Revisiting the formation mechanism for coronal rain from previous studies

Solar coronal rain is classified generally into two categories:flare-driven and quiescent coronal rain.The latter is observed to form along both closed and open magnetic field structures.Recently,we proposed that some of the quiescent coronal rain events,detected in the transition region and chromospheric diagnostics,along loop-like paths could be explained by the formation mechanism for quiescent coronal rain facilitated by interchange magnetic reconnection between open and closed field lines.In this study,we revisited 38 coronal rain reports from the literature.From these earlier works,we picked 15 quiescent coronal rain events out of the solar limb,mostly suggested to occur in active region closed loops due to thermal nonequilibrium,to scrutinize their formation mechanism.Employing the extreme ultraviolet images and line-of-sight magnetograms,the evolution of the quiescent coronal rain events and their magnetic fields and context coronal structures is examined.We find that six,comprising 40%,of the 15 quiescent coronal rain events could be totally or partially interpreted by the formation mechanism for quiescent coronal rain along open structures facilitated by interchange reconnection.The results suggest that the quiescent coronal rain facilitated by interchange reconnection between open and closed field lines deserves more attention.

Pervasive underwater passive target tracking for the computation of standard deviation solution in a 3D environment

Purpose-Nowadays advancement in acoustic technology can be explored with marine assets.The purpose of the paper is pervasive computing underwater target tracking has aroused military and civilian interest as a key component of ocean exploration.While many pervasive techniques are currently found in the literature,there is little published research on the effectiveness of these paradigms in the target tracking context.Design/methodology/approach-The unscented Kalman filter(UKF)provides good results for bearing and elevation angles only tracking.Detailed methodology and mathematical modeling are carried out and used to analyze the performance of the filter based on the Monte Carlo simulation.Findings-Due to the intricacy of maritime surroundings,tracking underwater targets using acoustic signals,without knowing the range parameter is difficult.The intention is to find out the solution in terms of standard deviation in a three-dimensional(3D)space.Originality/value-A new method is found for the acceptance criteria for range,course,speed and pitch based on the standard deviation for bearing and elevation 3D target tracking using the unscented Kalman filter covariance matrix.In the Monte Carlo simulation,several scenarios are used and the results are shown.

Facile fabrication of TiO_2 nanoparticle–TiO_2 nanofiber composites by co-electrospinning–electrospraying for dye-sensitized solar cells

We report a facile method for the fabrication of TiO2 nanofiber-nanoparticle composite （FP） via. simulta- neous electrospraying and electrospinning for dye-sensitized solar cell （DSC） applications. The loading of nanoparticles on the fibers is controlled by varying their feed rates during electrospinning. The FP composites having three different particle loading are prepared by the methodology and the FP with the highest particle loading （denoted as FP-3 in the manuscript） showed the best overall efficiency of 9.15% in comparison to the other compositions of the FP （FP-2, 8.15% and FP-1, Z51%, respectively） and nanofibers （F） and nanoparticles （P） separately （7.21 and 7.81, respectively）. All the material systems are characterized by spec- troscopy, microscopy, surface area measurements and the devices are characterized by current-voltage （I-V）, incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency （IPCE）, electrochemical impedance measurements, etc. I-V, dye-loading and reflectance measurements throw light on the overall performance of the DSC devices.

The purpose of this paper is to research about the relationship between wage and trade after the liberalization in the country of Bolivia.There are many theories and economist explain how this trade will influence wage in Latin America.The variables in order to use in this paper will be the trade balance,unemployment rate,the index of education of Bolivia and a variable of the industry the Foreign Direct Invesment.There is a brief introduction about some facts and literature review of that influence of the topic.Additionally,there is a part of theorical research about the effect of trade on wage in the short and long run.Moreover,the need to have stylized facts is essential in order to mix with the theory,that is the reason to mention information about trade and the change of wage in Bolivia.Finally,the use of empirical results is convenient for the purpose of prove the relationship between the variables used.This one is made by the program of Stata and with specific data from official websites.

Stock market trends forecast is one of the most current topics and a significant research challenge due to its dynamic and unstable nature.The stock data is usually non-stationary,and attributes are non-correlative to each other.Several traditional Stock Technical Indicators(STIs)may incorrectly predict the stockmarket trends.To study the stock market characteristics using STIs and make efficient trading decisions,a robust model is built.This paper aims to build up an Evolutionary Deep Learning Model(EDLM)to identify stock trends’prices by using STIs.The proposed model has implemented the Deep Learning(DL)model to establish the concept of Correlation-Tensor.The analysis of the dataset of three most popular banking organizations obtained from the live stock market based on the National Stock exchange(NSE)-India,a Long Short Term Memory(LSTM)is used.The datasets encompassed the trading days from the 17^(th) of Nov 2008 to the 15^(th) of Nov 2018.This work also conducted exhaustive experiments to study the correlation of various STIs with stock price trends.The model built with an EDLM has shown significant improvements over two benchmark ML models and a deep learning one.The proposed model aids investors in making profitable investment decisions as it presents trend-based forecasting and has achieved a prediction accuracy of 63.59%,56.25%,and 57.95%on the datasets of HDFC,Yes Bank,and SBI,respectively.Results indicate that the proposed EDLA with a combination of STIs can often provide improved results than the other state-of-the-art algorithms.

Over the past two decades, numerous non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs) have been identified in different biological systems including virology, especially in large DNA viruses such as herpesviruses. As a representative oncogenic alphaherpesvirus, Marek’s disease virus(MDV) causes an important immunosuppressive and rapid-onset neoplastic disease of poultry, namely Marek’s disease(MD). Vaccinations can efficiently prevent the onset of MD lymphomas and other clinical disease, often heralded as the first successful example of vaccination-based control of cancer. MDV infection is also an excellent model for research into virally-induced tumorigenesis. Recently, great progress has been made in understanding the functions of ncRNAs in MD biology.Herein, we give a review of the discovery and identification of MDV-encoded viral miRNAs, focusing on the genomics,expression profiles, and emerging critical roles of MDV-1 miRNAs as oncogenic miRNAs(oncomiRs) or tumor suppressor genes involved in the induction of MD lymphomas. We also described the involvements of host cellular miRNAs, lincRNAs, and circRNAs participating in MDV life cycle, pathogenesis, and/or tumorigenesis. The prospects, strategies, and new techniques such as the CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing applicable for further investigation into the ncRNA-mediated regulatory mechanisms in MDV pathogenesis/oncogenesis were also discussed, together with the possibilities of future studies on antiviral therapy and the development of new efficient MD vaccines.

Neurotrophin treatment to promote regeneration after traumatic CNS injury

Neurotrophins are a family of growth factors that have been found to be central for the development and functional maintenance of the nervous system, participating in neurogenesis, neuronal survival, axonal growth, synaptogenesis and activity-dependent forms of synaptic plasticity. Trauma in the adult nervous system can disrupt the functional circuitry of neurons and result in severe functional deficits. The limitation of intrinsic growth capacity of adult nervous system and the presence of an inhospitable environment are the major hurdles for axonal regeneration of lesioned adult neurons. Neurotrophic factors have been shown to be excellent candidates in mediating neuronal repair and establishing functional circuitry via activating several growth signaling mechanisms including neuron-intrinsic regenerative programs. Here, we will review the effects of various neurotrophins in mediating recovery after injury to the adult spinal cord.

Mounting evidence has emphasized the potential of cell therapies in treating various diseases by restoring damaged tissues or replacing defective cells in the body.Cell therapies have become a strong therapeutic modality by applying noninvasive in vivo molecular imaging for examining complex cellular processes,understanding pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases,and evaluating the kinetics/dynamics of cell therapies.In particular,mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have shown promise in recent years as drug carriers for cancer treatment.They can also be labeled with different probes and tracked in vivo to assess the in vivo effect of administered cells,and to optimize therapy.The exact role of MSCs in oncologic diseases is not clear as MSCs have been shown to be involved in tumor progression and inhibition,and the exact interactions between MSCs and specific cancer microenvironments are not clear.In this review,a multitude of labeling approaches,imaging modalities,and the merits/demerits of each strategy are outlined.In addition,specific examples of the use of MSCs and in vivo imaging in cancer therapy are provided.Finally,present limitations and future outlooks in terms of the translation of different imaging approaches in clinics are discussed.

Influence of volume percentage of NanoTiB2 particles on tribological&mechanical behaviour of 6061-T6 Al alloy nano-surface composite layer prepared via friction stir process

The aim of present study is to analyze the influence of volume percentage(vol.%) of nano-sized particles(TiB_2: average size is 35 nm) on microstructure, mechanical and tribological behavior of 6061-T6 Al alloy surface nano composite prepared via Friction stir process(FSP). The microstructure of the fabricated surface nanocomposites is examined using optical microscopy(OM) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) for distribution of TiB_2 nano reinforcement particles, thickness of nano composite layer formed on the Aluminum alloy substrate and fracture features. The depth of surface nano composite layer is measured as 3683.82 m m along the cross section of stir zone of nano composite perpendicular to FSP. It was observed that increase in volume percentage of TiB_2 particles, the microhardness is increased up to132 Hv and it is greater than as-received Al alloy's microhardness(104 Hv). It is also observed that at 4volume percentage higher tensile properties exhibited as compared with the 2 and 8 vol. %. It is found that high wear resistance exhibited at 4 volume percentage as-compared with the 2 and 8 vol. %. The observed wear and mechanical properties are interrelated with microstructure, fractography and worn morphology.
