t.e aim.of t.e present.st.dy was t. det.rm.ne t.e prevalence of bovine cyst.cercosis in bot. cat.le and buffloas, in Egypt.and t. assess t.e cyst.cidal efficacy of Balanit.s aegypt.aca fruit. (B. aegypt.aca) and m.ringa oleifera seeds (m. oleifera) ext.act. in experim.nt.lly infect.d m.ce. t.e st.dy det.ct.d t.e level of t.m.r necrosis fact.r (t.F-α) t. m.nit.r t.e im.une and inflam.at.ry responses of experim.nt.lly infect.d m.ce. t.rough m.at.inspect.on, a t.t.l num.er of 2125 m.le bovine, 2 t. 5 years old, (1125 cat.le and 1000 buffloes) were exam.ned under t.e aut.orit. of Albsat.ne and Alwaraq official abat.oirs in Cairo Governorat., Egypt.covering t.e period ext.nded from.m.rch 2022 t. April 2023. t.e overall prevalence of t.e disease am.ng bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of cat.le and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegypt.aca and m. oleifera ext.act. showed cyst.cidal act.vit. in experim.nt.lly infect.d m.ce. A decrease in t.e num.ers of cyst.cerci was found in all t.eat.d m.ce groups, and up t. 88% reduct.on was achieved in t.e B. aegypt.aca-t.eat.d group;higher t.an t.at.was recorded in bot. m. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-t.eat.d ones (80.56%). Post.0}rt.m.findings proved t.at.m. oleifera and B. aegypt.aca reduced cyst.cerci num.ers com.arable t. a com.ercial ant.elm.nt.c. t.e st.dy showed a significant.decrease (P 0.001) in t.F-α levels aft.r t.eat.0}nt.wit. Balanit.s and m.ringa ext.act., com.ared wit. t.e unt.eat.d cont.ol and t.e albendazole-t.eat.d groups.

A new series of benzot.iazole Schiff bases 3–29 was synt.esized and screened for ant.t.m.r act.vit. against.cervical cancer（Hela） and kidney fibroblast.cancer（COS-7） cell lines. Result. indicat.d t.at.com.ounds 3, 14, 19, 27 and 28 have prom.sing act.vit. against.Hela cell line wit. IC50 values of 2.41,3.06, 6.46, 2.22 and 6.25 m.ol/L, respect.vely, in com.arison t. doxorubicin as a reference ant.t.m.r agent.IC50 2.05 m.ol/L）. In addit.on, com.ound 3 displayed excellent.act.vit. against.COS-7 cell line wit. IC50 value of 4.31 m.ol/L in com.arison t. doxorubicin（IC50 3.04 m.ol/L）. In t.e present.work,st.uct.re based pharm.cophore m.pping, m.lecular docking, prot.in-ligand int.ract.on, fingerprint. and binding energy calculat.ons were em.loyed in a virt.al screening st.at.gy t. ident.fy t.e int.ract.on bet.een t.e com.ounds and t.e act.ve sit. of t.e put.t.ve t.rget. EGFR t.rosine kinase. m.lecular propert.es, t.xicit., drug-likeness, and drug score profiles of com.ounds 3, 14, 19, 27, 28 and 29 were also assessed.

New series of benzot.iazole derivat.ves were designed and synt.esized. t.e newly synt.esized com.ounds were screened for t.eir ant.bact.rial act.vit. against.Escherichia coli, St.phylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. Com.ounds 6j and 6o showed t.e highest.act.vit. against.E. coli and S. aureus. t.e ant.fungal act.vit. of t.ese com.ounds was also t.st.d against.Candida albicans and Aspergillus fum.gat.s293. Com.ounds 4c, 4g and 6j exhibit.d t.e highest.act.vit. against.C. albicans. In addit.on, com.ounds4 a and 6j displayed prom.sing act.vit. against.A. fum.gat.s 293. t.e sam. com.ounds were exam.ned for t.eir ant.quorum.sensing act.vit. against.Chrom.bact.rium.violaceum.At.C 12472, whereas com.ounds4 a, 6j and 6p showed m.derat. act.vit.. t.e in vit.o cyt.t.xicit. t.st.ng of t.e synt.esized com.ounds was perform.d against.cervical cancer（Hela） and kidney fibroblast.cancer（COS-7） cell lines. AIm. t. observe t.e im.alance bet.een t.helper cell t.1 and t.2 cyt.kines in several chronic hepat.t.s disease at.different.st.ges of disease progression. m.t.ODS： We m.asured t.e cyt.kine levels of t.l （IL-2 and IL-2R）, t.2 （IL-10） and t.e pro-inflam.at.ry cyt.kines （IL-6 and IL-6R and t.F and t.F-RI and II） by t.e elISA t.chnique in t.e sera of 33 hepat.cellular carcinom. （HCC） pat.ent. and 20 chronic liver disease （CLD） pat.ent.. In addit.on, 20 asym.t.m.t.c hepat.t.s C virus carriers and 20 healt.y subject. negat.ve for hepat.t.s C virus（HCV） m.rkers served as cont.ols. RESULt.： Ant.-HCV ant.bodies were found t. be posit.ve in 94% of HCC cases and 75% of CLD cases. On t.e ot.er hand, HCV virem.a was det.ct.d using Rt. PCR in 67% of HCC cases and 65% of CLD cases. HBsAg was posit.ve in 9% of HCC cases and 30% of CLD cases. Also bilharziaI-Ab was posit.ve in 55% of HCC cases, 65% of CLD cases and in 70% of asym.t.m.t.c carriers （ASC）. HCC pat.ent. had significant.y higher values of IL- 2R, t.F-RII （P〈0.001）, and t.F-RI （P〉0.05）, but.lower t.Fα （P〈0.001） and IL-6 （P = 0.032） in com.arison t. ASC. But. in com.arison t. non-cancer cont.ols, HCC pat.ent. had higher values of IL-2R, IL-6R, t.F-RI and t.F-RII, but.lower t.F-α （P〈0.001）. CLD pat.ent. had higher IL-2R, t.F-RI, and t.F-RII （P〈0.001） t.an ASC. But. in com.arison t. non-cancer cont.ols, CLD pat.ent. had higher values of IL-2R, t.F-RI and t.F-RII, but.lower t.F-α （P〈0.001）. IL-10 was higher （t.ough not.significant.y） in HCC and CLD pat.ent. t.an in sym.t.m.t.c carriers and non-cancer cont.ols. CONCLUSION： Liver disease progression from.CLD t. HCC due t. HCV genot.pe-4 infect.on is associat.d wit. an im.alance bet.een t.1 and t.2 cyt.kines. IL-2R, t.F-RI, and t.F-RII could be used as pot.nt.al m.rkers.

AIm.t. evaluat. t.e evolut.on, t.ends in surgical approaches a n d r e c o n s t.r u c t.i o n t.e c h n i q u e s, a n d i m.p o r t.a n t.lessons learned from.perform.ng 1000 consecut.ve pancreat.coduodenect.m.es(PDs) for periam.ullary *** t.is is a ret.ospect.ve review of t.e dat. of all pat.ent. who underwent.PD for periam.ullary t.m.r during t.e period from.January 1993 t. April 2017. t.e dat. were cat.gorized int. t.ree periods, including early period(1993-2002), m.ddle period(2003-2012), and lat. period(2013-2017).RESULt. t.e frequency showed PD was increasingly perform.d aft.r t.e year 2000. Wit. t.m., elderly, cirrhot.c and obese pat.ent., as well as pat.ent. wit. uncinat. process carcinom. and borderline t.m.r were increasingly select.d for PD. t.e m.dian operat.ve t.m. and post.perat.ve hospit.l st.y decreased significant.y over t.e periods. Hospit.l m.rt.lit. declined significant.y, from.6.6% t. 3.1%. Post.perat.ve com.licat.ons significant.y decreased, from.40% t. 27.9%. t.ere was significant.decrease in post.perat.ve pancreat.c fist.la in t.e second 10 years, from.15% t. 12.7%. t.ere was a significant.im.rovem.nt.in m.dian survival and overall survival am.ng t.e *** Surgical result. of PD significant.y im.roved, wit. m.rt.lit. rat. nearly reaching 3%. Pancreat.c reconst.uct.on following PD is st.ll debat.ble. t.e survival rat. was also im.roved but.t.e rat. of recurrence is st.ll high, at.36.9%.

AIm. t. st.dy t.e result. for t.e t.eat.0}nt.of sym.t.m.t.c hem.rrhoids using rubber band ligat.on (RBL) m.t.od. m.t.ODS: A ret.ospect.ve st.dy for 750 pat.ent. who cam. t. t.e colorect.l unit.from.June, 1998 t. Sept.m.er, 2006, dat. was ret.ieved from.archived fi les. RBL was perform.d using t.e m. Gown applicat.r on an out.at.ent.basis. t.e pat.ent. were asked t. ret.rn t. out.pat.ent.clinic for follow up at.2 wk, 1 m., 6 m. and t.rough t.lephone call every 6 m. for 2 years). RESULt.: Aft.r RBL, 696 pat.ent. (92.8%) were cured wit. no difference in out.om. for second or t.ird degree hem.rrhoids (P = 0.31). Sym.t.m.t.c recurrence was det.ct.d in 11.04% aft.r 2 years. A t.t.l of 52 pat.ent. (6.93%) had 77 com.licat.ons from.RBL which required no hospit.lizat.on. Com.licat.ons were pain, rect.l bleeding and vaso-vagal sym.t.m.(4.13%, 4.13% and 1.33% of pat.ent., respect.vely). At.1 m. t.ere were a significant.im.rovem.nt.in m.an SF-36 scores over baseline in five it.m., while aft.r 2 years t.ere were im.rovem.nt.in all it.m. over baseline, but.not.significant. No significant.m.nom.t.ric changes aft.r band ligat.on. CONCLUSION: RBL is a sim.le, safe and effect.ve m.t.od for t.eat.ng sym.t.m.t.c second and t.ird degree hem.rrhoids as an out.pat.ent.procedure wit. signifi cant.im.rovem.nt.in qualit. of life. RBL doesn't.alt.r ano-rect.l funct.ons.

Helicobact.r pylori is one of t.e m.st.com.on infect.ons worldwide. Available dat. on t.e possible associat.on bet.een H. pylori infect.on and Dm.are cont.adict.ry. t.ere are a few st.dies in t.e m.ddle East. and t.is st.dy is t.e pioneer st.dy, in t.e m.dical Services Clinics in Gaza st.ip. Aim.: t.is st.dy was conduct.d t. reveal t.e prevalence of H. pylori infect.on, m.lnut.it.on, insulin resist.nce am.ng t.Dm.pat.ent., t. describe t.e diet.ry requirem.nt. of t.Dm.pat.ent., finally t. evaluat. t.e current.inform.t.on about.diet. and lifest.le in t.e prevent.on of H. pylori, and m.lnut.it.on. m.t.odology: A cross-sect.onal st.dy was conduct.d in t.e m.dical Services Clinics in Gaza St.ip, and t.ere were 129 pat.ent. included in t.is st.dy. Dat. were collect.d t.rough hem.t.logical inform.t.on and st.uct.red int.rview quest.onnaire. Result.: Highly significant.percent.ge of H. pylori (70%) am.ng t.e Dm.pat.ent. includes in t.e st.dy, but.not.indicat.s any significant.associat.on bet.een gender and H. pylori st.t.s. Conclusion: H. pylori pat.ent. should updat. t.eir sugar level values in t.e record, and should get.exercise and diet.plan for every m.al.
