Gd3+-,Pr3+-or Sm3+-doped Co-Zn(Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2 O4)magnetic ferrites(i.e.,Co0.5Zn0.5Gd0.1Fe1.9O4,Co0.5Zn0.5Pr0.1Fe1.9O4 and Co0.5Zn0.5Sm0.1Fe1.9O4)were prepared using a facile sol-gel approach,and the structure,surface morphology and chemical composition of the products were studied by means of scanning electron microscopy(SeM),energy dispersive X-ray analysis(eDX),X-ray diffraction(XRD),UVvisible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS),photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)*** patterns show the Co-Zn product is composed of cubic spinel phases with few impurities or secondary phases,and the average crystallite sizes of the samples are determined to be approximately^51—80,~99—181,~68—103 and^83—133 *** the coercivity and remnant and saturation magnetizations,evaluated by vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM),are found to increase linearly with the incorporation of Gd3+,Pr3+and Sm3+in the product *** CO1-xZnxFe2-yRyO4 photocatalyst sample is found to display a red shift in its absorption,and exhibits outstanding photocatalytic effects in the degradation of MO under ultraviolet(UV)*** is attributed to the reduction of the band gap of cobalt-zinc ferrite due to the presence of rare earth *** in vitro evaluations of the cytotoxic effects of the synthesized nanoparticles were performed on a HeLa cell line.

Dissolution method for delapril and manidipine combination tablets based on an absorption profile of manidipine

The present study describes the development and validation of a dissolution method for delapril （DeL） and manidipine （MAN） combination tablets, using a simulated absorption profile based on in vivo data for MAN. The suitable in vitro dissolution profile for this formulation was obtained using 900 mL of citrate buffer pH 3.2 at 37 ℃ ± 0.5 ℃ as dissolution medium and USP apparatus 2 （paddle） at 75 rpm. all samples were analyzed by a liquid chromatography （LC） method. Under these conditions, a significant linear relationship between the absorbed （calculated by deconvolution approach） and dissolved fractions of MAN was obtained （R=0.997） and an in vivo-in vitro （IVIV） correlation for this particular formulation containing MAN can be established. Validation parameters for dissolution methodology such as the specificity, linearity, accuracy and precision were also evaluated according to the international guidelines, giving results within the acceptable range. Therefore, the proposed dissolution conditions can be applied for the simultaneous release analysis of DeL and MAN from the solid dosage form, contributing to the improvement of the quality control of pharmaceutics and minimizing the number of bioavailability studies.

To establish consensual definitions of anoperineal lesions of Crohn’s (APLOC) disease and assess interobserver agreement on their diagnosis between experts. MeTHODSA database of digitally recorded pictures of APLOC was examined by a coordinating group who selected two series of 20 pictures illustrating the various aspects of APLOC. A reading group comprised: eight experts from the Société Nationale Française de Colo Proctologie group of study and research in proctology and one academic dermatologist. all members of the coordinating and reading groups participated in dedicated meetings. The coordinating group initially conducted a literature review to analyse verbatim descriptions used to evaluate APLOC. The study included two phases: establishment of consensual definitions using a formal consensus method and later assessment of interobserver agreement on the diagnosis of APLOC using photos of APLOC, a standardised questionnaire and Fleiss’s kappa test or descriptive statistics. ReSULTSTerms used in literature to evaluate visible APLOC did not include precise definitions or reference to definitions. Most of the expert reports on the first set of photos agreed with the main diagnosis but their verbatim reporting contained substantial variation. The definitions of ulceration (entity, depth, extension), anal skin tags (entity, inflammatory activity, ulcerated aspect), fistula (complexity, quality of drainage, inflammatory activity of external openings), perianal skin lesions (abscess, papules, edema, erythema) and anoperineal scars were validated. For fistulae, they decided to follow the American Gastroenterology Association’s guidelines definitions. The diagnosis of ulceration (κ = 0.70), fistulae (κ = 0.75), inflammatory activity of external fistula openings (86.6% agreement), abscesses (84.6% agreement) and erythema (100% agreement) achieved a substantial degree of interobserver reproducibility. The importance of evaluating the leaf area in red tomato plants aims to determine the growth and development of crops established two production cycles, spring-summer and autumn-winter to compare the influence of temperature on the growth of leaf area. Repeated, weekly samples were taken by identifying the week and determining the growth and leaf area development using Markov chains, using an array of transition to describe and represent in a flowchart the finite number of physiological States. With the analysis in the steady state process and applying the equations of odds, we get that leaf area growth is established from the seventh week shown in the first cycle (C1) with the chance of 0.266, 0.264 and 0.263, in the last two weeks. It was observed an increase of 6% in the cycle autumn-winter cycle compared spring-summer.

Genetic Variation of <i>hTeRT</i>, Leukocyte Telomere Length and the Risk of Breast Cancer: A Case-Control Study in egyptian Females

Background: hTeRT is a key player in telomere biology and its activity is directly related to cell senescence and development of many health-related problems including cancer. although previous studies investigated this association, the results greatly vary among populations. This study aimed to investigate the association of hTeRT gene SNPs and the risk of breast cancer (BC) in egyptian females and their impact on telomere length (TL). Methods: 218 BC patients and 178 age-matched healthy females were genotyped for hTeRT variants rs2736098G > A, rs2735940C > T using PCR-RFLP and for MNS16A tandem repeat using PCR to determine their association with breast cancer risk. Telomere length was measured using qPCR. Results: hTeRT rs2736098G > A results indicated that both AG and GG genotypes and G al.ele were associated with an increased risk of BC. The rs2735940 TT genotype was significantly associated with BC risk, however, the MNS16A tandem repeat region polymorphism didn’t show any correlation with the risk of developing BC. TL showed a significant reduction in BC patients with age 40 years compared with controls. However, it didn’t show a significant difference above the age of 40 years. Conclusions: hTeRT rs2736098 and rs27365940, not MNS16A may be associated with an increased risk of developing BC in egyptian females. also, telomere length can be a promising screening marker of BC especially in young population.

The Use of Ocean-Colour Data to estimate Chl-a Trends in european Seas

Ocean-colour remote-sensing products have been used to estimate Chl-a trends in european seas with the aim to develop a new indicator based on ocean-colour data for the european environment Agency (eeA). The new indicator, cal.ed CSI023(+), derived from satellite ocean-colour products from the MyOcean Marine Core Service (***) has been defined and calculated. In our analysis, we have used 3 MyOcean satellite products: 2 global satellite products (SeaWiFS and a merged product) and one regional (adjusted to specific regional Mediterranean conditions) ocean-colour product. We have evaluated the differences among the 3 different products in estimating Chl-a trends. CSI023(+) complements the eeA CSI023 indicator for eutrophication based on chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) in-situ observations. Analysis has revealed the potential of ocean colour as a CSI023(+) indicator to detect large-scale, and in some cases, even local-scale, changes and decreasing trends of Chl-a were observed throughout the Black Sea, the eastern Mediterranean, the southern part of the Western Mediterranean, the english Channel and the north part of the North Sea. Large areas with increasing trends were observed in the Bay of Biscay, in the North-east Atlantic regions of Ireland and the UK, in the northern part of the North Sea, in the Kattegat and in the Baltic. Specific analysis has been performed in the Mediterranean coastal areas using regional products to investigate local scale results. Validation of ocean-colour products has been carried out through comparison with observations of the eionet eeA database. The validation results highlight that regional products produced with regional algorithms are recommended for the future.

Impact of Sea Surface Temperature on COSMO Forecasts of a Medicane over the Western Mediterranean Sea

The paper describes and analyzes the sensitivity of an operational atmospheric model to different SST （sea surface temperature） estimates. The model＇s sensitivity has been analyzed in a Medicane （Mediterranean hurricane） test case. Numerical simulations have been performed using the COSMO （consortium for small-scale modeling） atmospheric model, in the COSMO-Me configuration. The model results show that the model is capable of capturing the position, timing and intensity of the cyclone. Sensitivity experiments have been carried out using different SSTs surface boundary conditions for the COSMO forecasts. Four different experiments have been carried out： the first two using SST fields obtained from the OSTIA （operational sea surface temperature and sea ice analysis） system, while the other two using the SST analyses and forecasts from MFS （Mediterranean Forecasting System, Tonani et al., 2015; Pinardi and Coppini, 2010）. The different boundary conditions determine differences in the trajectory, pressure minimum and wind intensity of the simulated Medicane. The sensitivity experiments showed that a colder than real SST field determines a weakening of the minimum pressure at the vortex center. MFS SST analyses and forecasts allow the COSMO model to simulate more realistic minimum pressure val.es, trajectories and wind speeds. It was found that MFS SST forecast, as surface boundary conditions for COSMO-Me runs, determines a significant improvement, compared to ASCAT observations, in terms of wind intensity forecast as well as cyclone dimension and location.

A halotolerant, gram positive, motile and rod, was isolated from the e1 Gol6a lake of Ghardaia, alegria and screened for its antimicrobial potential. The strain showed an inhibitory effect to gram positive and gram negative bacteria against Cladosporium spp. and a slight inhibitory effect against C. albicans using chloroform as the extraction solvent and the nutrient broth as production medium. 16S rRNA sequencing showed that the isolate named LMB3981 is a new taxon in the family of Bacillaceae （with 96% similarity）. The strain is close to Filobacillus milosensis and Bacillus haloalkaliphilum with 95% similarity. The phenotypic study showed differences between LMB3981 and two strains that are near and have confirmed the results of 16S rRNA sequencing by specific metabolic properties of the strain.

Preparing and evaluation of New Nutritious Products from Quail Meat

The objective of this study is preparation of new nutritious products from quail meat compared to other products prepared from chicken meat as control and commercial products which bought from supermarket. The proximate composition, chemical, physical and sensorial properties were evaluated. The different products were prepared as sausage form quail meat (SQ), chicken meat (SC) and commercial (SCo), and, kofta from quail meat (KQ), chicken meat (KC) and commercial (KCo), and, nuggets from quail meat (NQ), chicken meat (NC) and commercial (NCo). The result observed that the chemical composition of products that prepared from quail meat recorded the highest content of protein and ash, on contrary, the lowest content of fat compared with products that prepare from chicken meat as control or commercial. all products that prepared from quail meat recorded high content of K, Ca, Mg, P, Fe, Zn, Se and vitamin A, Kofta was the highest one followed by nuggets then sausage products. While sausage products that prepared from both quail and chicken meat as control recorded the highest content of vitamin E, followed nuggets and kofta, respectively compared with commercial products. The results indicated decreasing cooking loss after preparing of quail meat products followed by both chicken meat products as control and commercial product, increasing water capacity (WHC) e="font-family:"">of KQ and plasticity of SQ and NQ. all products were accepted from panelists while slightly significant difference among these products (P > 0.05). SC was the highest score in colour, taste, odour, texture and overall acceptability compared with SQ and SC
