Background: Adre.al and parathyroid insufficie.cy are.uncommon in patie.ts with transfusion de.e.de.t Be.a Thalasse.ia (β-Tm). Furthe., myocardial e.hocardiographic abnormalitie. are.re.ognize. but with a variable.outcome. Aim: The.aim is to de.e.mine.the.pre.ale.ce.of adre.al and parathyroid insufficie.cy in patie.t with transfusion de.e.de.t β-Tm. And to asse.s le.t ve.tricle.systolic and diastolic function using Pulse. Dopple. (PD) and Tissue.Dopple. (DT) e.hocardiogram. me.hods:The.study was conducte. on patie.ts with β-Tm (n = 99, age.15.92 ± 8.92 ye.rs) and compare. with an age.matche. controls (n = 98 age.15.79 ± 8.94 ye.rs). In all participants e.hocardiographic indice. of m mode.and PD and TD we.e.pe.forme.. Blood sample. we.e.withdrawn for me.suring the.se.um cortisol, parathyroid and Fe.ritin. Corre.ation be.we.n the.le.e. of cortisol and fe.ritin le.e. was e.aluate.. Re.ults: Patie.ts with β-Tm compare. with controls, had significantly thicke. LV se.tal wall inde. of 0.65 ± 0.26 vs 0.44 ± 0.2190, p 0.001 and LV poste.ior wall of 0.65 ± 0.235 vs 0.43 ± 0.214, p ± 5.5 vs 5.0 ± 5.6, p = 0.23. Furthe.more.patie.ts with β-Tm had highe. e.A ratio (1.54 ± 0.18 vs 1.23 ± 0.17, p 0.01) and shorte. de.e.e.ation time.(DT) (170.53 ± 13.3 vs 210.50 ± 19.20 m se., p 0.01). The.ratio of transmitral e.wave.ve.ocity to the.tissue.Dopple. e.wave.at the.basal se.tal mitral annulus (e.e.) was significantly highe. in β-Tm group (19.68 ± 2.81 vs 13.86 ± 1.41, p 0.05). The.tissue.Dopple. systolic wave.(Sm) ve.ocity and the.e.rly diastolic wave.(e.) we.e.significantly lowe. in β-Tm group compare. with controls with Sm, of 4.82 ± 1.2 vs 6.22 ± 2.1 cm/se., p 0.05 and (e.) of 3.51 ± 2.7 vs 4.12 ± 2.5 cm/se. p 0.05, re.pe.tive.y). The.tricuspid valve.ve.ocity was significantly highe. in β-Tm patie.ts compare. with controls (2.85 ± 0.56 vs 1.743 ± 0.47 m/se., re.pe.tive.y, p 0.01). The.pre.ale.ce.of adre.al insufficie.cy in patie.ts with β-Tm was 16%, hypoparathyroidism of 4.5% we.k

The.aim of this re.e.rch is to find the.e.fe.t of the.ge.magne.ic storms on the.variation of the.Ozone.laye. thickne.s by studying the.hourly variations, daily ave.age.and monthly ave.age.of the.Ozone.amount above.Iraq (38°N - 49°N;28°e.- 38°e., and rate. of productions corre.ate. with fluctuations in ge.magne.ic fie.d inte.sity. Data of total column ozone.(tco3) and te.pe.ature.(t2m) we.e.se.e.te. from the.e.A sate.lite.for ye.r 2015, in which the.e.are.se.e. days strong and se.e.e.ge.magne.ic storms occurring along four months. From the.monthly ave.age.in which the.storm occurre., the.contour maps for (tco3) and (t2m) re.e.l that the.thickne.s of Ozone.laye. in North of Iraq wide. than the.middle.and South of Iraq for all stormy months e.ce.t in Octobe. of 2015 appe.rs which is the.maximum in middle.of Iraq. The.te.pe.ature.is re.e.se.y proportional with Ozone.thickne.s. Re.ults of the.daily ave.age.appe.r that the.e.are.e.hance.e.ts in (tco3) during the.stormy day for the.thre. Iraqi citie. muthanna, Baghdad, and Sulaymaniyah;the.maximum value. in winte. and spring re.ch 356 DU in march. From the.hourly variations of tco3 and t2m for thre. Iraqi citie., it is se.n that in some.e.e.ts it de.re.se. and othe.s incre.se. not de.e.de.t on storm type. The.first me.hod involve. two couple. re.ctions, the.re.uction of Cu(II) to Cu(I) by the.analyte.in ace.ate.buffe. me.ium (pH = 5.9) at 30°C and the.comple.ation re.ction be.we.n Cu(I) and Tz oxidize. form to yie.d Cu-Tz comple. (me.hod I). The.othe. me.hod is base. on oxidation of Tz by alkaline.KmnO4. The.e.re.ctions are.monitore. spe.trophotome.rically at maximum absorbance. 332 and 610 nm for me.hods (I and II) re.pe.tive.y.
