Ambient noise H/V spectral ratio in site effects estimation in Fateh jang area, Pakistan

Local geology or local site effect is a crucial component while conducting seismic risk assessment studies. Investigations made by utilization of ambient noise are an effective tool for local site estimation. The present study is conducted to perform site response analysis at 13 different sites within urban settlements of Fateh jang area （Pakistan）. The aim of this study was achieved by utilizing Nakamura method or H/V spectral ratio method. Some important local site parameters, e.g., the fundamental fre- quencies f0 of soft sediments, amplitudes A0 of corre- sponding H/V spectral ratios, and alluvium thicknesses over 13 sites within the study area, were measured and analyzed. The results show that the study area reflects low fundamental frequency fo. The fundamental frequencies of the sediments are highly variable and lie in a range of 0.6-13.0 Hz. Similarly, amplification factors at these sites are in the range of 2.0-4.0.

The global population is increasing rapidly as compared to food production;approximately three times more food would be required in *** change affects crop production by causing sudden changes in weather conditions,including rain,storms,heat waves,doughiness,and water *** with smart technology provides a productive *** farming is a productive solution that provides a great resource of income and improves the countries’economy by exporting consumable goods and preventing food security *** agriculture provides a combination of flexibility,remote access,and automation through the use of intelligent control *** countries are working towards smart and intelligent agriculture farming that analyzes crop,soil fertility,pests and weeds,and other problems caused by mismanagement and ***,smart agricultural farming is less widely adopted in agriculture as a result of high costs and little understanding of *** this study,An artificial climate control chamber(ACCC)was designed for cultivating plants by controlling the optimal parameters,especially the light *** ACCC,influential plant factors such as light,moisture,humidity,and fertilizer concentration have been controlled *** spectrum was controlled by time periods in the previous system,while in the system proposed in this study,the light was controlled by image *** an artificial control chamber,the plant growth stages have been determined through image processing *** of image images have been used to organize specific intensities of the light *** intelligent system provides aid in the speed breeding procedure through variant spectrums of light and fertilizers *** the research study,the yield and quality of intelligent farming are enhanced.

Economics of Different Genotypes of Cotton Planted under Various Planting Densities

A field experiment was conducted in order to evaluate the economics of different genotypes of cotton planted under various planting densities at Agronomic Research Area, University of Agriculture Faisalabad during the summer season in 2013. Sowing was done manually with the help of dibbling method on both sides of the bed in standing water, with bed distance of 75 cm. The crop was sown in May and the experiment comprised of following FH-142, FH-114 at various densities (S1 = 10 cm, S2 = 15 cm, S3 =20 cm, S4 = 25 cm, S5 = 30 cm). Data regarding net field benefit, benefit cost ratio, dominance analysis, and marginal rate of return were collected. The experimental results showed that maximum NFB of (Rs. 222,575), (Rs. 202,483) was achieved in FH-142 and FH-114 when planted at a plant spacing of 20 cm and 15 cm respectively. While the maximum benefit cost ratio (BCR) of 1.76 was found in genotype FH-142 at plant spacing of 20 and 25 cm and FH-114 depicted maximum BCR of 1.62 and 1.61 when planted at plant spacing of 15 and 20 cm, respectively. Dominance analysis of FH-142 planted at 10 and 15 cm while FH-114 at plant spacing of 10, 15 and 20 cm was dominated due to their lower net field benefits as compared to other treatments, while maximum marginal rate of return (1494%, 788%) by planting FH-142, FH-114 was obtained at 30 cm and 25 cm recorded respectively.
