.Retention levels of around1.2 kg m;for NaF and 1.6 kg m;for DOT were high enough to reach the JIS K 1571 threshold requirement of weight loss less than 3% in subterranean termite resistance tests.Slightly higher termite mortality values were seen in the DOT than NaF treatments at respective retention levels.In decay resistance tests,no weight losses were seen at a NaF retention level of 2.3 kg m;;however,a retention level of nearly 4 kg m;for DOT was needed for complete protection against both test fungi.In most cases,lower weight losses were obtained in NaF-treated specimens when compared to DOT.In mo

Eth2Vec:Learning contract-wide code representations for vulnerability detection on Ethereum smart contracts

Ethereum smart contracts are computer programs that are deployed and executed on the Ethereum blockchain to enforce agreements among untrusting parties.Being the most prominent platform that supports smart contracts,Ethereum has been targeted by many attacks and plagued by security incidents.Consequently,many smart contract vulnerabilities have been discovered in the past decade.To detect and prevent such vulnerabilities,different security analysis tools,including static and dynamic analysis tools,have been created,but their performance decreases drastically when codes to be analyzed are constantly being rewritten.In this paper,we propose Eth2Vec,a machine-learning-based static analysis tool that detects smart contract vulnerabilities.Eth2Vec maintains its robustness against code rewrites;i.e.,it can detect vulnerabilities even in rewritten codes.Other machine-learning-based static analysis tools require features,which analysts create manually,as inputs.In contrast,Eth2Vec uses a neural network for language processing to automatically learn the features of vulnerable contracts.In doing so,Eth2Vec can detect vulnerabilities in smart contracts by comparing the similarities between the codes of a target contract and those of the learned contracts.We performed experiments with existing open databases,such as Etherscan,and Eth2Vec was able to outperform a recent model based on support vector machine in terms of well-known metrics,i.e.,precision,recall,and F1-score.

Movement of boron from ulexite and colemanite minerals in sapwood and heartwood of Cryptomeria japonica

This study evaluated boron diff usion from raw boron minerals ulexite and colemanite with low water solubility in comparison to disodium octaborate tetrahydrate(DOT).Tests were conducted using sugi(Cryptomeria japonica(L.)f.D.Don)sapwood and heartwood blocks conditioned to 30,60,and 90%target moisture content.The blocks were fi lled with the boron compounds through treatment holes and diff usion was observed at three assay zones across the blocks after 7,30,60 or 90-day incubation period at room temperatures.For comparison,ethylene glycol was also introduced into the holes to elevate boron diff usion.As expected,diff usion increased with increased moisture content and levels were higher at the 60%and 90%moisture levels compared to the 30%level.With some exceptions,boron levels did not follow consistent gradients with distance away from the treatment hole.Incorporation of ethylene glycol helped increase boron levels,even in heartwood blocks.Boron levels were higher from the ulexite source than from colemanite;however,DOT treatments resulted in the highest boron diff usion rates as a result of greater water solubility compared to both raw boron minerals.The results suggest that ulexite together with ethylene glycol may be useful in both sapwood and heartwood materials when kept at high moisture levels for extended periods.
