in the present study, the data for population dynamics of micromammalia in Dnipropetrovs＇k Region in 1957-1999 and Dnipro-Orel＇s Natural Reserve at 1991-2009 are adduced. With the purpose to drawing up of the long-term forecast at number are analyzed long-term lines of number on background kind＇s fine micromammals of dominant group. The analysis of long standing rows of number small mammals and comparison data with Wolf number were demonstration, which indicate that dynamic of number phone species （and dominant in particular） carry a cyclic character and contact with 11-year cycles of sun activity. Consequently, it was clearing up hidden periodical in dynamic of number mouse rodents. By that observation was dependence from cycles of sun activity. Probably, that in 2012 year, before peak of sun activity in 2013, next high increase about the number of small mammals for maxima （＂outbreak＂ mass reproduction is a peak ＂big wave＂） will take place.

The steady flow and heat transfer of a hybrid nanofluid past a permeable stretching/shrinking wedge with magnetic field and radiation effects are studied. The governing equations of the hybrid nanofluid are converted to the similarity equations by techniques of the similarity transformation. The bvp4c function that is available in MATLAB software is utilized for solving the similarity equations numerically. The numerical results are obtained for selected different values of parameters. The results discover that two solutions exist, up to a certain value of the stretching/shrinking and suction strengths. The critical value in which the solution is in existence decreases as nanoparticle volume fractions for copper and wedge angle parameter increase. it is also found that the hybrid nanofluid enhances the heat transfer rate compared with the regular nanofluid. The reduction of the heat transfer rate is observed with the increase in radiation parameter. The temporal stability analysis is performed to analyze the stability of the dual solutions, and it is revealed that only one of them is stable and physically reliable.

The article presents the results of the experimental study that was devoted to determining the blocking influence of the solar microwave radiation on the process of biofilm formation in Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms. The microwave generator that allows simulating microwave “splashes” of the Sun in the frequency range (4.0 - 4.3 GHz) with the controlled intensity of radiation (from 50 μW/sm2 to 500 μW/sm2) was used for conducting this research. it is found out that the simulated solar radiation of the microwave range blocks the formation of the extracellular matrix by the opportunistic microorganisms. The results of this study confirm the hypothesis of the evolutionary nature of the leading role of the microwave radiation of the Sun in the life processes of organisms. The technology of the exposure on the microorganisms that was used in the experiment opens up the real prospects for reducing the persistent potential of microorganisms and improving the efficiency of the bacterial infections treatment.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae polyphosphatase PPN1 (uniprot/Q04119) degrades inorganic polyphosphates both by cleaving Pi from the chain end and by fragmenting long-chain polymers into shorter ones. in this study, we have found a new activity of this protein: it releases phosphate from dATP. The dATP phosphohydrolase activity of pure PPN1 was ~7-fold lower compared to the exopolyphosphatase activity. This activity was strongly stimulated by Co2+ ions, as well as by ammonium ions, and inhibited by heparin and pyrophosphate similar to the exopolyphosphatase activity of PPN1. The Km value for dATP was 0.88 ± 0.14 mM. The dATP phosphohydrolase activity in the cells of PPN1-overexpressing yeast strain was several-fold higher than that in the parent strain. The other exopolyphosphatase of S. cerevisiae, PPX1, did not split Pi from dATP.

The psychiatric profile of the U.S. patient population across age groups

introduction: As the U.S. population undergoes continuous shifts the population’s health profile changes dynamically resulting in more or less expression of certain psychiatric disorders and utilization of health-care resources. in this paper, we analyze national data on the psychiatric morbidity of American patients and their summated cost in different age groups. Methods: The latest data (2009) on the number of hospital discharges and national bill (hospital charges) linked with psychiatric disorders were extracted from the Nationwide inpatient Sample (NiS). Results: National data shows that mood disorders are the largest diagnostic category in terms of percentage of psychiatri-crelated discharges in the 1 - 17 years age group. The proportion decreases gradually as age progresses while delirium, dementia, amnestic and other cognitive disorders increase exponentially after 65 years of age. Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders as well as alcohol and substance-related disorders peak in the working age groups (18 - 64 years). From an economic point of view, mood disorders in the 18 - 44 age group has the highest national bill ($5.477 billion) followed by schizophrenic and other psychotic disorders in the same age group ($4.337 billion) and mood disorders in the 45 - 64 age group ($4.310 billion). On the third place come schizophrenic and other psychotic disorders in the 45 - 64 age group ($3.931 billion). Conclusion: This paper illustrates the high cost of psychiatric care in the U.S., especially the large fraction of healthcare money spent on working-age patients suffering from mood disorders. This underlines psychiatric cost-efficiency as a vital topic in the current healthcare debate.

Practical application of new methods of а plant genome transformation resulted in the need for strict regulation of the safety assessment process of genetically modified organisms of plant origin, intended for use in food. The devise of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) of plant origin safety assessment system, which is currently valid in the Russian Federation, was initiated in 1995-1996. Not only does the system accumulate all domestic and foreign experience, it also includes the latest scientific approaches, based on achievements of fundamental science. in the present article authors focused on issues of the basic legislative regulations of plant biotechnology in the Russian Federation, and approaches to the safety assessment of GM food and control over such food. GMO safety assessment is carried out at the stage of State registration. The subject of registration is novel food products derived from GMO, manufactured in the Russian Federation, as well as food products, entering the Russian Federation for the first time. in the system of medical and biological assessment of the GMO safety, along with general toxicological research, the study of specific types of toxicity in in vivo experiments takes a prominent place. in accordance with established research practice, which uses an integrated approach, and provides with the most complete and reliable information on potential reprotoxic, genotoxic, immunotoxic and allergenic effects of GMO, as well as enables to reveal possible unintended effects of genetic modification. From 1999 to 2016 22 GM lines passed the entire cycle of medical-biological investigations. By 2016 there had been amassed scientific foundation on GMO safety, which includes the analysis of result of research, carried out within the framework of GMO state registration in the Russian Federation, as well as domestic and international data, presented by scientific literature on the problem of biotechnological food safety, at both registration stage
