Tomato is an important field crop,and nutritional imbalances frequently reduce its *** and Recommendation Integrated System(DRIS),uses ratios for nutrient deficiency diagnosis instead of absolute concentration in plant *** this study,local DRIS norms for the field tomatoes were established and the nutrient(s)limiting tomatoes yield were *** leaves were analyzed for nutrients,to identify nutritional status using the DRIS *** hundred tomatoes fields were selected from Chatter Plain Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Sheikupura Punjab *** first fully matured leaf was sampled,rinsed,dried and ground for analyzing P,K,Ca,Mg,Cu,Fe,Mn and Zn using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer(ICP AES).Plant tissue N and S were measured by the combustion *** tomatoes yields were recorded at each *** data were divided into high-yielding(≥3.79 kg/10 plant)and low-yielding(<3.79 kg/10 plant)populations and norms were computed using standard DRIS ***-yielding plant population had a statistically greater mean S and Fe than the low-yielding *** average balance index,the sum of functions,for S and Fe were−11.04 and−5.17 which reflected deficiency of S and *** nutrients norms established may optimize plant nutrition in field tomatoes for high yield.

An Efficient Path Planning Strategy in Mobile Sink Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are considered the backbone ofthe Internet of Things (IoT), which enables sensor nodes (SNs) to achieveapplications similarly to human intelligence. However, integrating a WSNwith the IoT is challenging and causes issues that require careful *** the lifetime of a network through appropriately utilising energyconsumption is among the essential challenges due to the limited resourcesof SNs. Thus, recent research has examined mobile sinks (MSs), which havebeen introduced to improve the overall efficiency of WSNs. MSs bear theburden of data collection instead of consuming energy at the routeing bySNs. In a network, some areas generate more data through SNs that containfrequent, urgent messages. These messages carry sensitive data that must bedelivered immediately to user applications. Collecting such messages via MSs,especially on a large scale, increases delays, which are not tolerable in some realapplications. This issue has not been studied much. Thus, the present studyutilises the advantages of the priority parameter to concentrate on these areasand proposes a new model named ‘energy efficient path planning of MS-basedarea priority’ (EEPP-BAP). This method involves non-urgent and urgentmessages. It is comprised of four procedures. Initially, after SNs are distributedrandomly in a wide monitoring field, the monitoring field is partitionedinto equal zones according to priority, either differently or equally. Next isclustering based on the cluster head (CH) selected to perform the particleswarm optimisation algorithm (PSO). Then, the MS moves first to the zoneswith higher priority and less distance to perform the brain storm optimisationalgorithm. Finally, for urgent messages from the other zones at which theMS continues, the proposed approach establishes a routeing technique usingmulti-hop communication based on the MS position and using PSO. The proposed solution is aimed at delivering urgent messages to MSs free of

Evaluation of the viability of nanoparticles in drilling fluids as additive for fluid loss and wellbore stability

Wellbore instability is an issue that,if left untreated,can cause wells to collapse,resulting in human,environmental,equipment,and revenue *** fluids have been used to enhance the drilling process by lubricating and cooling the drill bit,eliminating cuttings,and most importantly,by improving the stability of the well by preventing fluid ***,there has been an increase in operational demands and challenges that call for drilling fluids to be more effective,economical,sustainable,and environmentally *** shales that have infinitesimally small pores,nanoparticle additives in drilling fluids can be crucial in providing the properties that are necessary to prevent fluid loss and provide wellbore stability while meeting the operational demands of the present ***,this paper examines the use of nanoparticle additives including copper(Ⅱ)oxide(CuO),magnesium oxide(MgO),and aluminum oxide(Al_(2)O_(3))where they are tested under three conditions using the permeable plugging tester(PPT),high-temperature high-pressure(HTHP)fluid loss apparatus,and API low-temperature e low-pressure(LTLP)fluid loss apparatus under concentrations of 0.03%and 0.10%.Finally,based on the results,each nanoparticle sample(particle sizes between one and 100 nm)performed well in contributing to the aim of this *** is the most effective inhibitor across all concentrations and under the three different *** contributed to reducing the fluid loss from 37.6 mL to 18.2 and 13.2 mL,which is between 52%and 65%of fluid *** MgO,it contributed to fluid loss reduction to 23.8 mL and 15 mL,which translated to 37%e60%of fluid loss *** use of Al_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles resulted in a fluid loss reduction to 33.6 mL and 17.8 mL,reducing the fluid loss up to 11%,at HTHP and up to 53%at *** CuO and MgO,Al_(2)O_(3) was less effective under HTHP conditions when compared to LTLP ***_(2)O_(3) did not suffer as a significant diminishing

Antioxidant Potential of Four Species of Natural Product and Therapeutic Strategies for Cancer through Suppression of Viability in the Human Multiple Myeloma Cell Line U266

Objective This research aimed to evaluate the protective effects of bioactive compounds such as phenolic acids, flavonoids, and tannins present in four species extracted with methanol. Methods The total phenolic content of the methanolic extracts was measured spectrophotometrically. The effect of the extracts on cell viability in U266 cells was measured. The effects of extracts on free radical scavenging were assessed by the DPPH test and FRAP assay. Antibacterial effects of the natural products in this report were investigated by using the disc diffusion method. Results Our results clearly demonstrated that the methanolic extracts were characterized by a high amount of phenolic compounds. It has been speculated that ME-TA and ME-TAl exhibit a significant(P < 0.05) and dose-dependent antiradical potential. The exposure of cells to high doses of extracts almost completely suppressed cell growth in vitro. ME-TA and ME-TAl showed significant cytotoxic effects at a concentration of 100 μg/mL in the U266 cell line. ME-TAl and ME-CF inhibited the growth of B. subtilis and S. aureus, respectively, to the same extent as 10 μg/μL of chloramphenicol at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. Conclusion Overall, these results suggest that plants used in traditional medicine have a novel application as free radical scavengers, bacterial inhibitors and tumor suppressors.

Is peri-transplant blood transfusion associated with worse transplant outcomes?A retrospective study

BACKGROUND Blood transfusion is common during the peri-transplantation *** incidence of immunological reactions to blood transfusion after kidney transplantation and their consequences on graft outcomes have not been extensively *** To examine the risk of graft rejection and loss in patients who received blood transfusion in the immediate peri-transplantation *** We conducted a single-center retrospective cohort study of 105 kidney recipients,among them 54 patients received leukodepleted blood transfusion at our center between January 2017 and March *** This study included 105 kidney recipients,of which 80%kidneys were from living-related donors,14%from living-unrelated donors,and 6%from deceased ***-related donors were mostly first-degree relatives(74.5%),while the rest were second-degree *** patients were divided into transfusion(n=54)and non-transfusion(n=51)*** average hemoglobin level at which blood transfusion was commenced was 7.4±0.9 mg/*** were no differences between the groups in terms of rejection rates,graft loss,or *** the study period,there was no significant difference in creatinine level progression between the two *** graft function was higher in the transfusion group;however,this finding was not statistically significant.A high number of transfused packed red blood cells was significantly associated with increased creatinine levels at the end of the *** Leukodepleted blood transfusion was not associated with a higher risk of rejection,graft loss,or death in kidney transplant recipients.

Biological treatment of fish processing wastewater:A case study from Sfax City(Southeastern Tunisia)

The present work presents a study of the biological treatment of fish processing wastewa at salt concentration of 55 g/L. Wastewater was treated by both continuous stirred-ta reactor（CSTR） and membrane bioreactor（MBR） during 50 and 100 days, respectively. Th biological processes involved salt-tolerant bacteria from natural hypersaline environme at different organic loading rates（OLRs）. The phylogenetic analysis of the correspond excised DGGE bands has demonstrated that the taxonomic affiliation of the most domin species includes Halomonadaceae and Flavobacteriaceae families of the Proteobacteria（Gamm proteobacteria class） and the Bacteroidetes phyla, respectively. The results of MBR w better than those of CSTR in the removal of total organic carbon with efficiencies from 97 to 98.6%. Nevertheless, salinity with increasing OLR aggravates fouling that requires m cleaning for a membrane in MBR while leads to deterioration of sludge settleability a effluent quality in CSTR.

Simulation is a powerful tool for improving,evaluating and analyzing the performance of new and existing *** simulators provide tools for studying transportation systems in smart cities as they describe the evolution of traffic to the highest level of *** are many types of traffic simulators that allow simulating traffic in modern *** most popular traffic simulation approach is the microscopic traffic simulation because of its ability to model traffic in a realistic *** many cities of Saudi Arabia,traffic management represents a major challenge as a result of expansion in traffic demands and increasing number of ***,employing simulation to provide effective traffic management for local scenarios in Saudi Arabia is limited to a number of commercial products in both public and private *** simulators are usually expensive,closed source and inflexible as they allow limited *** this project,we developed a local traffic simulator“KSUtraffic”for traffic modeling,planning and analysis with respect to different traffic control strategies and *** modeled information specified by GIS and real traffic ***,we designed experiments that manipulate simulation parameters and the underlying *** visualizes traffic and provides statistical results on the simulated traffic which would help to improve traffic management and efficiency.
