被动抗力法考虑了衬砌同围岩之间的相互作用，它根据现场量测的衬砌变形的有限数据即可确定作用在衬砌上的荷载，从而确定其应力，应变及位移状态，它属于反分析范畴。本文介绍了被动抗力法的原理及应用步骤，远场应力的计算方法，并以一个隧道实例来说明。结论认为这种方法速度快，成本低，可靠，在隧道领域的应用有极大的潜力。

Topical aqueous extract of Ephedra alata can improve wound healing in an animal model

Purpose： Ephedra alata （E. alata） is perennial tough shrub plant that grows in Palestine and other regions. It is used often in folk＇s medicine for the treatment of various diseases. In this project, E. alata extract was tested for its ability to improve wound and burn healing. Methods： An aqueous extract ofE. alata was prepared and underwent several phytochemical analyses for the presence of the major classes of phytochemical compounds. After that, a polyethylene glycol-based ointment containing the extract of E. alata was prepared and its wound and burn healing activities were tested in-vivo using an animal model for deep wound and full thickness skin burn. The effect was compared against a placebo ointment. Skin biopsies were evaluated by a blinded clinical histopatholo- gist, in addition to digital analb＇sis. Results： Phytochemical analysis demonstrated the presence of the major classes of phytochemical compounds in the prepared extract including flavonoids, alkaloids, phytosteroids, phenolic compounds, volatile oils and tannins. As compared to placebo ointment, E. alata ointment significantly improved the healing of the wound ulcers, whereas it showed no advantage on the quality of the healing of burn ulcers. Conclusion： E. alata extract is rich in phytochemical compounds and can improve wound healing when applied topically.

Socio-Demographic and Behavioral Factors for Serious Injury among Adolescents in Malaysia

Digital image collection as rapidly increased along with the development of computer network. Image retrieval system was developed purposely to provide an efficient tool for a set of images from a collection of images in the database that matches the user’s requirements in similarity evaluations such as image content similarity, edge, and color similarity. Retrieving images based on the content which is color, texture, and shape is called content based image retrieval（CBIR）. The content is actually the feature of an image and these features are extracted and used as the basis for a similarity check between images. The algorithms used to calculate the similarity between extracted features. There are two kinds of content based image retrieval which are general image retrieval and application specific image retrieval. For the general image retrieval, the goal of the query is to obtain images with the same object as the query. Such CBIR imitates web search engines for images rather than for text. For application specific, the purpose tries to match a query image to a collection of images of a specific type such as fingerprints image and x-ray. In this paper, the general architecture, various functional components, and techniques of CBIR system are discussed. CBIR techniques discussed in this paper are categorized as CBIR using color, CBIR using texture, and CBIR using shape features. This paper also describe about the comparison study about color features, texture features, shape features, and combined features（hybrid techniques） in terms of several parameters. The parameters are precision, recall and response time.

This study was to determine the prevalence and socio-demographic associated factors for serious injury among adolescents in Malaysia. The study used data from the Malaysian Global School-based Health Survey which was conducted in 2012. Logistic regression analysis was used to establish associations. Of the 25,507 respondents, 34.9% (42.1% males and 27.8% females) reported having been in a serious injury. Compared to participants who were not bullied, those who reported being bullied were more likely to have sustained serious injury (aOR = 2.2;95% CI [1.95 - 2.48]). Adolescents who were involved in physical fighting were 57.5% (aOR = 2.75;95% CI [2.53 - 2.99]) and more likely to have sustained serious injury compared to those who were not involved in the fighting. Meanwhile, adolescents who used substances were 52.3% (aOR = 1.68 [1.52 - 1.85]) and more likely to have sustained serious injury compared to those who did not use substances. Serious injury is frequent among adolescents in Malaysia. Based on studies by Harel, suggestion where reduction of substance use and bullying may be assessed if they have an impact in reducing serious injury among adolescents. Furthermore, educational programmes that focus on the underlying causes and determinants of injury provide an effective and efficient method of injury prevention.

Uterine sarcomas are rare malignant tumors characterized by a great clinical and histopathological diversity. The aim of this work is to analyze the difficulties of diagnosis, therapeutic and prognosis posed by these tumors. Thirty-seven patients with uterine sarcoma, collected in the service Radiotherapy and Oncology, University Ibn Rochd of Casablanca between January 2000 and December 2007 were included in this study retrospective. The average patient age was 50 years (17-76). The bleeding was present in all patients, isolated in 54% of cases associated with pelvic pain in 24.6% and a mass abdomino-pelvic in seven patients. The average time of evolution was 10 months. The main histological type was found leiomyosarcoma. Twenty four patients in our series underwent total hysterectomy without annexial conservation. The surgery R0 was obtained in 43% of cases. The sarcomas were classified as stage IV in 51.4%. Adjuvant radiotherapy was indicated in 13 patients. After a mean of 20 months, half of patients evaluable presented a local relapse and/or metastatic, the third of cases were tumor progression while complete remission was maintained in 18.5% of cases. Uterine sarcomas are rare malignant mesenchymal tumor, which often occur in women after menopause. The main prognostic factors are hormonal status of the patient, stage clinical, histological type, histological grade and quality surgical excision. The management of uterine sarcomas is multidisciplinary, based mainly on surgery remains the only means of cure. Adjuvant radiotherapy allows decreased risk of local recurrence, with no impact on survival achieved at best 30% at 5 years. The role of chemotherapy remains confirm.

Dielectric barrier discharge is used as a cheap technique for surface treatment of polycarbonate. The discharge system is working in open air at atmospheric pressure. The treatments are carried out at low discharge powers (1.5 and 2 W) for treatment time (2.5 - 15 min). The treated samples show decrease in the contact angle and increase in the crystallinity, thermal stability and surface roughness. The effect of ozone on the increase in the oxygen containing functional groups is discussed. The treatment process shows effective limitation of the migration of bisphenol A from the surface of polycarbonate due to the cross linking. Zero migration of bisphenole A is recorded as the sample is treated for 7.5 min. The treatment process is found to be very efficient with very low cost.

Antibiotic drugs are a very important drug group considering their frequent use, safety profile and their impact on bacterial resistance induction. Aim: To investigate the utilization of antibiotic drugs at the University Dentistry Clinical Center of Kosovo (UDCCK). Methodology: Retrospective and descriptive study. Patient records were used as a data source collected for a period of 3 months. The total number of registered outpatients in the UDCCK was 1117 patients. The data analysis was performed using the WHO methodology and results were expressed in DDD per 1000 inhabitants per day. Results: The total prescription of antibiotics at UDCCK was 7.18 DDD/ 1000 inhabitants/day. Antibiotics were prescribed for 86 or 7.70% of patients. The most commonly prescribed antibiotic was Amoxicillin with clavulonic acid 3.12 (43.45%) DDD, followed by Metronidazole 2.31 DDD and Amoxicillin 1.25 DDD. Erythromycin and Cefalexin were prescribed evidently less compared to other antibiotics (0.38 and 0.12 DDD/1000 inhabitant/day, respectively). Conclusions: The quantitative analysis showed no rationality of prescription of antibiotics in UDCCK. Generally, the use of antibiotics in both departments of UDCCK is higher compared to other countries. We recommend the implementation of restrictive prescription standards for antibiotics.
