We consider a discrete-time multi-server finite-capacity queueing system with correlated batch arrivals and deterministic service times (of single slot), which has a variety of potential applications in slotted digital telecommunication systems and other related areas. For this queueing system, we present, based on Mark.v chain analysis, not only the steady-state distributions but also the transient distributions of the system length and of the system waiting time in a simple and unified manner. From these distributions, important performance measures of practical interest can be easily obtained. Numerical examples concerning the superposition of certain video traffics are presented at the end.

BACk.ROUND Cervical necrotizing fasciitis(CNF)is a rare,aggressive form of deep neck.space infection with significant morbidity and mortality rates.Serial surgical debridement acts as the cornerstone of CNF treatment;however,it often results in defects requiring complex reconstructions.CASE SUMMARY We report two cases in which the k.ystone flap(k.)was used for CNF defect coverage:Case 1,an 85-year-old patient with CNF in the anterior neck.and Case 2,a 54-year-old patient with CNF in the posterior neck.Both patients received empirical intravenous antibiotic therapy and underwent serial debridement,enabling adequate wound preparation and stabilization.The final defect size measured 5.5 cm×12 cm in Case 1 and 6 cm×11 cm in Case 2.For defect coverage,we employed an 8 cm×19 cm type II k. based on perforators from the superior thyroid artery in Case 1 and a 9 cm×18 cm type II k. based on perforators from the transverse cervical artery in Case 2.Both flaps showed complete survival.No postoperative complications occurred in both cases,and favorable outcomes were observed at 7-and 6-month follow-ups in case 1 and 2,respectively.CONCLUSION We effectively treated CNF-associated defects using the k. technique;k. is viable for covering CNF defects in carefully selected cases.

Sleep posture surveillance is crucial for patient comfort,yet current systems face difficulties in providing compre-hensive studies due to the obstruction caused by blank.ts.Precise posture assessment remains challenging because of the complex nature of the human body and variations in sleep patterns.Consequently,this study introduces an innovative method utilizing RGB and thermal cameras for comprehensive posture classification,thereby enhancing the analysis of body position and comfort.This method begins by capturing a dataset of sleep postures in the form of videos using RGB and thermal cameras,which depict six commonly adopted postures:supine,left log,right log,prone head,prone left,and prone right.The study involves 10 participants under two conditions:with and without blank.ts.Initially,the database is normalized into a video frame.The subsequent step entails training a fine-tuned,pretrained Visual Geometry Group(VGG16)and ResNet50 model.In the third phase,the extracted features are utilized for classification.The fourth step of the proposed approach employs a serial fusion technique based on the normal distribution to merge the vectors derived from both the RGB and thermal datasets.Finally,the fused vectors are passed to machine learning classifiers for final classification.The dataset,which includes human sleep postures used in this study’s experiments,achieved a 96.7%accuracy rate using the Quadratic Support Vector Machine(QSVM)without the blank.t.Moreover,the Linear SVM,when utilized with a blank.t,attained an accuracy of 96%.When normal distribution serial fusion was applied to the blank.t features,it resulted in a remark.ble average accuracy of 99%.

In this article,multiple attribute decision-mak.ng problems are solved using the vague normal set(VNS).It is possible to generalize the vague set(VS)and q-rung fuzzy set(FS)into the q-rung vague set(VS).A log q-rung normal vague weighted averaging(log q-rung NVWA),a log q-rung normal vague weighted geometric(log q-rung NVWG),a log generalized q-rung normal vague weighted averaging(log Gq-rung NVWA),and a log generalized q-rungnormal vagueweightedgeometric(logGq-rungNVWG)operator are discussed in this article.Adescription is provided of the scoring function,accuracy function and operational laws of the log q-rung VS.The algorithms underlying these functions are also described.A numerical example is provided to extend the Euclidean distance and the Humming distance.Additionally,idempotency,boundedness,commutativity,and monotonicity of the log q-rung VS are examined as they facilitate recognizing the optimal alternative more quick.y and help clarify conceptualization.We chose five anemia patients with four types of symptoms including seizures,emotional shock.or hysteria,brain cause,and high fever,who had either retrograde amnesia,anterograde amnesia,transient global amnesia,post-traumatic amnesia,or infantile amnesia.Natural numbers q are used to express the results of the models.To demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the models we are investigating,we compare several existing models with those that have been developed.

Intelligent applications,with tactile sensors at their core,represent significant advancement in the field of artificial intelligence.However,achieving perception abilities in tactile sensors that match or exceed human sk.n remains a formidable challenge.Consequently,the design and implementation of hierarchical structural materials are considered the optimal solution to this challenge.In contrast to conventional methods,such as complicated lithography and three-dimensional printing,the cost-effective and scalable nature of advanced solution-synthesis methods mak.s them ideal for preparing diverse tactile sensors with hierarchical structural materials.However,the process and applicability of advanced solution synthesis methods have yet to form a seamless system.Accordingly,the development and intellectualization of tactile sensors based on advanced solution synthesis methods are still in their early stages,and require a comprehensive and systematic review to usher in progress.This study delves into the advantages and disadvantages of various advanced solution synthesis methods,providing detailed insights.Furthermore,the positive effects of hierarchical structural materials constructed using these methods in tactile sensors and their intelligent applications are also discussed in depth.Finally,the challenges and future opportunities faced by this emerging field are summarized.

We study the structure of rings which satisfy the von Neumann regularity of commutators,and call a ring R C-regularif ab-ba ∈(ab-ba)R(ab-ba)for all a,b in R.For a C-regular ring R,we prove J(R[X])=N^(*)(R[X])=N^(*)(R)[X]=W(R)[X]■Z(R[X]),where J(A),N^(*)(A),W(A),Z(A)are the Jacobson radical,upper nilradical,Wedderburn radical,and center of a given ring A,respectively,and A[X]denotes the polynomial ring with a set X of commuting indeterminates over A;we also prove that R is semiprime if and only if the right(left)singular ideal of R is zero.We provide methods to construct C-regular rings which are neither commutative nor von Neumann regular,from any given ring.Moreover,for a C-regular ring R,the following are proved to be equivalent:(i)R is Abelian;(ii)every prime factor ring of R is a duo domain;(ii)R is quasi-duo;and(iv)R/W(R)is reduced.

Neuromorphic hardware equipped with associative learn-ing capabilities presents fascinating applications in the next generation of artificial intelligence.However,research into synaptic devices exhibiting complex associative learning behaviors is still nascent.Here,an optoelec-tronic memristor based on Ag/TiO_(2) Nanowires:ZnO Quantum dots/FTO was proposed and constructed to emulate the biological associative learning behaviors.Effective implementation of synaptic behaviors,including long and short-term plasticity,and learning-forgetting-relearning behaviors,were achieved in the device through the application of light and electrical stimuli.Leveraging the optoelectronic co-modulated characteristics,a simulation of neuromorphic computing was conducted,resulting in a handwriting digit recognition accuracy of 88.9%.Furthermore,a 3×7 memristor array was constructed,confirming its application in artificial visual memory.Most importantly,complex biological associative learning behaviors were emulated by mapping the light and electrical stimuli into conditioned and unconditioned stimuli,respectively.After training through associative pairs,reflexes could be triggered solely using light stimuli.Comprehen-sively,under specific optoelectronic signal applications,the four features of classical conditioning,namely acquisition,extinction,recovery,and generalization,were elegantly emulated.This work.provides an optoelectronic memristor with associative behavior capabilities,offering a pathway for advancing brain-machine interfaces,autonomous robots,and machine self-learning in the future.

Anthropogenic methane emissions are a leading cause of the increase in global averagetemperatures,often referred to as global warming.Flooded soils play a significant role in methaneproduction,where the anaerobic conditions promote the production of methane by methanogenicmicroorganisms.Rice fields contribute a considerable portion of agricultural methane emissions,as riceplants provide both factors that enhance and limit methane production.Rice plants harbor both methaneproducingand methane-oxidizing microorganisms.Exudates from rice roots provide source for methaneproduction,while oxygen delivered from the root aerenchyma enhances methane oxidation.Studies haveshown that the diversity of these microorganisms depends on rice cultivars with some genes characterizedas harboring specific groups of microorganisms related to methane emissions.However,there is still aneed for research to determine the balance between methane production and oxidation,as rice plantspossess the ability to regulate net methane production.Various agronomical practices,such as fertilizerand water management,have been employed to mitigate methane emissions.Nevertheless,studiescorrelating agronomic and chemical management of methane with productivity are limited.Moreover,evidences for breeding low-methane-emitting rice varieties are scattered largely due to the absence ofcoordinated breeding programs.Research has indicated that phenotypic characteristics,such as rootbiomass,shoot architecture,and aerenchyma,are highly correlated with methane emissions.This reviewdiscusses available studies that involve the correlation between plant characteristics and methaneemissions.It emphasizes the necessity and importance of breeding low-methane-emitting rice varieties inaddition to existing agronomic,biological,and chemical practices.The review also delves into the idealphenotypic and physiological characteristics of low-methane-emitting rice and potential breeding techniques,drawing from studies conducted with diverse varieties,mutants,and transgenic p

Efficient and cost-effective electrocatalysts that can operate across a wide range of pH conditions are essential for green hydrogen production.Inspired by biological systems,Fe_(7)S_(8)nanoparticles incorporated on polydopamine matrix electrocatalyst were synthesized by co-precipitation and annealing process.The resulting Fe_(7)S_(8)/C electrocatalyst possesses a three-dimensional structure and exhibits enhanced electrocatalytic performance for hydrogen production across various pH conditions.Notably,the Fe_(7)S_(8)/C electrocatalyst demonstrates exceptional activity,achieving low overpotentials of 90.6,45.9,and 107.4 mV in acidic,neutral,and alk.line environments,respectively.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveals that Fe_(7)S_(8)/C exhibits the lowest charge transfer resistance under neutral conditions,indicating an improved proton-coupled electron transfer process.Continuous-wave electron paramagnetic resonance results confirm a change in the valence state of Fe from 3+to 1+during the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).These findings closely resemble the behavior of natural[FeFe]-hydrogenase,k.own for its superior hydrogen production in neutral conditions.The remark.ble performance of our Fe_(7)S_(8)/C electrocatalyst opens up new possibilities for utilizing bioinspired materials as catalysts for the HER.
