A multiple power quality(MPQ)disturbance has two or more power quality(PQ)disturbances superimposed on a voltage signal.A compact and robust technique is required to identify and classify the MPQ *** manuscript investigated a hybrid algorithm which is designed using parallel processing of voltage with multiple power quality(MPQ)disturbance using stockwell transform(ST)and hilbert transform(HT).This will reduce the computational time to identify theMPQdisturbances,whichmakes the algorithm fast.A MPQ identification index(IPI)is computed using statistical features extracted from the voltage signal using the ST and *** has different patterns for various types of MPQ disturbances which effectively identify the MPQ disturbances.A MPQ time location index(IPL)is computed using the features extracted from the voltage signal using ST and *** effectively identifies the initiation and end of PQ disturbances and thereby locates the MPQ events with respect to *** of MPQ disturbances is performed using decision rules in both the noise-free and noisy environments with a 20 dB noise to signal ratio(SNR).The performance of the proposed hybrid algorithm using ST and HT with rule-based decision tree(RBDT)is better compared to the ST and RBDT techniques in terms of accuracy of classification of MPQ *** software is used to perform the study.

In this paper, a fractional order proportional integral derivative （FOPID） controller for multiarea automatic generation control （AGC） scheme has been designed. FOPID controller has five parameters and provides two additional degrees of flexibility in comparison to a proportional integral derivative （PID） controller. The optimal values of parameters of FOPID controller have been determined using Big Bang Big Crunch （BBBC） search algorithm. The designed controller regulates real power output of generators to achieve the best dynamic response of frequency and tie-line power on a load perturbation. The complete scheme for designing of the controllers has been developed and demonstrated on multiarea deregulated power system. The performance of the designed FOPID controllers has been compared with the optimally tuned PID controllers. It is observed from the results that the FOPID controller shows a considerable improvement in the performance as compared to the conventional PID controller.

The ongoing pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus,SARS-CoV-2,is influencing global ***,there is a major threat of future coronaviruses affecting the entire world in a similar,or even more dreadful,***,effective and biocompatible therapeutic options against coronaviruses are urgently *** address this challenge,medical specialists require a well-informed and safe approach to treating human coronaviruses(HCoVs).Herein,an environmental friendly approach for viral inactivation,based on plasma technology,was considered.A microwave plasma system was employed for the generation of the high amount of gaseous nitric oxide to prepare nitric oxide enriched plasma-activated water(NO-PAW),the effects of which on coronaviruses,have not been reported to *** determine these effects,alpha-HCoV-229E was used in an experimental *** found that NO-PAW treatment effectively inhibited coronavirus infection in host lung cells,visualized by evaluating the cytopathic effect and expression level of spike ***,NO-PAW showed minimal toxicity towards lung host cells,suggesting its potential for therapeutic ***,this new approach resulted in viral inactivation and greatly improved the gene levels involved in host antiviral ***,our findings provide evidence of an initiation point for further progress toward the clinical development of antiviral treatments,including such coronaviruses.

Moringa oleifera Lam.(Shigru)(Moringaceae family) is a traditional medicine used for control of diabetes, obesity, asthma, and cardiac,liver, gastrointestinal, infective, and brain disorders, such as depression and Alzheimer's disease. In Ayurvedic literature, Shigru is among few drugs having Balya(nourishing) as well as Medohara(antiobesity) property. This review focuses on valid connections between the properties documented in ancient literature and current pharmacological knowledge of Moringa, including pharmacological actions, phytochemistry,botanical description, and how Moringa can tackle malnutrition in India, especially Chhattisgarh. All information about M. oleifera was obtained from electronic scientific databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, and Indian Traditional Books(Ancient Ayurveda literatures, The Wealth of India, and The Ayurvedic Formulary of India), postgraduate/doctoral thesis, and googling the keyword M. oleifera. M. oleifera have anti-oxidant, antimicrobial, anti-diabetic,anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, gastroprotective, wound-healing properties and it can potentially tackle malnutrition. This review describes the key information related to botanical description of M. oleifera, phytochemistry,pharmacological actions, clinical studies, toxicological studies, better utilization as food therapeutics, and ethnobotanical and evidence-based comparative review of M. oleifera. M. oleifera can effectively tackle malnutrition in India, especially Chhattisgarh. The authors emphasize the need for future in-depth ethnopharmacological lead-based research and clinical studies to expand M. oleifera pharmacological activities,clinical efficacy, and safety.

Recently a lot of medical tablets with special packets in the global market are available. For the safety and purity of the tablet, we need to scan it by developed scanner technology, which should be not more expensive and easily available in the market. The THz technology is one of them. In the proposed work, we have tasted tablet images with the help of the THz super-resolution scanner, which is already available in our lab. The AI machine learning data concept has been investigated. Good resolution of images has been obtained. Furthermore, the challenging research problems are discussed. Finally, it summarizes the recent updates in terahertz technology for drug inspection and medical applications with potential research challenges.

Recently,the diagnoses of dental caries and other dental issues are in a queue as only X-ray-based techniques are available in most hospitals around the ***(THz)parametric imaging(TPI)is the latest technology that can be applied for medical applications,especially dental *** technology is harmless and thus suitable for biological samples owing to the low energy of THz *** this paper,a developed TPI system is used to investigate the two-dimensional(2 D)and three-dimensional(3D)images of different samples from human *** analyzing the measured images of human teeth,the results suggest that the THz parametric technology is capable of investigating the inner side structure of the *** technique can be useful in detecting the defects in all types of human and animal *** measurement and analytical calculations have been performed by using the TPI system and MATLAB,respectively,and both are in good *** characteristics of THz waves and their interactions with the tooth samples are *** the available THz-based technologies,such as TPI,and their potential applications of diagnoses are also presented.

A compact Ultra-WideBand(UWB) slot antenna is presented in this paper. The slot is modified rectangular in shape and asymmetrically cut in the ground plane. A hexagonal patch with two stepped CoPlanar Waveguide(CPW) feed is used to excite the slot. Wider impedance bandwidth is achieved due to the extra inductive reactance created by the asymmetric slot which neutralizes the capacitive reactance of the hexagonal patch. The measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 11.85 GHz(2.9–14.75 GHz). The radiation patterns of the proposed antenna are obtained and found to be omni-directional in H-plane and bi-directional in E-plane.

The quantitative optical measurement of deep sub-wavelength features with sub-nanometer sensitivity addresses the measurement challenge in the semiconductor fabrication *** scatterings from the sidewalls of patterned devices reveal abundant structural and material *** demonstrated a parametric indirect microscopic imaging(PIMI)technique that enables recovery of the profile of wavelength-scale objects with deep sub-wavelength resolution,based on measuring and filtering the variations of far-field scattering intensities when the illumination was *** finite-difference time-domain(FDTD)numerical simulation was performed,and the experimental results were compared with atomic force microscopic(AFM)images to verify the resolution improvement achieved with *** work may provide a new approach to exploring the detailed structure and material properties of sidewalls and edges in semiconductor-patterned devices with enhanced contrast and resolution,compared with using the conventional optical microscopy,while retaining its advantage of a wide field of view and relatively low cost.

ZrCoSb based half-Heusler(HH)alloys have been widely studied as a p-type thermoelectric(TE)material for power generation applications in the mid-temperature ***,their intrinsically high thermal conductivity has been found to be detrimental for the improvement in their thermoelectric figure-of-merit(ZT),which presently is far below *** the current work,a state-of-the-art ZT~1.1 at 873 K was realized in an optimized composition of nanostructured Zr1-xHfxCoSb_(0.9)Sn_(0.1) HH alloys by employing compositional modulation ***-by-grain compositional variations,which leads to a substantial increase in its power factor coupled with a concurrent decrease in its thermal *** reduction in the phonon mean-free-path is observed on Hf substitution,which is comparable to the average crystallite size(~25 nm),thus leading to a very low thermal conductivity of~2.2Wm^(-1)K^(-1) at 873 K,which is amongst the lowest reported in HH *** TE device characteristics,estimated using cumulative temperature dependence model for quantitative evaluation of TE performance,yielded an output power density of~10 Wcm2 with a leg efficiency of~10%in the optimized composition of nanostructured Zr_(1-x)Hf_(x)CoSb_(0.9)Sn_(0.1) HH alloys,which is comparable to the reported efficiencies of other state-of-the-art TE materials.

Erratic rainfall often results in intermittent drought and/or waterlogging and limits maize(Zea mays L.)productivity in many parts of the Asian *** climate-resilient maize germplasm possessing tolerance to these key abiotic stresses without a yield penalty under optimal growing conditions is a challenge for breeders working in stress-vulnerable agro-ecologies in the *** stress-resilient maize for rainfed stress-prone ecologies is identified as one of the priority areas for CIMMYT-Asia maize *** applied rapid cycle genomic selection(RCGS)on two multiparent yellow synthetic populations(MYS-1 and MYS-2)to improve grain yield simultaneously under drought and waterlogging conditions using genomic-estimated breeding values(GEBVs).Also,the populations were simultaneously advanced using recurrent phenotypic selection(PS)by exposing them to managed drought and waterlogging and intermating tolerant plants from the two selection *** cycles per se(C1,C2,and C3)of the two populations developed using RCGS and PS approach and their test-cross progenies were evaluated separately in multilocation trials under managed drought,waterlogging,and optimal moisture *** genetic gains were observed with both GS and PS,except with PS in MYS-2 under drought and with GS in MYS-1 under *** genetic gains from GS were relatively higher under drought conditions(110 and 135 kg ha^(-1) year^(-1))compared to waterlogging(38 and 113 kg ha^(-1) year^(-1))in both MYS-1 and MYS-2,***,under waterlogging stress PS showed at par or better than GS as gain per year with PS was 80 and 90 kg ha^(-1),whereas with GS it was 90 and 43 kg ha^(-1) for MYS-1 and MYS-2,*** findings suggested that careful constitution of a multiparent population by involving trait donors for targeted stresses,along with elite highyielding parents from diverse genetic background,and its improvement using RCGS is an effe
